Hello, somebody know about running CyanogenMOD(or other light mod) on chinesse smartphones based on MediaTek chips MTK6516(prefered variant), MTK6513 or MTK6573?

I am interested in this too. My stock Mediatek 65xx ROM does NOT support Bluetooth well, and the audio volume is soft. I am looking for a custom ROM (such as CM) for the device.
UPDATE (23 April 2012) - My phone is a Hero H4300 (Mediatek chip MT6573). The HD7 ROM by Bruno Martins does NOT work on it. The stock ROM found on MobileUncle Forums (Chinese language) is defective also. But there is a stock ROM somewhere on the internet and that will restore the phone PLUS improve on the Bluetooth A2DP/RDP/Volume etc. So far, even the 3G-Wifi changeover works OK. I am hoping we could have a CyanogenMod ROM for this phone because it is quite speedy but lacking in internal storage space!

STAR N9500 CWM recovery
Hi i have made basic cwm recovery for this device as i have one.
i have installed and tested with firmware N9500.20130419_e2006_v89_jbaol1 om my N9500 and works perfect and have done nandroid backup etc.
I flashed it by swapping cwm with stock recovery in firmware loaded spflashtool and unticked all except recovery,

I used whatever methods they used to install driver to detect my phone while its off
But unfortunately it just cannot detect
I am using Windows 8 x64
I take out the battery methods, install without driver enforecement
Still no avail

you can try to install drivers manually.go here and download and install this..it will install android adb driver etc.
when asked select SAMSUNG driver.

I dont think so but check first the kernel/baseband of your device see if it a match for firmware here.But be very careful
I dont think screens are the same but all other specs seem to be about the same.

I have been looking everywhere for a rom for our device that has samsung ui.I thought i found one it was a rom for HDC n9500,I installed on my device and worked perfect..problem was it was standard stock as well,but now i know that the firmware for HDC works fine on our device.I will keep looking and might make one myself if i can get hold of the stuff i need.

Hello again i have put firmware for HDC S4 i9500 on my star n9500 and is perfect so i can now say YES

Boas,
Segui todos os passos, mas em relação à rede, não funciona muito bem. A ROM deteta como se tivesse dois card sim, eu estou a usar o meu no sim 1. E nas definições se desativar o Sim 2, o Sim 1 automaticamente deixa de funcionar e não da para fazer chamadas nem mandar mensagens.
Quando coloco em modo voo, e desativo depois o modo voo, a ROM não deteta nenhum Sim, tem de se reiniciar o telemóvel.
E aparece os dois ícones como se tivesse duas redes, uma a detectar rede e outro icon com um "x".
E outra coisa, em relação ao volume, quando o coloco no mínimo para silenciar, ele silencia mas não aparece aquele icon que está sem som.

But, if you want install WSM tools, be careful... because "FIX: WSM_XPOSED_5.9.25FIX.zip" causes a bootloop. Do not install this fix.

But you can try with my 6.10.27 fixes. Works if 6.11.7 have no changes on boot.img... I think.
Download ROM 6.11.7 for Vega in the same link list Roms.

Yes, it's true, the minimum volume is very high.
You can change this in Engineer Mode MTK.
To get this options install Mobileuncle Tools, fom google play.. or use/dial this code: *#*#3646633#*#*

Thanks. I already installed the latest version its working Fine But there is problem that 3g is working only on sim 1 and also camera is 8mp but my device camera is 13 QMobile Noir i12. Thank you for your Amazing work

I am already using v6.10.27 with no bugs only 3g not working on 2nd sim . Is your camera is working at 13mp or 8mp?

Yes, you can.
Not sure if break anything, but I tested and don't find any problem.
I suggest Wipe Cache in recovery.

Hello guys, I have an Blackview P2 (with MT6750T Chipset) that has as newest update an Android 7.0, but Blackview never released the sources, does that mean it is impossible to see any custom Roms for it ever like Android 7.1.2 or 8.1.0? Or is it somehow possible to port such Roms from other phones with the same Chipset?
No one having an idea at least?

All phones that use the mtk chipsets are a big and difficult issue ...
MTK does not release the sources of their chipsets , and neither do the OEM - so making an mtk chipset custom ROM is working ""in the dark" , in other words a lot of work . It can be done and has been done and is still happening but the amount of work is just too much. The modersa have to do a lot of guess work.
So not many modders will work on mtk chipset phones unless they have a special interest in the particular phone ...,

Seems like it, your right. I switched to an Redmi Note 5 with an Snapdragon Processor anyway, cause my Blackview P2 died on water sadly. Was an really good phone for an MTK, except the lavk of updates and custom roms. R.I.P. Blackview P2
