I am sorry, but you need to have Bootloader unlocked, to prevent the phone from rebooting. You see, the bootloader blocks read/Write access to /system partition. So when the app you use triggers a change in /system the bootloader stops it, resulting in a crash. So hence with boot unlock, you do not have any way to run an app requiring explicit changes to /system.

Dosen't have to be unlocked bootloader to root. I tested framaroot myself. Superuser installs without a problem. There's some problem rooting with supersu.

Yes for that he need to unlock bootloader. But to make root work without bootloader unlock, he could unroot using framaroot and then again root with superuser and supersu!
But ,, How I was modifing the system without having unlocked bootloader on my old phone , Sony ericsson live with walkman ?

Good question, but you see Sony has changed so many things. All due to inclusion of drm stuff.

THREAD
I wont advice you to use the tool again.. try unrooting using this
One Click Root.
Then root it again using this guide.
HERE
I dont know whether you can root on your current ROM. If your ROM is not supported..
UNROOT your device.. wipe everything.. flash LG official ROMs ( 2.2.2 if you are on
old baseband or 2.3.3 if you are on new baseband ) then root it again using the guide ^.
Better use THIS.. if you are rooting GB.
Thx a lot but I fixed it I just entered adb commands agin and rebooted

I am just about to download the world firmware(i guess it makes no diff, just languages)and want to ask, how do I flash it to the tipo?what should i do after (if it flashes)?
Dont worry... the firmware will work just fine... tested it myself. Just use flashtool(google it out) to flash the ftf of your ftf to the phone. Root it using binary method and follow the procedure descrobed in other thread to get root on the latest firmware. Tried ot amd now i am rooted with ocz version of 11. 0. a. 4. 22

Does downgrading with flashtool work with locked bootloader? Please can you confirm that? What does "ocz version mean"?

Yes it does, you only need an unlocked bootloader if the ROM you're gonna use is using a different kernel than your stock firmware.
Ocz is jst the version of latest firmware available here...

Can anyone tell me if I should untick wipe data and wipe cache or keep them on for flashing?
Do not uncheck them.let them get deleted else your phone will keep on rebooting after the flashing is complete
Sent from my ST21i using xda premium
Forgot to mention one important thing.you have to check wipe data and wipe cache options obly while downgrading to older firmware.after pushng in the root files just upgrade tocthe latest firmware and make sure not to check wipe data this time.

Thanks, can you link the guide on which files to insert, and how should I update to latest fw?
And one more thing: MSC or MTP mode while flashing?
Vibrator seems to stopped working, vibrate on touch doesn't work anymore, and it doesn't even vibrate in service menu on vibrator.
Also when I lock my screen I can't come out of it again, help?
EDIT:It seems the phone stopped working with vibrate/lock as soon as i put the perm root files on it from the miro thread, which apparently works for every phone.I will stay at .16 as I don't need an sms counter. Thanks for your trouble people.
i had the same problem, i downgraded the firmware, root it, than flash it with the latest firmware and the root dont work now it says there is no su binary installed and supersu cannot install it ,this is a problem?? what should i do

same issue as cipjanin. i downgraded to 11.0.A.0.16 (checked wipe cache and data) and rooted perfectly. reflashed to 11.0.A.4.22 and unchecked "wipe data" and "wipe cache" but root is lost.
balboarocky, did you do the exact same steps as we did?
while downgrading try uncheck wipe and cache and after root it, upgrade via SUS not fabric restore+ upgrade, just upgrade (keep user data)..

Hi...
A new update is now available for Sony Xperia E C1505 device. The new software update is namely version 11.3.A.2.13.
Based on Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean
This Root methode only for Unlocked Bootloader Device
* Tick on Unknown source (Go to setting-security)
* Tick on USB Debugging (Setting-dev options)
* Download flashtool (http://www.flashtool.net/download.html)
* Download kernel+CWM for 11.3.A.0.47 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2276943)
* Download SuperSU (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053)
or you can download superuser (http://androidsu.com/superuser/) (but i prefer superSU)
* Extract kernel.sin (from 11.3.A.2.13) then make it to ftf file with flashtool
if you dont have any ftf you can download over here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2409632) or download this kernel ftf (https://mega.co.nz/#!lQ4wWLjI)
Usage instructions
Flash kernel A.0.47 +cwm boot to fastboot with script :
Code:
fastboot flash boot <filename>.elf
or direct via flashtool (fastboot mode-select kernel to flash-reboot device into system)
Reboot and press Vol Up (you will enter CWM Recovery)
Flash zip SuperSU
Format cache and Wipe Dalvik then reboot
Turn off then boot to fastboot and flash again new kernel A.2.13
Reboot and Enjoy so you can throw every bloatware apk
Note :
if you come from another way rooted this new firmware, i suggestion you to flash again your firmware first then follow my instructions
No More Lag after root tested by me
Credit :
Thanks to androxyde n friends for Flashtool
Thanks to jjm34 for kernel A.0.47 +cwm
Thanks to Chainfire for SuperSU
Thanks to UltraGamerHD for ftf
Thanks to all xda member

Is up to you buddy
But I suggest you to upgrde new firmware cz sony has improved more features on xperia e
If you unlocked bootloader so dont use PCC or SUS to upgrade your firmware, you must be on locked bootloader then upgrade. Via PCC/SUS
Or stay unlocked then upgrade via flashtool
Enjoy
it shows..the devive must be rooted first...and ...please check the log level

I rooted my phone and installed jellyBAM rom, I later tried to install supersu from the app store and completely lost root access. Now i tried flashing supersu but i still cannot get root again. I removed supersu and tried flashing superuser but im still missing root. Is their any-way that I can regain my root access with your app because I would prefer to not have to do a factory reset. I know that jellyBAM has a built in superuser that's build into the settings.apk, Im assuming that this is the problem.

It is in fact a 4.3 rom, do you have any ideas on where the setting may be?
It originally worked with its built in superuser. That superuser has practically no settings.
It just started working randomly.... I did not change anything so i do not understand it so thanks anyways, i guess we will never know what made it misbehave...
In setting -> developer option ->root access ->checked (Apps+Adb) then try again..
I hope this will help..

Greetings XDA
I have a rooted samsung galaxy s6 edge(At&t) version lollipop 5.1.1 that i rooted with Odin.
I have no custom recovery installed and my problem is that supersu does not work, it says that su binary need to be updated.
After searching google i could not find a recovery.img for my specific model number SM-G925A.
I need help if there is a way i can install a custom recovery or how to update su binary so i can grant root access to apps.
By the way i am a newbie in the rooting world.. so simple answers will be appreciated!
Regards
You see a pop-up window with a warning and 2 buttons at the bottom:
1. Normal
2. Using TWRP.
Right?

Actually i tried with kingroot.net even though i had no clue if it is compatible with my device or not and i just tried it and the results were positive , my device was rooted and i could use root access with apps but now a different problem appeared i lose root access on reboot or crash , it turns out that this is cause my bootloader is not unlocked or something like that , i dont really know if it is or not and i dont have TWRP installed i have stock recovery from android..

I meant that you can try to place su binary in appropriate place manually and give permissions. See this tutorial for manual install section https://github.com/koush/Superuser/issues/216#issuecomment-38354585
If this not helped you need to reroot your device. Unfortunately, I do not know the other options, it is a pity that you have no custom recovery.
