[FIX] [E] Bootloop after unlocking bootloader - Sony Xperia Miro, Tipo (Dual), J, E

Hello. If you have one of the newer Xperia E's, your phone might start freezing at the boot screen and rebooting. Here is a fix for that.
1. Get the following:
Flashtool by androxyde
Stock ROM for your phone (in this case, Xperia E)
Fastboot
Windows 7 or below (if you have Windows 8 or 8.1, THE GUIDE WILL NOT WORK. Get a 7 PC from your friend or something)
2. Unlock the bootloader using this tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2335741 Your phone will go into bootloop.
3. Take out the battery (this is the hard part) and put it back in.
4. Hold the Volume Down (Vol-) button on your phone and plug it into your PC.
5. Launch Flashtool, click the button called “BLU”. Wait for a dialog box to load, and when it does, click “Relock bootloader”.
6. Do step 5 again, but this time click “Unlock”.
7. Click the lightning icon, select “Flashmode”, then flash your stock ROM.
And, somehow, your Xperia E will boot back to normal, the only difference being that your bootloader is now unlocked! (You did backup the DRM keys, right?)
Hit Thanks if helped.

It will be useful for new guys.

This is what the log says:
Code:

Your phone cannot be bootloader unlocked officially... your best hope is to find an FTF for your phone and flash it.

Thanks ...

There is no guarantee you won't get bootloops or bricks, but if you do, you can usually flash an FTF file from Flashtool to restore it.

Do you have a download link for Flashtool?

Thank You
that saved a beginner's ass

Edit: I sorted out the problem.
I tried this method of getting out of bootloop, but the flashtool is stuck at following stage.

Worked Smoothly...!
Thanks for tutorial.. Just in case for all other Newbies who are venturing into Custom ROM installation and end my in this stage..
These are the latest specifications with which the tutrorial works.
This tutorial is still valid in 2020!
Works on windows 10, Used flashtool64.exe
any good charger cable(preferebly orignal cable) suits better for flashing
It worked on my Xperia E3 d2202 . To switch off the creen stuck on SONY logo, you can remove the back cover and Look n press on a small hole near the SIM card slot. No need to remove the Battery!
Cheers!

A couple options:
Hello fonetalker101,
I'm not a pro in these things and my device isn't the Tipo, but the Xperia E. I have a friend who owns a Tipo, and he got a problem similar to this one, so I'm trying to help you out
Allright, first of all, I think a SIN error means that Flashtool cannot flash the System files, which are the most important thing in a stock ftf(after the Kernel!), but please correct me if I'm wrong!
You have a couple of options you can try:
1. See this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2001567 and scroll all the way down to the end of the first post, it says: What to do if you get sin header verification error? That is exactly what you're facing! Follow the instructions.
2. Find a relock-bootloader file for the tipo and flash it with Flashtool( if you can't find anything, or if you don't know what the heck I'm talking about, just ask me for it, and I will try to help you!) If it works try to flash the stock .ftf again. If that doesn't help try to update your system with Sony Update Service, google it, you can find it on the official Sony website!)
3. Repair with Sony PC Companion 2.1 and flash the .ftf file again!
But I think that option 1 will work for you, because I faced the same problem when I had my friends Tipo to root it.
P.S. Use Google! When I searched for: sony tipo st21i ftf, my second result was the link in step 1... But nevermind, I'm happy to help people, so don't bother
Download sony update service(Google it) and update your phone, this will surely work. Hope I helped u

You could try using Sony PC Comapnion, it takes a bit long but for me, it fixed my tipo 3 times :good:

[Q] Sony Miro issue - PLEASE HELP !

Hi all,
I recently bricked (i think) my Sony Miro.
I have CWM based Recovery V6.0.2.8 installed. I was running the CM10...but there was something wrong, everytime i finish a call, the phone would reboot.
SO i decided to flash it back to the stock Sony Rom 11.0.a.5.8 ...i placed the zip file on the root of the sd card, rebooted the phone into the CWM recovery app and then wiped the factory settings / dalvik cache...and installed the stock rom. it looked like the flashing was successfull ( it said so on the screen)...then i rebooted the phone
It first shows the FREE XPERIA logo...then shows the stock battery icon and then just stays there......if i press the power button the battery icon dissappears ...if i press it again, it comes back on again....it does not move forward from here.
Any help is appreciated ! pleaese help !!!
Cheers guys !

Try this process multiple times, if your device is detected through Flashtool then it could be repaired through Flashtool.
Generally this Error is shown when either the device is not connected properly in Flash mode or the .ftf u are flashing is of another device. So take care of both the issues.

What i am doing wrong ?

Hello,
I searched the forum for hours and hours, some of the things I was able to understand, but a lot I didn't.. Anyway, I have a problem now .. I tried to unlock the bootloader, I found the unlock code, did what had to be done in this tutorial - http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/general/tutorial-bootloader-unlocking-relocking-t2332900 - but now when i turn on the phone - next happens: Sony logo pass, xperia logo pass and then loading waves are there forever and that's it.. can't boot .. ( am i wrong about boot? new about this so i am not sure if that is correct ).
Here is log when i tried to unlock bootloader:
Code:
17/022/2015 12:22:06 - INFO - Unlocking phone using key ********
17/022/2015 12:22:07 - INFO - ...
17/022/2015 12:22:07 - INFO - OKAY [ 0.447s]

17/022/2015 12:22:07 - INFO - Device disconnected
So what i need to do now ? Flash it? ( i flashed once yesterday cuz i had the same problem with waves, also when rooted phone when i wanted to install fonts on the phone.. )
So, can i use some other software to flash it? By the default it's 4.2.2, can i download some other software like kitkat or lollipop ?
There are many things that i can't still understand but i am learning and sorry if i did mistake somewhere ( English is not my first language so i am trying to do best )
