Hi, i have a problem in my razr hd maxx, anyone has seen this already?I am getting a green pixel, fix max brightness, shows whenever the screen in on, on boot screen, everywhere, same color, same brightness. Should i consider it as a dead pixel or is it possible to fix it?Thanks!
I attached a cropped screenshot to see, with the use of my camera.
They are know as hot pixels. Due to the nature of these screens I don't think there is really anything you can do.

Hi,
I just bought new Xoom 2 and I have 1 dead pixel. Is it enough to put the tablet on warranty repair?
You have to check with your warranty papers.
From what I know, you need a percentage of pixels to be dead in order to issue a refund/replace.
Something like 7-8% .
Just like monitors & tv sets.
That would be entirely too high of a percentage. Usually it's like 3 or more dead pixels, or 2 connected. Are you sure they are dead though? If they are just stuck (dead pixels are black, stuck pixels stay red, green, etc), then you should be able to just find a flash .GIF file or even an app that flashes all the colors to get it fixed.
This must be a stuck pixel, is only visible when screen is black or very dark. Am I able to repair it just flashing this place with gif image?
edit: now I have 6 stuck pixels, the rest are smaller, I probably didnt see them :[
Return it to where you purchased it or send it in, that's unacceptable. While you're at it...just take back the Xoom 2 and get a Xoom.
When set to auto does anyone have the screen lighten up then darken as you browse through a site?
It is really noticeable when I am on Google+(white background). I don't remember having this happen on my G2. Anyways I now don't use auto.
Just wondering if its normal.

It might be that while holding your phone you cover the light sensor and by that simulate dark surroundings?
I would guess that you have it near some surface. So when it shows white background, the light reflects from surface and the sensor thinks its "bright" outside, so turns on the brightness. As you surf and see some picture or change page (or w/e what doesnt have so much white) the sensor detencs that its not that bright anymore and turns down brightness...
Atleast that would be my guess. Screen does make some light and sensor can get affected by it (its above screen, u can see it true glass).
I noticed this too while playing on the demo at a TMobile store. It was only when I went to the HTC Play or movies or whatever it's called. Some of the movies would darken the screen when they started playing. Kind of odd. I wasn't moving around (changing light on the phone). Just standing there at the counter playing with it.

I believe I have seen this as well. Brief, full screen, yellow flicker/tint.
Happened to me during, or immediately after, the unlock/flash/root process, and haven't seen it since. Happened with a new notification came in, seemed to almost revolve around the notification bar. Is this consistent with what you saw?
This is common amongst a lot of light sensors. Happened to me on my Vibrant and when I had a iphone.

Hello!
Please help me to fix two (maybe there are more, I haven't noticed yet; but I hope there aren't any more) stuck pixels on my Cynus T1's IPS display. One pixel is somewhere at the top of the screen and is blue when the screen is black and... is dark when the screen is blue. Another one is always white and located somewhere on the right side.
I tried to fix these pixels by running JScreenFix with maximal brightness. Overall this app has worked for... errr.. 3 hours with regular pauses when I wanted to know whether these pixels have been already fixed.
So JScreenFix did'nt help. Maybe run it for more than 3 hours? BTW can other pixels get stuck because of this app running and display working for a long time.
Another idea I have read in one forum is to... freeze the phone in a refrigerator (previously putting out acc, cards and sim). It is claimed by some people that this method will help to free stuck pixels.
To say more, currently my phone is in a refrigerator. I hope this won't at least damage more pixels... Or should I run and get it out of there??
So, what can you suggest?? I repeat: screen is IPS type....
My Moto G LTE has a stuck pixel. It appears white on background colors such as red/orange/yellow/white and disappears on background colors such as green/blue and black. Does this mean its broken or stuck? Or is it a software issue?
Also is this common or should I look to replace my phone? I have it for about 3 weeks now.

This is a dead sub-pixel(s), prolly a blue one. Basically it's not a big deal and they may even refuse to change it under warranty. If it doesn't annoys you too much, then just keep using the phone as normal and after a while you won't even notice it anymore.
Of course, using your warranty should be your first resort.
Hi!
My screen behave strange from a few days:
- Sometimes the screen slightly flashes, I can see it especially when it's in charge and it has brightness low or very high
- The screen is slightly yellowish. I tried setting it with the nvidia tool to setup colours, but even setting temperature at maximum screen remains yellowish
- I'm experiencing burn-in which is very rare for a ips screen
- Gradient background show bands of different colour gradation.
I tried a wipe and nothing change, so I think I have to send it back. I have this device from 2 months and I never had this issues. I would like to know if someone other had these issues and what do you think it's better do.
Wrong thread, sorry.

I didn't changed anything. Suddenly I had those weird issues.
Now I returned back and I have a new one. There are still banding problems but now it's working all correctly.
Very strange how screen panel works so much different on different shield tablet k1
Thanks anyway
