I am looking for a zip file of the GT-P3113 v4.0.4 for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2. I downloaded GT2-JB Stock file that is indicating that it is an imcomplete file and needs to be a zip file set. So now I am at a loss because I am unsure of exactly what I am looking for here. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thank you.

Hi guys, rooting my galaxy S2, or trying to. Downloaded the GT-I9100_XXKI3_insecure file from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1101671, but when I extracted the file I get a XWKDD_insecure.tar file, in other words a different name from XXKI3. I don't want to mess up my phone in odin by using the incorrect kernel, so can somebody explain why I'm getting a XWKDD when I (seemingly) should be getting a XXKI3 .tar? is it the correct one despite the different name?
Thanks.

I think that the file you downloaded was not downloaded completely and ,
For this compare the md5sum for the file,
And just redownload it

Hi
I have bought a new Samsung Note 10.1 GT-N8000 from China market. I want to install other ROM so that I remove all Chinese stuff from it.
I have downloaded an original ROM image from genuine link of almost 1 GB. Now when I am trying to install through clockwork-mod it says Cant open the package .
The issue I think is because of two files in zip
1) KIES_HOME_N8000DDBLL2_N8000ODDBLL2_541027_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5
2)SS_DL.dll
Is this zip is OK to browse or should I unzip it on my pc first and extract some of the folder structure and then browse in galaxy.
I have seen that if I unzip the first md5 file . it has .img files.
I have searched forum for this clarification but didn't find it anywhere
Please help.
Tar and tar.md5 files are flashed with ODIN, not CWM.

Ok. I hope this is in the right spot. I have read thru the forums and can not seem to find a solution to my problem..
To start, I have a Verizion Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate. I am wanting to Root it in order to install Jellybean Rom.. Im using ODIN for this.
These are the two links I am currently using as guides..
theunlockr.com/2012/11/09/how-to-root-the-samsung-fascinate-odin-method
galaxyforums.net/forum/fascinate-rs-guides/1967-how-root-froyo-gingerbread-your-fascinate
Here are the files I have downloaded...
SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones
su-2.3.6.1.x
Superuser (ClockworkMod Recovery)
my problem is Odin is not reading ANY of the above files when im instructed to use the PDA button. the instruction tells me to choose the Clockwork (CWM3_Voodoo.tar .md5) But that does not exist-The files I have downloaded are in zip files. I've extracted these file to folders and Odin still does not read the files. I guess what I need are updated links to these files and maybe an updated guide to rooting my. Thanks!!
So heres the deal, every time I download a rom file it goes to internal sd/card0. As it would seem twrp doesn't recognize this folder and I can't figure out how to get the file where it needs to be in order to flash it. Details are as follows...
Galaxy Note 2 model sgh t889
ROOTED
stock rom
Perseus kernel
No other mods other than the apps such as Titanium backup and such.
I've also tried to download the file on my laptop and copy to phone but it won't allow it. I have the correct drivers and it starts to copy and then says it can't send apk file and on and on...
