Hello guys,
I have this HTC one S s4 (after checking max gpu with 1512mhz)
I am running Pacman build 22.2.0 with hboot 1.14.
Now I'm just wondering what should I use/do to acquire the s-off? Should I use the face palm or moonshine?
Also since it's rooted and running custom rom does it mean I have the super Cid already?
My apologies for so much questions, as I rooted and custom Rom it way back and now I don't remember what to do.
Thanks for the help.

Rooting or scid is not required for custom roms. You have to check it yourself.
S-off? Look in OP. Decide for yourself wich is best, both work. Check requirements.

hey there,
so ther're many users with s3 phones and nobody made unbrand his device trough super CID or any other CID change? All s3 users, me including are f.... up, they cannot flash fresh firmware or radios without unbranding their devices.
So is there anybod out there, who have a clue or is working on it?
Use the thread in the development section..

If you had tried it, you wouldn't come up with that advice. Because, the only available method is demonstrably not working on s3 devices.
So the s3 users are still looking for a solution.
Hey guys,
Im a fob at android developing so apologies in advance for noob questions
If any one of you could help me on this issue I am having that would be great :fingers-crossed:
I have a HTC EVO 3D (Rogers-gsm) it is rooted but not s-off. Before I do s-off it I was wondering if I accepted the hboot offered by the JPBear tool (I shall use this to s-off), would it make it more compatible with Cyanogenmod 10.1? This is because I am running the bootloader 1.53.0007 ICS and the op of this thread: (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2108195) says specifically to not use ICS.
All links for downloads for downgrading my hboot are broken. But would I even need to downgrade to GB?
Or would it only minimally hamper the functionality of this rom?
Thanks a ton guys.

DEAR Brethren's,
I have come to you in a time of need.
I poses the mighty sensation xe, with an unlocked bootloader throught HTC Dev and it is S-ON.
I am currently running CM11. I was wondering in order to S-OFF the phone can I do it on the custom ROM ?
Or do I need to be stock.
PS. God Save the Queen.

Hi, Today I got my HTC one mini. I want to flash InsertCoin, but as I heard, it needs Hboot 2.22. I've got 2.21.
I found this Thread:
[FIRMWARE][AT&T 3.10] 2.22 Firmware ( New Partition Layout )
But the Title says AT&T. I'm running Android 4.2.2 which is branded by Vodafone(germany).
Can I still flash it without breaking my Device?
Sorry, I'm new to Hboot updating. Never done this before.
Thanks for your Help

Hi Guys I tried to install lollipop (cm-12.1-20150922-NIGHTLY-ville) on my HTC One S. I installed recovery-clockwork-6.0.4.8-ville and everything work just fine. But no matter how many times I try the same thing comes out. It says there is an error with bootloader version. It seem like this custom ROM is supported just for 2+ bootloader versions, mine is 1.4. Is there a workaround, or am I doing something wrong? I have no OS on my phone just fastboot access.
My HTC is also unlocked and rooted. And I am on ubuntu.
I am new here, really need help
Many thank you, I appreciate your assistance.

1.5 GHz = S4 (ville)
1.7 GHz = S3 (villec2)
about the security, just enter bootloader and you will see some text * blah blah S-ON or S-OFF * you can't miss it
