Got my phone last Wed, and until 5 minutes ago it had been flawless.
Was sitting on the desk next to me, and spontaneously lit up, vibrated, and rebooted.
Everything seems to be fine, but was a bit strange.
Anyone else seen this?

I've had this quite a bit, twice during phone calls too. Once it gets regular I do a factory reset and it sorts it for a few days. I'm also getting the capacitive buttons not responding but a reboot sorts it. I'm tempted to send it for repair but half of me thinks its just buggy release firmware.

The odd thing is I wasn't using it at all, and nothing was running. It was just sitting there with a dark screen and all of a sudden the boot screen came on.
If we were seeing lots of posts like yours I'd agree it's probably a common problem, but in your case I'd swap the phone. I'll definitely be monitoring closely.
Mine has rebooted twice in week and a half of owning, and also sense crashes about once a day, i go to unlock and its the HTC white screen the sense comes up loading....
I also have problem with restarting/reloading. However, it is a bit different situation. I get white screen and sense UI (and maybe everything else I didn't check yet) reloads. By my observations, it happens after I do stuff on a phone for a very long time (1 to 3 hrs). After such extensive use phone becomes even hot to the touch at the bottom of the screen. Then all of the sudden when I exit some program to go back to sense UI I get white screen and sense UI reloads.
I had the same issue with my first two sensations. I found out tho it was because of the 16GB SD that I was using from my MyTouch 4G. Once I reformatted the card inside of the sensation it never rebooted again.

oh really? i may try this.
Coming from the LG G2x and leaving with reboots as one of my main issues, this is extremely disheartening news!!! I hope HTC releases a firmware update soon as the G2x was pretty obvious that it was a hardware issue since the Optimus 2X STILL suffers from the issue with no word from LG about a fix coming.

Sounds to me like there's more than one cause of reboots. I'm using the stock SD and my phone doesn't get warm. I haven't seen Sense restart and I wasn't using it when it rebooted.
I have ordered a 16Gb SD though so appreciate the tip.
It's good to keep this thread going. I'll update with any new developments.
I've had 4 Sensations and my wife has 1. Not one has rebooted or had Sense restart/reboot. Might be a certain couple of apps causing it.

I really think that sense ui looks amazing...but i wish it would have came with Android 2.3.4 AOSP/Nexus S style...I guarantee half the stuff that's wrong wouldn't be an issue.

Same here too!
I have not tried yet the factory reset.
Also mine has a very weak gsm signal compared with other phones. Practically I have 0 signal where other have full!
Had the same issue so I formatted my SD card. Had no issues for the last 6 days. no reboots, nothing. Sence 3 has so far only crashed when messing around with unsuported 3d games, but that is my fault. Sence is very stable.

I had that issue as well. Getting from tmo a new sim card solved that issue for me.
I have three sensations on my account. I got all three at the same time. I noticed mine was rebooting couple times a day while the other two were not rebooting. So I exchanged mine and got the replacement about a week ago. So far no reboots at all. I would say if it is bothering you and if it is rebooting pretty often then you should exchange it.

I bought Sensation the first day it came out. And I went back Tmobile store for exchanged due to this issue. (which means this is the second phone)
Both phones have the same issues: Keep restarting itself!
My phone may restart for about 5~10 times a day.
It happens whenever I'm quitting a program (ex: Facebook, Contacts, MAP..etc) and it just restart itself to a white background with HTC logo screen. (T-mobile welcome screen "stick together" does NOT show up at this situation)
I'm wondering if anyone having the same issues with me. This has bothered me way too much! Should I exchange for a new one or just need patient for the update

The 5-10 reboots per day is not normal. Mine rebooted once in the 7 days that I've had it.
What you are experiencing is a soft reboot. Try factory resetting, if it doesn't help, by all means take it back.
i think this is just an Android OS problem , my brother has a THUNDERBOLT on verizon and he gets random reboots all the time ,same for his wifes droid x , hers is phucked , it restarted three times in three hours when i was by their house the other day and his once , my sensation has rebooted itself three times in two weeks so i guess i cant complain
Your phone isn't rebooting, it is Sense that is rebooting. The app or apps that you are using are using up too much memory to keep Sense running in the background. Instead of not allowing you to use your apps, your phone is freeing up space by disabling Sense. Try using the back key to exit out of applications instead of the home key. This kills the app rather than leaving it active in the background.
Either way, I'm not saying there isn't something wrong with your phone, there very well may be. I haven't had that issue at all, but two phones with the same exact issue leads me to think it is, atleast in part, a user-caused issue. Good luck man.

Does anyone have the problem where all the original posts are fine but when you scroll down to where it has to update, it shows all those updates as text only without pictures or anything.

Your not going crazy bud. I think were all getting the same thing. I bet Facebook is going to release another update... just a matter of time.

Facebook is working fine for me here.
My FB app is 2 versions old and I'm having the same issues. On top of it, my pull to refresh just decided it doesnt want to work anymore.

Same problem here. I noticed it happening before this update but just not as much.
After I updated I started noticing the same thing (just text). I went to my settings and just reverted all the updates back and will wait until the Facebook app is fixed. Works better now, but chat won't load.
Mine did this the first day after updating, just tested it again and I'm not having any issues.

Facebook on the computer is all screwed up for me, not just my phone. Notifications aren't working, I can't see comments, etc... Doesn't matter if its the app, phone browser or computer browser. Not sure what is going on.
My original skyrocket was replaced with a factory refurb after taking an unfortunate plunge that shattered the screen. I wasted no time and flashed the newest batch of roms. Everything worked well for the first few days but now my camera is intermittently either unavailable or the camera app forecloses. The thing that is odd is that despite using different recoveries and flashing different roms with completely different bases (and making damn well sure the caches are flushed) I still have the same issue. Even with odin back to stock I still randomly don't have the camera. Usually after an overnight charge the camera returns... but only for a few hours at most.
Could this be some sort of corruption or is my camera physically broken?
*edit* flashed all the way back to stock GB with the same issue. I'm pretty sure its the camera
I have this same issue. I have found that after being on a ROM for a few days the camera, magically returns to full functionality until i flash another ROM. I'm not sure what the problem is.

So my camera no longer works on my phone for some reason. It either goes to a black screen, a grey screen, says cant connect to camera, or says gallery stopped responding or it has a really fuzzy and oddly colored picture and then freezes. Also, the gallery is extremely laggy and force closes at times as well. This has happened to me on AOKP, Viper, Cleanrom, and Dirty rom (Nocturnal). One time I was able to switch it to front facing camera, which seems to work ok.
Does anyone have any ideas what this could be or how to fix?

On stock/locked HOXL, I had gallery stop on me occassionally; but when I would try gallery again, it would let me in. Can't say I had the other troubles though. So far on ViperXL, haven't had any issues yet
Yeah. Usually easy fixes tho. Already wiped cache and reflashed cleanly. So Idk what the deal is. My fear is it is hardware related.
