Hey everybody!
I just cruised by Techbargains.com on the "cell phone" section and noticed there's a sale on some of the popular apps I know we all use.
Swype (which started selling at $4 instead of $1 for the non-beta version) is $2.
OfficeSuite Pro 7 is selling for $0.99, which is a steal because it usually goes for $14.99. I use this for all of my *.docx and *.pdfs.

For those looking to buy a gtab, buy.com has them for $382 with free shipping. Not a bad deal.
I have one for sale. $335 I'll handle shipping. it's still in perfect condition Ships w/ everything, running TNT-Lite.
EDIT: SOLD, Thanks richmcgillicuddy!
PM me.
just got one
I bought my gtab at office depot Sunday. I had a $100 reward card from them, so I only paid $311.34 total cost. should be here on Thursday. I'm pretty excited.Still deciding which is the best rom for me.
Also available at tigerdirect.com ($399) [in stock at this time].
Amazon, too
Amazon's got them listed as low as $369 with $7 shipping....but not sure about the person's rating. However, Amazon's also listing them new for $380.
When Office Depot put the VS GTab on sale at $299.00 I quickly jumped into the Android Tablet market and bought one. I love it, it has served me well. In fact, I still have it AND use it along with the several other tablets I now own...
When I walked into Office Depot yesterday, I was shocked to see the cost on the VS GTab has gone back up to $399.00! I was sure the cost of the GTab would decline given all the other tablets currently on the market. Glad to see the GTab holding its value.
Saw that too
But it was right next to the ASUS Transformer running 3.1 and selling for $419 ($399 at Staples). I don't think they were selling many GTabs. Too bad ViewSonic doesn't release an updated OS.
It's still $299 at their web site:

I just last week purchased one through Amazon for $259 free shipping, no tax.
I also have a Nook Color running CM7 which I love for portablity and the gorgeous screen.

Yes, you can get it through Woot's Amazon Storefront:

Or you can by one off one of the guys here & save some money in the process.
I think the price you saw in the store is probably more from an outdated shelf tag.
BTW, tigerdirect has had the Gtab for $269 for several months now.

I asked the foolio about that and he said that it had been on sale for several months but now that was the current price. Who knows... He probably thinks it runs on Windows too...

I found one on clist for $100...check it out, you may find one!
It's been posted in other forums, but since gTab was my first tablet and I know some of you are interested in the newest round of tablets, I'm reposting it here. Now's your chance to grab a HC tablet for $100 off:

That thread has some success stories of people getting the $100 of at Office Depot as well.
You need to use the coupon in store (not online) and in some cases people have found the in store proces to be marked up by about $100. When pressed, the stores say the price is a mistake and they will match the online price and then apply the coupon, so you actually get $100 off.
But you'll pay sales tax.
Every store in Northern Virginia is sold out of all Android tablets. Just saying.
For those that want the Transformer, but since it is sold out at Staples.com and not available in stores, Office Depot does price matching. However, I spoke with my closest Office Depot (Plymouth Meeting) and they said coupon matching is only available for the Acer Iconia and the Blackberry Playbook. They do not match coupons for items that Staples does not stock in it stores (ie: online only, like the Transformer). Boo!
I have heard roomers of people getting around this, but I guess it depends on who is working.
Got me a Dell Streak 7, Rooted and installed HC 3.2 on it... Most easiest device to Root/ Rom Ever...
im selling this piece of crap VS now... not that the device sucks (ITS GREAT) the lack of support is why
Got last Thursday an Acer Iconia A500, nice tablet. My old gtablet goes to my stepson.
Happy with my purchase ($299+tax)

Show this ad (or one of the others) to an Office Depot check out person and they will reluctantly give you the discount price for your HP TouchPad accessories. I received the Hp case that also acts as a stand for $19.99 instead of $49.99!
Sent from my Samsung Captivate running Cognition 5v2 and also now a HP TouchPad owner.
Thank you, I just noticed it was also on sale in Canada. I just ordered a case to pick up in store.
Figures. Out of stock for hundreds of miles.
Thanks for the link. Going to give it a try this weekend...
Office Depot was out of stock so I went to Wal-Mart and got them to do a price check. Scored two of the touchstone charging docks for 39.99 EA. It even is able to charge through the HP case that I scored for 20 bucks. Anyways, thanks for the heads up. And before I forget, if you are able to grab the keyboard, it is definatly worth it. I'm using it right now and it is well worth the half off price.
Samsung really ought to thank Barns & Nobles and Amazon. Lots of people bought these devices for the holiday, realized they're poor excuses for tablets, and returned them.
And now the more expensive galaxy tab, only 100 or so more saltier than the above craplets, is a viable choice. I wouldn't have paid 400 for one, but now with the cheaper price at best buy, it's only a hundred dollar jump from the nook tab. Especially, if you opt to pick it up from a store in a tax free state.
Has anyone found a better (lower than $350) price, or even the same price at somewhere other than Best Buy? They are sold out in literally a 50 mile radius around from where I live. I would hate to see the price go back to $400 before I get my grubby mitts on one.
Hey, it's a good sign, no? The more popular the device, the greater liklihood of great and diverse dev support, right?
Duely blundered from my thunderdolt
Amazon has them for 349.99. No tax in most states.. Very easy return if you have a problem with it.
Got my GT7+ brand new for $299 (before tax) at CompUSA. But that's because it was an unadvertised store special on Black Friday.
I'm sure they are back to the usual $399. Still, my belief is that everything is negotiable. Ask to talk with a manager and try to swing a deal, say a lower price on the tablet as long as you purchase a memory card with it or a case or some other accessory. Can't hurt to ask.
