[Q] How to get stock browser installed in L? - Sony Xperia L

As we know the Xperia L removed the stock browser and replaced it with Chrome browser
However I like the stock browser more and I tried to place Xperia V's stock browser into my L's system/app but it is not working
so is there any way to get the stock browser back?

It's the same for me. I prefer stock browser. Chrome seems to lag and I think it is not well optimized on XL

Sorry, I prefer stock browser of ICS.

Chrome and stock browser is the same. They both use WebKit rendering engine. So using chrome is as good as using stock browser

I don't think... For example on my SK17i, ICS stock browser was smooth and fast, very pleasant to use. But Chrome seems to lag, it is not as smooth. I really prefer stock ICS browser.

try to changed your title..
They are right; Chrome browser is the stock browser..
It confuses a lot of readers..
Generally, Chrome browser was use on JB version..i'm sure not only on Sony Xperia, but to other phone as well..(i remember Nexus4 of my brother-in-law having Chrome as his stock browser)..
Try to install other browser.. Opera Mobile/Mini works fast on my XL.. Though it has limitations..It is okay for me..

Why "Settings app" scrolling lags alot on stock rom ?

Hi,
Why "Settings app" lags alot on stock rom ?
I've tried force GPU rendering enabled, but still lags
I had all kinds of lag when I first got my tab, so much so that I planned to return it. However, once I upgraded to ICS, EVERYTHING improved. I've flashed a couple of ROMs since, and it's been nothing but smooth sailing.

It lags a lot on my Galaxy Tab 2 P3113 when in portrait mode. It is smooth as butter in landscape mode, which is weird. Same thing with the launcher, really smooth in landscape with the Phase Beam live wallpaper, but really laggy in portrait.

browser2ram for chrome?

This will probably be a little noobish... but the stock browser and chrome look alot alike. Is there a way to get browser2ram to work for chrome? During at times is painful. It should i just get a class 10 card and do the ext sd mod?

I believe that in the most recent version of CleanROM Inheritance, the data2SD mod has actually been made to work with Chrome as well.
EDIT: forgot to mention that I am not theone to comment on your second question, since I have never used the data2SD mod myself and therefore am not a good judge of whatever the improvement might be...
The latest browser 2 ram works with chrome and I have updates it in latest CleanROM Inheritance
can it be used for chrome on other roms to? im currently trying 4.2.1

Well, the sbdags' reply inplies that it should, as I gather from it it works on Chrome by default (so just by installing the mod itself) and that he "merely" incorporated it in his excellent ROM.
I know it works on stock based ROMs. Just need to install it and try. You need to be rooted of course.

is there any way to test, other than by guessing that it may or may not be improved after installing? i will give it a go when my infinity has some battery.

Nope, browsing and scrolling through web sites and use your eyes as the judge!! ) There are a few test sites that you could use, but visual is the best way!
It works great. Just try you can easily revert it.

You can always go into SuperSU and check the logs to see if Browser2RAM requested root access or not... If it's working, you should see it requesting root access in the SuperSU logs.

Does browser2ram work with Chrome Beta as well. Seeing as Chrome beta is based on Chrome 25 (vs. 18 for the stable Android Chrome) is there a way to get browser2ram to work with this as well. Thanks

Is that version different to the one I included in CROMI?

my galaxy s1 browser smoother than tf300t..why?

My galaxy s1 phandroid stock browser is more smoother than stock jb browser on tf300t.. I understand one is custom ROM and one is Asus ROM...but given hw difference...I just find it to be confusing.
Any idea why may that be?
The transformer line of tablets have slow I/O issues. Browsing on stock ROM is quite bad. It might be worth installing a custom ROM

Your TF300T browser can be faster, but You must install browser2ram. Your TF300T must be rooted.

+1 on browser2ram. It only works with the stock browser, not any aftermarket browsers, including Chrome. This, along with setting my user agent to 'ipad' makes the stock browser much more usable.

no it cant be done (or rather, it wont be done because of all the time and effort needed to backport everything on the nexus 5).
and im suprised flash still even works in dolphin. though id bet money that flash will stop working with no workarounds in the next major android update.
SO i say get used to it now, because it wont be here forever
