Can someone link my a well informed article regarding Dual Core in Android phones?

I keep seeing commenters on Engadget talking about how Android 2.3 and earlier version (not sure about honeycomb) do not implement dual-core technology at all. So in the short-term these dual-core phones that everyone has are put to waste.
Is this true? I may have recalled some of the facts wrong, but please tell me the reality about dual-core on Android. Feel free to give me links to well informed articles.
Google was not helpful at all.
Thanks.

What is wrong with MediaTek SOCs

I can't seem to find out any proper information or benchmarks for the MediaTek SOC's that are being used on budget smartphones these days. I have read many user comments which didn't inspire any confidence about these SOCs. Are they really that terrible for performance or are those comments out of prejudice about the mediatek cpu's being using in chinese phones?

Actually, its due to the lack of info about them which is resulting in this. They dont provide much info to the end user/devs. I had a phone based on a mediatek chip about a few years back, and had trouble figuring out much about it. It was a fake nokia model. Eventually, just threw it away.
from what i know and can see on you tube there's actually a lot of information about MTK soc based smartphones.
you just have to know what model to look for. i suggest u check out merimobiles and see what it is ur looking for and then checking google for it.

Petition to Qualcomm to continue providing Snapdragon S3 support

https://www.change.org/petitions/qu...ovide-compability-for-android-4-2-2-and-newer
Sign and share. Show some support to fellow users.
Coming from frustrated HTC One S S3 users who won't receive 4.2.2 update due to Qualcomm dropping support.
http://androidandme.com/2013/07/new...-forced-htc-to-pull-one-s-android-4-2-update/
Petition link will be sent to all major Qualcomm contact e-mail addresses and smartphone portals because no-one likes negative publicity. And please don't tell that petitions don't work - petition to Broadcom by Galaxy Y users worked.

Why don't the new DOOGEE phones have forums?

I bought an S59 Pro from Amazon (cheaper on AliExpress, especially over the holiday sale, but faster shipping) and there's absolutely no information about it online besides some minor comments on the DOOGEE community forum. There are a few about the S88 and S96 Pro on here, though. I have had a CAT S42 before and the S59 is way faster and has less bloatware. It's also half the price. The S59 is about $150 if you order from China, while the S42 is currently about $300 and was over $400 new.
So why not make new threads for them? They're all new phones and have an active following, although a probably mostly Chinese one.
As for my phone, it's a "rugged phone" and is supposed to be waterproof to 15 feet and shock/dust proof. It has a 10500 mAh battery so I can leave it on for about 2 days before having to charge it. It also has a quad camera. The rest of the specs are:
Operating system: Android 10.0 (Q)
Display size: 5.7 inches
Resolution: 1520x720
RAM: 4Gb
Storage (ROM): 128GB
Cameras: 16Mp
CPU: Mediatek Helio P35
Battery: 10050mAh
I've had no issues using it in the USA, either. I use Cricket right now but it has LTE bands for most carriers. I haven't had any dropped calls or anything yet.
I'm asking just in case there's a rom community that will come up. I would like to find a way to root it but haven't tried just flashing magisk or anything yet. I haven't even booted to the bootloader yet. I would like to see if Lineage will ever get ported. The current rom is fine and doesn't have much bloat. Most of what's installed are just extra tools, like a compass, sound meter, and protractor. There's also an app to clean up drive space and uninstall unwanted apps.
