Hey guys, another guide added, just thought you wanted to know about this Some time ago Cydia Substrate was released, it's kinda like Xposed. After that, Winterboard was released, an extension used to theme iOS, and now both of them work on our Razr i. This works on odexed and deodexed, stock or custom. Let's go:
Requisites
1-Root
2-Bootloader unlocked
3-Recovery
Download and install Cydia Substrate and WinterBoard.
Open Cydia, it will ask you to install some files to begin, just click yes. Then it'll do a soft reboot. After that, open WinterBoard, choose the theme you downloaded previously (lots, if not all CM themes work) and then click on "Restart Zygote" on top of the screen.
Notes:
Code:
For ICS, use CM9 themes. For JB, use CM10/10.1 themes
Icon packs do not work, use the ones according to launcher
No CM7 themes
If you get bricked, long press Vol+ keyboard until it boots (disables Cydia). Then reboot to bootloader and wipe cache & dalvik. If you did this, try another theme, but you'll have to install Cydia files again.
Theming is not 100%
Lockscreens and icons are NOT themed
Enjoy!

Hello such, only to suggest, you put your own screenshots, to know how you have been to you the phone, since I have posted these screenshots in grupoandroid and I have not heard of any request you, that you wanted to use.
Here is a thread on issues which start Marco Lomas, who first made aware that Cydia was still compatible with our Razr I, so I followed the rules and did not post here (I did in HTCmania and Grupoandroid)
just as it should be for the ways ..... if you make a thread you should do so with your own material, so unless it is the intention and EFFORT to help.
Thanks

Sure, if you want me to put pics i'll do it, i listed you in the credits anyways! No probs
For me, only some of the themes change the menu UI. Also, only some of the icons in the menu get changed, some don't. I thought that the version of CM that some themes were made for might be an issue, so I've tried some made for CM 10.1 and still, some icons and pieces are unchanged.
I added screenshots below. You see flight mode and tethering never get changed.
I completely uninstalled the apps and reinstalled them. I then only tried 10.1 themes. It still happens! Grrr
Also do some themes downloaded not 'appear' for people in Winterboard? Sometimes if I restart the phone, they appear, some never appear even though they are in the installed app list.
Thanks for any help.

Android 2.0.1-r5v0.6
Dead:
==============
After spending some time and looking over this rom and ways to make it work with out any legal issues. The most viable option was to build something like what cynanogen has built. His process takes the proprietary bits (all google apps including sync) and copies them off onto the SD card before doing a update. After the update it copies them back to the newly installed rom. This method basically does a automated backup/restore of your licensed applications. I can't do this for several reasons including that we are supposed to be coming from a 1.5 OS to a 2.0.1, which isn't compatible with the older application set.
Temporarily Offline:
==============
I am sorry to have to do this but we are now having more then just a small handful goofing with this ROM and I need to take this offline while I inspect each of the parts and make sure all licensing is in order since its a bit more then the google Opensource framework. I know that several other ROM creators have not paid much attention to it as I am going to now but I really don't want to upset any IP holders like what happened to Cynanogen a couple months back.
I will put it back up but I want to make sure that I am totally covered and don't have any issues.
version 0.6: download (offline)
==============
-fixed wifi thanks to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=593620
-Now starts up with Android stock keyboard. (No longer needs HTC_IME.apk for second keyboard)
A few have asked for this ROM so I thought I would put it up here for anyone that wants to contribute to or take from it.
This ROM is only compatible with the Sprint CDMA HTC Hero. It is not finished and still requires some work but its good enough for my day to day use and I am sure others may find the same potential.
This ROM is vanilla android and what it takes to actually get it running on a CDMA phone. It is built off of this GSM variant. I am going to try and work to remove the google bits so that you can use Cynanogens method of extracting your own and then doing a follow up update to install them. My efforts for this is not to build a better rom but to build a cleaner base that has limited to no proprietary IP.
Credits to all on this forum how have helped or contributed in any way to building the roms that are here. I would point out names but there are to many to name. I am positive that anyone that pays attention to this forum will know who you are. I used many parts of these ROM's and many others on XDA to build this one.
This is my first ROM and was primarily made for myself to help me learn how to create a custom ROM.
Here is the link to my blog where I originally posted about this and a video of it booting.
Here is the Youtube video of it booting: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tRTh-rXKe-E
*Warning*: Don't attempt to flash this ROM onto anything else unless you know what you are doing! I am not responsible for any device malfunctions or "Bricks".
Notes on Installing:
- Run a Nandroid backup before you do anything.
- Make sure you do a full wipe first. (Sorry )
- Run the update zip found * Version 0.6 *(offline) from the recovery console.
To get the HTC keyboard installed: (Now Optional as of Version 0.6)
- Follow the instructions here.
Things that don't work:
- Gallery some times has issues.
- Camera
- Wired or Wireless Tethering (Now Testing)
- Orientation
- Trackball light
- Trackball click (Rolling and moving are fine)
- (Let me know if something else needs to go here.)
Possible issues that are not repeatable:
- speaker not working on out bound calls? I made 30 test calls to my home phone and was not able to replicate this issue. Needs to be verified (see here)

FYI: The first boot takes for ever as it registers all the APKS.

So you installed both the HTC_IME.apk and the Clicker.apk? Did you do a adb push or a adb install?
Try and go into settings --> Language & Keyboard --> Touch Input --> Text Input?
I think its a force of habit with out really thinking to go there and calibrate but just going there may help.
Try that and let me know.
i just flashed it and pushed the keyboard and calibration app through adb and all is well. its working awesome. Thanks!!!

Thanks, but I really can't take to much credit. Its a "Pick and Pull" from several ROMs. This one actually came from our GSM Brothers and then I used the CDMA tricks in this form to make it work.
I keep watching and playing with the Google Nexus Dumps. I would really like to get one of them up and running.
Based on your posting and replies I assume you are re-using the 2.6.27 kernel like the other roms?

Wow thats allot in a little space.
What I gather is that it originally booted, then after trying to install via droid explorer and then astro it now just dies after the lockscreen.
I am not sure where to start. I would just say to do a full wipe, then a clean install. Then if you have the sdk try the ADB install method as Cynanogen's post talks about.
I am working on trying to get the stock Android keyboard to work. If we can figure out that then we don't have to mess with the HTC one.
ok i got it i just adb pushed them to system/app works great

Yeah, actually some of your work if I remember correctly, thats why its got the same issues. My first goal when I built this for my self was to get past the blasted google bits sync loop. The more I worked into it the more I moved on to the 2.0.1 build with some of your stuff in it.
Your welcome to anything I have learned, its really not my work.
Most recent mod on post #7
you can easily add a font (also battery and so on) to a ROM (tested only on WB's CM6 V06, but I think it should work for other ones too) by yourself:
1. just upload the framework-res.apk (lokated in system/framework) from your rom to http://uot.dakra.lt/ (under kitchen/file upload)
2. make the changes you want to have in the tab "kitchen"
3. dl the output file
4. afterwards flash it via xrecovery.
Note:
if that doesn't work for you,
1. manually mount data and and system in partition tools
2. afterwards flash the zip.
This ist the way, i, simacid and playgunsta "made" the new battery icons and font for WB's CM6.
I suggest we put our modded files here so we can all post our creations and so everyone can choose by himself what he likes, without searching the whole threats.
Note:
When making a post, please add for which rom it is and which version of it. also post a screenshot when possible and add what you have modded.
Update: seek4 just confirmed that everything is working fine for him except the power toggle widgets in notification area, so keep going and don't hesitate to post your creations.
Update2: kevjef420 noted, that if you use Amend scripting in the tab "file upload", everything works fine without mounting system and data manually. Thanks for that.
regards
So, ill start this with my "mod":
Rom: Cyanogenmod 6.1.3 V06 by Wolfbreak (don't use on other roms)
Mod: only the Battery icon (without percent, so you can choose the color with Cyanogenmod settings)
Edit: also works on hotfix V06.1 by WB (because there are no changes in framework)
Screenshot: in attachmend
I tried to use this source 3 days ago. Uploaded my framework-res.apk from WB rom, changed only battery icons, flashed my cooked framework-res.apk using xRec, nothing changed. I don't know what I did wrong, but its seems not working for me.
But I didn't do this
1. manually mount data and and system in partition tools

then do it .
1. go to xrecovery
2. go to partition tools
3. mount system and data
4. press back button
5. flash the zip file as usual
it should work then, worked for my gf's phone also
I also didn't have anything change the first time. What you need to do is in the screen where you upload your framework on the lefthand side there is 3 options that you can select. By default it has the first and last option selected but you need to select the second and third not the first one. I don't remember what they are right now since I am not near my computer.
This worked for me. I created a nice theme I will upload it here latter when I get a chance.

Ok my new mod:
Rom: Cyanogenmod 6.1.3 V06 by Wolfbreak (don't use on other roms)
Mod:
1. Battery icon (without percent, so you can choose the color with Cyanogenmod settings) (this time made it to turn red when under 30 percent and other charging animation)
2. Notification background (pure black, 75% transparent)
Screenshot: in attachmend
Edit: sorry, forgott to insert the file
Edit2: also works on hotfix V06.1 by WB (because there are no changes in framework)

So are you saying that the transparency setting works with CM6 roms?
cause it says in the kitchen that it is for gingerbread roms only.
oh and this is the option that I checked that got my mod to work without having to make any other changes. (second option)
"Amend scripting. Old scripting, compatible with old recoveries. Use this if you having problem with flashing (no changes, error 0) or have not HTC Desire phone"
I have been using this kitchen for a few weeks now with no problems since I have started checking this option in the file upload tab.
thanks for sharing it with everyone.

No. What I did is under kitchen/status bar i ticked the background only, set the color to be fully black and choosen the transparency to be 75%. As you can see in my screenshot, it worked. Don't tick the option "Enable transparency in statusbar".

Nope, 2.1 fw-res is too big to upload. There is a size limit on Uot. You could make one for a different Rom then dig out the icons. It's a pain but it works.

hi,
thanks so much for this thread, it is awesome and has really helped me out!!
can someone just answer a few little things for me....
i am running wolfbreaks 6.1.3 v07, and i have tried to load a few different boot animations using the kitchen, but it never works, it just says sony erricsson?? i checked in my system/media, and there is a bootanimation.zip - do i need to specifically install it or should it automatically have done that when i installed the kitchen zip? (i had to mount system and data in xrecovery, if that means anything?)
also, is there a way similar to kitchen that i can edit the little icons that appear next to SHUT DOWN, REBOOT, AIRPLANE MODE etc? atm mine are grey, but i seen on the kitchen that they can be coloured? is the reason that they are grey due to my framework-res settings? and if so, is there a way i can change it?
thanks in advance!

Themed to look like the Gingerbread (2.3.x) Motoblur Builds from devices like:
Droid X/X2/2/3, Photon 4G, Triumph, and Atrix
This will work on BravoX Rom as well as stock Bravo 2.2.1 (as tested by abhi897)
I have only tested it on BravoX RC2 so I can't guarantee any results, anything you do to damage your phone is not my responsibility.
This modifies all of the framework-res.apk and some of the services.jar
What it changes:
Status Bar & icons
Popup menus
Buttons
Drop down menus
"loading" spinners
and other things i can't remember
Requirements:
Root
BandroidX's bootstrap recovery or Sndinit.apk (below) or have ADB set up with knowledge
some knowledge on what you need to do if something goes wrong with your phone (e.g. SBF, nandroid restore)
To apply:(With bootstrap recovery or 2ndInit)
Download the flashable zip below to sdcard
Boot into CWM recovery through BandroidX's recovery app
make a nandroid backup
Select install zip from sdcard
Select choose zip from sdcard
Select the downloaded .zip.zip
select yes to confirm
wait for installation to finish (a few seconds)
Reboot (will take a while because of the modded services.jar, so BE PATIENT!) Pull Battery and boot up again if boot takes longer than 5 minutes
Enjoy your theme!
(With ADB)
Download the .zip to you computer
Extract the services.jar and framework-res.apk to where your ADB directory is
Plug your phone in with phone portal and ADB debugging enabled (settings>applications>development)
Open up your command prompt
Type these commands (after each, press enter):
Code:
cd [directory of adb and .jar and .apk]
adb remount
adb push framework-res.apk /system/framework/framework-res.apk
adb push services.jar /system/framework/services.jar
adb reboot
(reboot will take awhile because you are modding the services.jar, so BE PATIENT!) Pull Battery and boot up again if boot takes longer than 5 minutes
Things needed in upcoming updates:
Change some white font to black for easier reading (such as pull down menus)
If there is anything else, let me know

EXTRA- if you want Gingerbread Market notifications and Gmail notifications follow these steps:
Note: you don't need my status bar mod, it will work on any phone.
Download Gingerbread_icons_market_and_gmail.zip from below
put on sdcard
uninstall market and gmail
rename the vending.apk and gmail.apk (located in system/app/) to vending.bak and gmail.bak
boot into CWM recovery
Wipe Cache
Select install from zip from sdcard
select choose zip from sdcard
select gingerbread_icons_market_and_gmail.zip
install

Very Cool, I have DroidX and wow it looks just like it in the pics! I am going to install this on my dev bravo and check it out.
One note to users, I would not use the services.jar w/o my ROM, the services.jar is deodexed and you cant mix a dedodexed services.jar w/ a non-deodexed framework, you will bootloop.

This is Very Cool Jorgonv!!!
Jorg, is there a way we can get an Odexed version of the "services.jar" file, for those who wish to use the stock rom?
How does it run on the hardware? Any issues so far?
I will probably flash back over to the latest RC and test it out.
Lately, i have preferred staying on the stock Rom, as it seems to score better in Quadrant... (i think maybe because of the deodexing, it needs to do more at start-up, leaving some resources still open, or used.)
Never-the-less, I think the Rom bandroidx has compiled for is is am amazing piece of work, and only the beginning to our list of supported Os versions!!!
I can't wait to load this theme up on the RC.
Will test it out and see how it goes!!
bandroidx,
Do you foresee any work with a complete vanilla gingerbread, or higher, version of android being cooked?
This bootloader situation seems kind of sticky to me, what kind of keywords would you recommend i search for, in efforts to overcome this limitation?
Thanks!!
I love it!
Two requests/questions:
*It seems like my "synching" notification icon never goes away?
* Any plans on including a circle battery icon?

Glad you like it. I've seen some people with the same syncing icon problem and the only solution was to wipe data.
I'm not planning to making it with a circle icon, this theme is only droid x 2.3.
I will be making more themes in the future, possibly with circular battery icons.

I dont think the odexed version would make the phone run any slower. I am running the rom fine at 1 ghz and no lag. The only difference is the first boot-up after wiping the cache. after that, it boots up at the normal speed

Thanks!!

you should read android central's new piece of quadrant benchmarks. real world feel is probably a better indicator and the rom feels faster.
the rom removes bloatware and services that would usually run and waste memory like voice commander nad others, the deodexing if anything should speed things up.
i am starting to think odexing is just a way for a oem to lock things down a little more. but i really dont know too much about beyond the basics.
quadrant can be swayed far too much by IO, and io can be effected so easily in so many ways.
either way, i wouldnt concern yourself too much with quadrant scores when deciding to run the rom or not. quadrant can be a good indicator like when overclocking (and nothing else has changed except clock speed) but when it comes to different rom's I am not sure its as good of an indicator. I do own quadrant advanced though so I can run it on the rom and see what scores differ specifically, i am betting on IO, but who knows.
Tell you what...I'm not fond of the cost of these projects but I got a $30 donation if somehow you can change the swype color path to red...

Swype Beta, or the stock bravo one?
True. I flashed over to rc2, only, and it scored near the same rang as the stock..
I concur with the topic of real world feel, and benchmarks.. Benchmarks can only tell you so much..
Well, my interest is more towards breaking the boot loader moto has placed upon the newer phones.. Do you know of any current projects to defeat this you may be able to link me too?

Hey jorg,
When I installed the theme, my status bar text is still black, hard to see against the dark background.. Will you package the white text in the next edition?

Stock swype...I'm using the droid 2.3.3 theme and I was curious if you could plug code into it for red swype. i've been trying to use UOT Kitchen but for some reason, when I attempt to use it, all the tabs are greyed/inactive.

I checked the file and it seems to be already white. Try flashing the file again
just sent you the file you requested above...
also, i noted, i will have to try and clear the cache next time i install it, and see if that works...
Thanks Jorgonv!!
I'm having the same clock text color problem for the update, but I already tried re-flashing and that didn't work. I'm going to try doing the cache this time to see if it works.
Edit: After wiping both the Davlik cache and the cache partition I re-flashed, but the clock text didn't change. I'm probably doing something wrong, but I can't figure it out.

Great job on this theme, it really is great!
I didnt want to derail the Leo homescreen thread so I decided to just make a thread.
I need help installing a theme specifically this one
"Nordpolcampers Glacier Theme."
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920136
The last one with the clouds/mountains.
I've never put a theme before nor do I know how to use CHT2.0 at all. I've installed the "GTX rom," and know I need to change the rom for this to work.
So 2 questions.
1. Can someone help me choose a rom that this would work really well on.
2. Can someone give me step by step instructions on what to do to install and modify the theme to work like how its shown on that pic....as well as the CHT2.0 changes as well.
Thank you...for anyone that helps out and if noone does I'll let the thread die.
You might have better luck asking in the theme thread!
haha ok tahnk you for replying so fast.
I've already asked in the theme thread but didnt want to derail so I will just wait it out I suppose.
thank you.

Ok grifter I think I will answer that here
The rom I can highly recommend is steves elegancia rom. I had it on my HD2 for a long time and it works perfectly. Also it comes with cht2 preinstalled so that you can start right away
For flashing the rom. Well thats quite simply, but you should read some guides first and plz consider the risk. But if you want a quick guide by me. Just look inte the Roms thread and find out what radio is supported and flash that onto your device. Just conntect via Active sync or something similar and rund the radio exe and it will automatically flash your radio. After thats been done, restart your device and download the elegancia rom to your pc. Connect your handy again via active sync and then run the exe in the Rom folder. then the flashing will begin. Steve included a folder in his download with some widgets etc that you might install and which I recommend you you do when the rom works
Then for the Glacier Theme.
If you want the full theme just download and install the full theme cab on your device. Put the wallpapers for the Theme on your phone, too. Thats all. Change the Background via CHTE and then set your screen up as you see it on the screenshots, or as you feel best
Hope that helped you

Yeah I was wrong about the rom.
I put GTX on my touchpro and on my HD2 I put either the Dnick/or elegant because I was looking and the CHT said 2.0.
I havent changed my radio but I dont think that will hurt the rom.
Wi try right now thank you.
How do I get my screen to look like that?
Right now I was able to put everything on the phone and the clock/and notifications have changed I just still have lots of crap on the front screen and when you change pages they still look like the old rom.
I've never used CHT so can you help me out in this dept.
edit-
Seems my page indicator, soft keys, and the top bar dont change at all.
I keep trying to install and override the last one and restart but nothing has changed.

mhmh...well sry, but I really cant find the time
Well you have to make sure, that CHT v2 and the CHTE 2 are installed, before you install my cab. Then just go into the Start Menu and open CHTE and under Softbar check enable CHT Softbar. Then press menu and apply changes and again menu and exit.
Then when you are on your homescreen you can just long press anywhere and select add free link and then select the toggle switches and choose the ones you like.
I am pretty sure, that I wrote a very detailed guide on how to make my themes work on the first post of my thread, plz check back there

Doesnt matter now you helped me.
Just had trouble trying to get rid of the soft bar at the bottom other than that its working.
The android top bar wasnt really going with the theme I thought so kept it off.
Thanks you helped me.
Also that "Detailed," Guide was just saying "install cab,'' haha.
just an accurate battery & mod for GT-P6200 for CM9 DP3
Flashing this on anything other than DP3 will likely result in bootloop.
Flash .zip in recovery. There shouldn't be a need to wipe anything.
Tried to keep image/size as close to stock as possible.
Enjoy.
Thanks to Aorth and Locerra and everyone who helped to build CM9 for our device!
Edit: Actually this may be possible with theme chooser. I was planning on making a theme chooser theme, but It seems limited/confusing and actually harder than just theming apks. So I will make a standard flashable themed .zip as well as a back to stock flashable .zip.
thanks for sharing~~~
i will have to refrain from theming until we have more of a final build.
please anyone report if this suddendly doesnt work with an alpha/ developer preview, etc.
thanks.
Not working
it did not work tab 6200 just kept on restarting ,
i even tried to place the stock one it also still doing the same thing
any fast solution i dont feel like restoring from back up wich i dont even thing that will do as well thanx for the effort anyways.
probably outdated, I was suspecting things would change.
just try advanced restore and restoring /system only, you should be all set.
This is why Im not going to theme until we have a RC1.
I could try the Tmobile Theme Engine, but it seems like more work and limited as what you can theme, etc.
I may even wait for JellyBean.
I will make a note in OP. Thanks.
I dont understand why CM9 doesnt have a numbered battery icon option?? just the numerical one with slim bar.
IF you're still interested in this MOD, and you have some apk skills, you can use UOT Kitchen and pick any numbered icon batt %. If it cooks successfully, use my icons to replace them. There are other ways to do this, but I would say that would be the easiest.
Peace.
