Hi this might seem like a silly question but sorry I'm a newb. My programs folder is getting rather large, Id like to make more tidy like one of Leo's/ Garmin's Rom's without loosing all my apps. Can I just create a folder in the programs menu and cut and paste the apps I want to move in this newly created folder. Thanks for any help or info regarding this silly question.
Yes, you can do just that.
Would have taken you less time to test if it worked than it took to post your question!
Yes you can!
Open your devide explorer and go to:
My device -> Windows -> Start Menu -> Programs.
The icons that appear there are those that are used in the programs mnu.
If you create folders and put the icons by cut paste in the folders it should work.

Did try to but kept getting a message come up "Moving may prevent some programs from working. Continue?" so I thought to ask the community before doing something which may have made other things stuff up. Couldn't find the answer using the Xda-developers search engine. Had I tried it and if it had stuffed other programs then I'm sure it would have taken longer to fix than to post a question. Isn't that what these forums are for?
Thanks anyway.

Blackfire1, you know this is not the place you ask these questions... I've seen you in Dream Q&A and we've always been helpful there, there's no reason to post this question here.
Answer to your problem: Why are you pushing a wallpaper to SD? You can just mount, then transfer your file.
To set the wallpaper (you're using Hero if I remember correctly),
on the Home Screen of your phone, press your menu button
then go to Settings>Personlize>Home Wallpaper and Choose to select a Wallpaper from Album
Then just select your picture to set as your wallpaper and you're good... Please follow the rules
If you feed a dog from the table....
He'll always beg. Although it was very kind of you to take the time to answer.
This particular forum is really cluttered, I'm just one verbal voter trying to ease the load on the Moderators.
Mods, as soon as you see fit, would you move this? Not that you don't have enough to do already....
i think he meas how to push one to his sdcard so if thats what you mean the it
adp push (name of file) /sdcard/(name of folder if you put it in a specific one)
Start asking your questions in the right sub-forum (Q&A), or i will be forced to ban you for 3 days or till you learn.
Thanks

Hi!
How could I delete HTC default links in windows start menu (footprints, music, etc...)
I've tried to delete them from (\windows\start menu\etc...), but when i reboot the phone they are still there !
Many thanks
no one has the same problem ?
thx
To be honest, they don't bother me in the slightest, but I was just able to delete the HTC messaging link, and it's still not reappeared after 2 resets.
I know that some files will be replaced if they're deleted, but these links don't appear to come under that heading, on my phone at least.
Maybe create a sub-folder in the programs folder and just try moving them to there. It may not recreate them unless they're actually deleted.

Like I said, I'm personally not bothered whether they're there or not, but I've just checked that registry entry, and it's set to 1 but I can delete the links and they don't come back.
Weird.
Edit: I take it back. The only that doesn't get recreated is the one I tried as a test - the messaging one. The other 4 (calendar, music, people & twitter) do come back. Never mind!
Forget it. Im so stupid and dont know how I missed it in the first place. I never thought about just pressing delete at the bottom of the screen, then selecting all to delete.
Sorry. Can someone delete this thread?
I had that same question, and now I know. Thanks!
I can not get my "apps" folder moved. It somehow got moved down on my home screen and I can't move it at all. It moved down to where my main apps are, like phone, browser, contacts. I can move all of those except my apps folder.
