Just purchased one of these from the Wal-Mart website and will be picking it up next week.
Wondering if anyone has any info on these as far as hardware and specs go. Have tried some extensive research and haven't found anything yet.

Aquired a cheap touchpad today & was wondering if there is any reason not to update the software on it from HP? I mean its not gonna stop me from changing the Os in future or anything like that is it?
Apologies for probably stupid question..... But I'm thick
Many thanks
Hutch
No, it's really just a bug fix update. changes none of the core functionality or access to the developer mode. Go ahead and script the update

Good to hear, i have just picked one up from Argos today, reserved it as soon as i heard prices were coming down and then extended my reservation until the end of the month.
Price came down to £115 for the 32gb today so i collected my order
Do any Devs have plans to get and root this tablet? I know its new but I liked the specs and the price so went ahead and ordered it. Not sure if Superoneclick will work with it.
I got this device already rooted. I think it will be same on your device. Anyway, I have some problems with Calendar Sync and Contacts App...
where did you ordered your tablet from?
thank you!
I ordered mine from Gadget Greats but come to find out they won't have it available to ship until 3/28. Customer service sucks as well.

A friend of mine brought it from china to me for a quite attractive price.
However, I wouldn't recommend this tablet, as Android 4.0.3 is still quite buggy.
But there is Android 2.3.4 on the official homepage of gemei ready for download, in case you're not satisfied with 4.0.3.
Try merimobiles or this site http://www.fastcardtech.com/goods-7...reen+Android+4015GHz++HDMI16GB+Tablet+PC.html. There is also a forum for this model @ slatedroid.com.

Hey there, I'm looking to buy a nexus s for my Mum cos she needs to upgrade from her old brick, but I'm having trouble sourcing one.
I've been researching for a while to find something that has around a 1ghz core, something with more internal memory than my old desire and which is under the $300 mark and I've been able to find a few sources for ones on US networks, but I'm looking for an unlocked model for use in Aus.
Any ideas? Or alternatively, can anyone suggest a similar, more available phone?
Thanks in advance!
I just purchased this from Verizon, and after searching the interwebs for a few hours, I havnt found that anyone has a root for this particular model. Anyone have any luck or info on this model yet??
I spent several hours tonight trying to find an answer to this question myself. It does not look like anyone has rooted the LTE Tab 2 yet, but I hope it happens soon. I've read that the 7" and 10" models have essentially the same hardware so I would think rooting the 10" should be possible since they have already rooted the 7" version. I've been using rooted phones for so long I think it's going to be frustrating not having a CM based ROM on the tablet. I definitely hope someone is working on this.

I wouldnt expect something until after the new year as these just came out
Sprint gave me the SPH-500 which is the same as the verizon unit. Trust me im dying here, honestly could care less about a custom rom but root is almost a necessity these days
The method that originally got the 7" vzw tab 2 was the debugfs exploit. This exploit no longer works on the newer base. Try searching and investigating other root methods for other devices, one of them may work. Good luck.
Hi guys,
Anyone knows when phones will be shipped for those who pre-ordered in the website? Also - would it be a different date for different colors?
Thanks,
there was no indication during the order process of a date. rumors are though AT&T will have them around Nov. 6th. so that's the best guess.
For the Desire EYE, HTC shipped on the day they were available in store...so we might get ours a few days later. For $120 less though...
Thanks! Anyone knows what the package will include? Didn't find any information about it...

Watched several unboxing videos for what appeared to be the retail version of the HTC One a9, the box included the phone, a standard charger (not fast charge compatible), a micro-usb cable, a sim ejection tool, a pair of HTC ear buds and documentation, that's about it!
