Is there still any support for this?
I'm inching closer and closer to getting this thing working, but I need some help.
Originally, I got an error saying the APK file was incompatible, but people said ignore that and just go on. Obviously that didn't work, when I tried to open the game a popup saying "Updating..." came up, then closed, and went back to my homescreen, no errors or anything, it just closed.
I did this on both V1 and V2 Beta, same problem.
Then I found the 1.0.3 APK file of Crash Bandicoot. Used V1 to convert, SWEET I thought it had worked. But then after the initial PSX Pocket loading screen, I got an error saying the data was corrupted and would need to be redownloaded.
I read up more on it, one person said this was likely caused by the person copying the data folder files BEFORE installing the APK. So I installed the APK, it forced closed obviously because theres no data. Then I copied over the data folder, same problem.
Then I tried using V2 Beta, installing the APK, then transfering the data folder, now it wont even even go into the emulator, it does the whole "updating..." popup then just closes.
After that I used V2 Beta, copied the data over, and then installed the APK. I get the same god damn "updating..."
Can ANYONE help me or should I just forget this program.
As I said I'm using a Crash Bandicoot 1.0.3 USA I got online. I have to use the 94900 zpak off my phone as I cant find the 00344 zpak online ANYWHERE.
Is that my problem though? Do I need to find the matching ZPAK file to the APK?
Can anyone share these files somehow? The closest I got was using V1 with the 1.0.3 apk, it just says the data corrupt, if I can get past that I'm good. But there NO information about it online.
Forgot to mention, I'm using an R800A, rooted, with a locked bootloader. Think it would make a difference if I unlocked the bootloader, and loaded R800i onto it?
/bump
No one has any insight into this?

Is there maximum amount of bumps allowed?

I'm still bumpin bump

Stilllll goin

how long will I keep this going?
If you are refering to yinfanlu (or however it was spelled, sorry if I butchered it) then he no longer supports it as of I think fir st of second week of Jan this year. Dont remember what the reasons were but I believe he did leave all the sources available but I dont think anyone ha picked up where he left off.
His phone was stolen, that's why he stopped developing and supporting the app.

i finally got it working i used some data files found on page 12 of the psxperia thread.
Trying to open an MP3 link within Google Reader using CM9 and get the message "No applications can perform this action."
I've tried downloading a different media player (PowerAmp) - doesn't fix the issue.
Any ideas?
this probably isnt the problem but its the only thing i can think. The mp3 file could be possibly be corrupted.
Good try. Any others?

try not be a total [email protected]@ when others provide feedback...you did ask...
maybe you didnt mean to come across like that...but it seemed like it...hate those short [email protected]@ short like anwsers my self...but imho
or maybe reply with something like this...
thanks for your post, from what I have seem and identified the file doesnt seem to be corrupt...I know this because I have done ...XXXX and XXXX
see my point...
thx
Point taken. Definitely didn't mean it like that. Should have included an emotion, I suppose. I took his response as a little funny and generally expect others on technical forums not to read emotion from plain speech...
Files aren't corrupt. All mp3 links from within Google Reader app result in the same message. Same app and links worked prior to move to ICS.
Others on Google+ with CM9 on non-Infuse report the same issue, so perhaps it is ICS specific.
Could be that the mime type reported by the server for the files does not have a handler. Mp3 files work fine when stored locally on the device, though.
Trying to build a rom, and keep getting an error stating "Resources appear in overlay but not in base. Use <add-resource> to add." Where do I add the resource? Noob question but I'm doing my best to learn, and have come a long way without any help. Any advice is appreciated :fingers-crossed:
So, if someone wanted to repeat your issue in order to try and help you, what would they do? Your message is giving an error message, but not telling anyone when that message appears, what is generating the message, steps to repeat, what device you are using, what you've changed, etc, etc.
In fact, your message is only a little better than creating a new thread containing only the words "it doesn't work." (without defining "it", etc.)
take care

Well, Gary...First off, thank you for responding. I understand the confusion as this is a dual device thread. I'm working on the SGS 3 (d2att). I figured my message was pretty much self explanatory as to the issue I'm having. When I stated trying to "build" a rom. I figured that would mean during the compiling script. Overlay issues generally seem to be related to vendor files as far as I can tell. I tried to add a device framework dimesion overlay to one of my vendor files (An s3 common folder I forked from Rootbox). I edited the arrays.xml and config.xml file inside the values folder under frameworks/base/core to allow such resources. This seemed to be the logical step, but then the error presented itself.
A overlay is supposed to modify a value in the base to the specific one you need for your device. So you must have added a value in your overlay that is not present in the base. Let's see if you can figure it out from there.

You basically just paraphrased what I said in the previous post. I told you the steps I took to correct the error. Did it work? No....

Pretty sure I answered the one question you asked in your OP. Plus I believe this whole thread is better suited for Chef Central.

So you just looked at the OP and posted without reading any of the thread? Thats helpful :good:
Because we can all read your mind and your computer logs to know exactly what you typed. You asked a question and I answered it, without knowing what exactly you changed/added how are we supposes to provide any further support?
I did read your post...I don't see how it was supposed to change my answer though.

It's all good man...just frustrating. I've worked out sooo many kinks but this one has me stumped. The logs are gone and it takes 90 min to even get to that point during the build. I added device configurations to the vendor files. The ones giving me trouble are the resources in the vendor overlays files. Like I said, I added the resources to the config.xml and array.xml in the base...it still won't compile.

You are still leaving out information. Based on some of the other replies, it's pretty obvious that I'm not the only one who thinks so.
For example, it seems to be (based on some of the things you are saying) that you are building a form of AOSP? CM? AOKP? Something else? What? Which version? (Yes, it DOES matter.)
It might help if you recreate your situation from a "known" starting point. For example, grab the cm10 (or 10.1) code as a starting point. Then make minimal changes to that in order to reproduce your problem. (I'm guessing this would mean just adding a couple xml files to the overlay.) If you get the same error, then you'll be able to post CLEAR instructions to repeat the issue - such as "started with cm10.1 and was able to compile for d2att fine. Added the following files (attached) to the x/y/z directory and then edited file a/b/c to what is also attached, and then when I run brunch, I get an error stating 'error message here'"
If you do what I suggested, then someone else would be able to reproduce exactly what you are seeing (or at least be able to understand the context of your issue) and might help.
...unless, of course, you are deliberately NOT sharing information. If that's the case, please state that. It would make things easier.

ur getting something like
(xml file):# (error message)
right?
if so, just open up the xml file and delete the part with whatever resource it tells you

Not really neccessary anymore...vendor files were updated with latest sync. Fixed my issue and wasted a few days of my time :/
so any time i try to type into the post reply or anything like that it autofills with a post quote and a reply i gave in a Q&A thread. no matter where i go on the site it auto populates the reply, even overwrites a different quote with it. it's weird because it includes my reply. so for some reason this site has saved my post quote and reply and overwrites anything i try to quote or reply. does anyone know wth is happening and how to stop it? i'm on linux mint and using Chromium. i've cleared all the history/cookies and everything back to the beginning of time. this is really frustrating.
EDIT**** i disabled all add ons on Chromium and slowly turned them back on till i found the one that was doing this. LastPass was auto filling the reply box for some strange reason even though i never told it to and had told it clear all auto fill forms. i had to manually edit the xda entry and found that it in fact had an auto fill form for this site. i just removed it and all is good again. mods feel free to delete this thread.
Theres another thread who have the same problem as im: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2779190
BUT, it was closed without a direct answer to the question. I can only see a little hint though im not sure.
I get this error and why is it?

I was having this problem, but then I uninstalled and reinstalled and now everything is working okay. Also I authorised my google account (I'd been ignoring a warning message until then), but I don't think that had any influence on Link2SD.
