Hi all!
I tried to ask this on the Evervolv 4.0.0p1 thread, but, having only just registered for these forums, I don't have permission. In any case, first of all: big thanks to flintman for the KitKat ROM!
Now, my problem: When you long click on the desktop, you get a small menu with options for Wallpapers, Widgets, and Settings. Settings does not work for me: it just makes a clicking sound, then... does nothing else.
Has anyone else experienced the same? Is this a known issue? Is there a known solution?
Thanks!
Simon

Well, I did searching, but haven't found anything related to this little thingy. Maybe I was putting wrong keywords, but I didn't find any usefull and similar. And as you know I'm doing many reasarches before posting any topic. But I have discovered little thing in WM UI. And its related to:
Programs Scrolling speed.
Im running stock ROM - WM.6.0.
As you know, if you have many apps shortcuts in Start Menu/Programs, the speed is tragic. Its tragic for me, when i running programs from Start/Programs, but:
When I just ran the programs from shortcut in HTC Home Apps it run smoothly as hell. Can anyone tell me why thats going like this? What's the problem with shortcut in Start menu? And what's the differnce?
Can anyone check this out?
And I'm really sorry if i posted it and its already discovered
Cheers,
Chris
EH stupid fascinated Chris. I think this one is to delete Anyway sorry fot that.
Anyway I have done some experiments and my observation are:
If look closer at this, the "scrolling bars" are different. I mean this one from programs folder running from HTC Home gives more thick bar than this from menu start. And its the same one, which is actualy in Settings. And settings running smooth too for me too.
Noticed that programs folder from HTC Home take a bit more time to run. Whats going on with that. Can anyone explain this?
This has been covered in numerous threads http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=347268 and also in drivers threads
Hi all.
I'm new to Android (moving over from WinMo) and I have a couple of questions;
Does anyone know if there are any reliable apps that can change wallpapers at regular intervals or according to location?
It would be great if the app could randomly select wallpapers too.
Secondly, I know that Android (on the HTC Desire/Bravo at least) allows for the creation of multiple panels, is it possible to have the phone switch to a particular panel at a particular time or location i.e. have the phone switch to a work panel at 0900 and then home again at 1800?
Thanks in advance

Hi.
I found WallSwitch (its in the Market place. This allows random and timed wallpaper switched. It's at version 2.0.2 at the moment.
Neat little heap; stable, doesn't fall over in a heap if the images are moved.
Hope this helps.

It's a known bug. Just press your Home hardkey and it should reappear.

Hello all im new to making custom ROM's. I have nearly finished my G1 (HTC Dream) project and have hit a small bump. I would like to know which xml in which apk holds the default settings information, such as USB debugging enabled/disabled and other settings, when the ROM is installed for the first time.
Also I have ADWLauncher installed by default and was wondering, when I press the menu button I get a mini menu at the bottom of the screen, one of those options is 'Search' but i have removed this app from my default installed apps and thus it does not work, where is the xml for this aswell please.
Thankyou very much.
I really need help with this been running around google and found some people with the same question and thay also got no answer, Some one please answer thanx
Hello everybody,
I just updated my Velvet to android 12.
I'm happy and it seems faster than before, but now i see a floating button that is really annoying and i'd like to get rid of it.
I checked for other threads but i didn't find any solution that works for me.
I checked in accessibility settings but no fix.
Do you know what else can i check?
Have a nice day
Giacomo
Hi Giacomo,
I have a lg velvet 5g that's running version 12 of android, I haven't seen the 'floating button' that you are referring to, but I found this article on a different website:
https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidQuestions/comments/qffjzo
see if this helps. Good Luck & Stay Safe

Hi David, thanks for your answer.
I saw that page but unfortunately it didn't fix my problem.
Do you have any special feature enabled? for example blue light filter, larger font or similar?i really don't understand how to fix it .
I have just blue light filter and larger font , no other accessibility features.

There has to be some way to resolve your issue, so far I haven't seen anyone discussing this same issue, now I'm really wondering what's going on with your phone. There's another option that you might want to check out, I've used it myself and have been satisfied with it: https://twitter.com/LGUSSupport . I don't know if you ever use twitter.com or not, but if so & decide to follow the group that I've included in this reply, I feel sure that one of their agents would be able to assist you. Also, here's yet another option you could try: https://www.reddit.com/r/LGVelvet/ . Good Luck
Thank you very much David, i'll check everything and i'll let you know.
Hi David, yesterday I wrote to LG support by Twitter.i'll write here every update so I could help if other users have the same problem as me
I figured out how to remove the button: i disabled "android accessibility suite" and it finally disappeared. Thanks
