Download HERE
Only flashable and no theme
Sorry, All Samsung haters
personally i don't lyk it's UI....!!
I'll try it out!
EDIT: This is my new daily skin. Im using it with TripNRaVeRs CyanogenMod 6 ROM. Work very good! Alot is skinned, me like.
BUT, could you please change that awful stock Android camera theme (CM6)? Atleast the background, its awful IMO.

Waiting for widgets already using w/cm7

I like the fact that this is made as a mod instead of another rom, thanks op!
And I think you should change the Market icon in the next version, to the stock market icon. This one is confusing! xD
Okay will be working on it
And thanks a lot
I just realized that there were already too many roms so as a marketing statergy I targeted all ROM users
This and your other mod should really be in themes and apps not android development. Nice work, although I wont be trying, I'm using cm7.

Wow you did a nice job here, no need to apologise for anything I'm very grateful and I'm sure I speak for many other people at the same time in saying - well done!
I've been schmuckering about with the SGS a little recently and this is kind of useful..
Cheers!

Very nice! I enjoyed a lot but I have an issue with Gmail app, it gives FC every time I try to open it. I'm using this ROM scamble{rendeiro2005}[CM6.1.3].
Some screenshots & a mirror pls?
It work , but i deleted it , because I don't like samsung apps. But it worked great
Guys what is the best aosp rom so far. In terms of speed and abscence of bugs?
Sent from my HTC Desire S using XDA Premium App
I think Saga LBC Mod and Virtuous Unity Miui has the best looking UI n faster but lots of bugs
Oh sorry. U r asking about non sense based ROM. Only MIUi is going to be best after some days as it becomes stable. Superkid is working Hard. Let's wait.

yep. MIUI is the best for now.
ZuluGen is great too, also i LOVE Hydrogen
but you should go for MIUI.
MIUI is one of the best, bugs are minimal.
Thanks for that.. thats one of my chiices.. miui and cm7

I have been using Cyanogenmod for a while now. I have found it to be really stable. The latest version (NeoLojik's v1.0.2) has much improved battery life and all the configurability of CM.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1240177
Using ZuluGen now. Got no bugs at all since I used it.
Battery life is also very well. And it based on CM7.
By the way, need to install some application to use T9 keypad.
Overall, very superb.

I can 100% agree with runagate17. I switched from Stock Rom 1.47 to this CyanogenMod and it feels like having a new device in terms of speed. I encountered no stability problems yet. You can also apply a sense theme, if you need some eye candy.

ZuluGen also based on CyanogenMod, so, can totally agree with you too.
I think all are becoming quite mature with minimal bugs. Just have to try each one and see which you like the most.

Best advice, i completely agree.
Omg, i wasnt in this part of the forums for years
Well, in my opinion your decision shouldnt be about who is faster or who is not. all non sense roms here ( at least miui, cm and zulu) works fast as hell.
The idea is the gui, zulu have a really nice gui that looks and fells like android, cm have a pretty standard android gui and miui have a more ios look
Your choice!
MIUI and ZuluGen from my experience.
Both have great battery life and minimal bugs.
It's most likely a choice of which one you like the feel of most.
just lookin for a rom like Hydrogen..
is there one without bugs tho.?
Agreed! MIUI is a great rom, and is very fast! just takes a bit of getting used to as its completely different to sense!
Anyone flashed the latest MIUI? Does it have any bugs?

We'll am on miui 1.9.9 and no bugs noted yet

im not really into the MIUI interface
but can any one help me decide.? Hydrogen or CM7 ?
miui definatly!
I just flash my first ROM yesterday, got MIUI 1.12.23 for Infuse. I started this thread seeing if I could get some pros and cons on MIUI. Any help would be great.
Hopefully this could be an area to help newer people with their first ROM.

Pros, awesome UI, themes, much better performance than others, smooth, very personalization, blue recovery ( better for me) all applications including gasps work fine, very stable.
Cons, almost all versions only have two languages English and Chinese, battery drain in some devices, root problems with some miui versions, Samsung apps don't work in my infuse.
Finally is a great rom I tried cm, darky, infused, caty room, and others and miui is the best for me.

PROS:
- EXTRA customizable
- TONS of skins/unlock screens/themes/ect...
- lots of menu options
- LOTS of widgets / mods
- weekly updates (friday)
- MIUI music
- built-in screen capture
- easily under-volted and over-clocked
- D&D mode
- EASY theme back-ups
- buttery smooth
- nice, snappy response
- VERY LIITLE, to no lag in HD games
CONS:
- easy to get lost if new to MiUi (or modding in general)
- some flashes cause loss of root/recovery
- semi-hard to get used to (new user)
- battery drain issue (in rare cases)
- hard to decide on themes (not really a con)
- doesnt play well with low DPI
- Theme app often "fails to connect to network"
- slow downloads for themes (when not on wifi)
- slow GPS-accuracy (in some cases)
--------------------------------------------------
hope this helped you..

I'm working a custom rom that has as much of Sense pulled out as possible without interfering with functionality. It is based on SOS S by Swagstr and it is super smooth. The main focus will be battery life. It's also as smooth as a baby's arse. Its like the remove sense option from the EViO series. Its a stable beta. I'm only calling it a beta because I haven't themed it yet. Anyway just try it out and tell me what you think!
-Stock Deodexed Sense 1.0
-MAXED OUT build.prop
-Native screenshot, Quick settings, Tweaked browser, CRT animation, 4 in 1 reboot, swiping notifications, Volume music mod,
-ICS Gtalk from Swagstr
-Most of sense Ui pulled out
-Sony Xperia S experience
-A bunch of init.d tweaks
-GPS tweak - should be faster?
-Nexus S boot animation
-HTC everything removed
-No live wallpapers, they're cool and all but they destroy battery life
-Lots of Ram
-Cleaned up like 10 mb in libraries
-Hacked hotspot
-Its pretty damn fast.
-Download is 134 mb so its slim
Instructions to install:
Wipe everything: data, cache, system, dalvik, and boot, three times each
Flash rom
Flash any kernels/ tweaks
Reboot
Let rom sit for a while
Then using titanuim backup install the htc setup wizard and google setup wizard and anything else you don't like
Reboot and wipe cache and dalvik
let it sit and your're good

downloaded both copies and tried to flash both. i get to the startup animation and it keeps looping there. are there any special requirements for this rom? i am using cmw and have an ext3 partition.
It doesn't boot? I probably uploaded the wrong zip. I'll update the link right now. Sorry guys. Its pretty stable otherwise.

confirmed working! great rom so far. the xperia launcher is a nice touch, just wish it had more of the widgets.
gonna flash the sense sbc kernel and see how the battery last.
Running great so far, everything is very smooth especially the xperia launcher, plenty of space for apps on first install.

I'm free to take any requests. I'm planning on making the lockscreen and notifications transparent. After Tuesday I won't be able to work on it till Sunday. I'm going to DC. Anybody has any tips on what to visit?

Love to see the ability to remove the battery icon. Personally I like the miui like top battery bar.

Looks cool, will be trying this tomorrow.
Um I was planning to let the Rom resemble stock gingerbread more. For some weird reason the dialer from cm7.2 started working and its perfect. I'm taking out the HTC gallery app and removing the libraries and including the stock one instead. Also the HTC contacts, clock, calculator are also going. I plan to include the aosp versions instead. Any objections?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA
It's your ROM to do with as you please, but I prefer the Sense dialer and contacts. Both do the job though, I just like the look of the HTC stuff. That's my humble opinion.

Yea I agree, HTC makes some nice looking stuff, albeit bloated. But whatever saves space feel free to do! Also, the SOS tweaks and mods would work on this too right? Just wondering if anyone else tried before I have a go, but I guess I could always nandroid.
SOS Tweaks should work on it. And I'm keeping the Sense Dialer and Contacts. I really wanna focus on stability and smoothness. I don't like the Sense gallery and I'll put in the MIUI one or Stock one. The stock syncs photos and is pretty stable and fast. I will include the aosp clock for people who don't need the sense one. There's gonna be an update tonight including the new stuff and some tweaks. When I get out of beta we'll have transparency.

Sounds good man I can't wait! What kinda tweaks are you putting in? Or is it a surprise?
I would love a MIUI ROM, with Beatz audio or some other good audio mod, Sense camera, inverted GAPPS, debloated and customizable kernel.
I love the recent MIUI look and themes. Not a huge fan of Avatar (no offense meant to anyone, it just doesn't have the MIUI look I like).
Viper is great and customizable but HUGE and I don't get great battery life. It's almost 700mb.
CM and its variants are nice, running liquid smooth now. Good battery life but kinda plain for me
Had HTC released the camera firmware yet?
Anyway, just rambling but that's what I'm looking for if anyone has suggestions.

If you're getting bad battery life you're doing something wrong.
Not gonna happen, but acid audio and inverted gapps you can do. But no sense cam. And miui launcher if you havent used it u could try.
