Hi there, I would like to solve the problem with my HTC One S S4. From the OTA update to Jelly Bean my phone started to do unexpecting actions. First of all, it started to dischranging and charging very quickly. When I have for example 15% of battery, after 30 seconds phone says I have about 9% and in the next 15 seconds I am out of battery power. The same thing is charging. I am charging battery for an hour to charge about 30% and then in the next 5 minutes it´s charget to 100. That gives me no sense.
The second thing is random shutting down. I noticed it´s more sensitive to shutdown when I want to do something with my SIM card (calling, accesing in mobile internet, but that´s not the rule). After shut down I have significantly less battery power ( from 65% I have about 20%). Sometimes it counts wrong and I have more power then a few minutes before (not 20 but for example 32).
I have flashed Recovery and Fastboot, loaded Custom ROMs MaximuS 2.5 and Trickdroid 9.1, but that didn´t help.
How can I fix that ? Thank you

I know there are a few threads on the battery levels being a bit random at times, but mine is really hacking me off.
It will stop at say 75% and just stay there, when I reboot its down to like 50% or less. Twice now its gone dead because I though it had plenty of charge but just wasn't moving.
Is it the phone or battery thats the problem or drivers or something - ps this is on a standard rom, no tweaks etc.
same here.im using romeos rom but it seems to be a problem with another roms to.the battery % stay (for example) 10 hrs 68 % and after reset dropt 5,10,15 % down . is it hardware problem or software ?
And quite same here... The case is a bit worse even. When I charge it from lo-bat warning to full, it sort of overcharges itself and might hang up even! I noticed this in two phases - 1) when I left my TP to charge during night, it was hanged in the morning 2) when charging from lo-batt and restarting at ~85% bat level, after boot up the battery reports something at 98% or something!
I have the same (all posts) some time I have 78% and make reset and now i have 89%. Which is real 78 or 89%!??
when I charge all night I have only 70-92% after 6 hours, and after reset 100%
For me this is unusable as I cant trust it without constantly rebooting which is not good enough.
Lucky for me its a second phone, so I'll flog it and think of something else.
Hi there!
I have the same problem, after charging over night. The battery indicator shows, that a battery is not fully charged. After short removing battery and rebooting it shows 100%. With another HTC battery it is the same. When I use another spare battery (not original HTC), it works correctly. But I dont like the spare battery, because it is hard to remove from device because of its sharp edges. I think, it is a HW problem of battery, or a problem of device.
Hello, I have a HOX with Clean Rom 1.1 it acts very buggy and will randomly restart, at times and be unresponsive. Then when the battery completely dies it will only charge by PC till it hits like 10 or 15 percent.
The current condition of the phone is that it is completely charged it has not randomly restarted in 4 days but thats because I took the SIM card out and it doesn't run the battery out. I was curious if I have a setting that is causing this or if flashing the kernel or another ROM might alleviate my problem.
Hey guys, I'm having a problem with my battery. I get a normal amount of time out of it, but the battery indicator is behaving oddly. I can use the phone normally throughout the day and it seems as if it's discharging as it should, but when it reaches 22 - 20% it will stay there for a very long time (about 2-3 hours of screen on time) and suddenly shut off. No shutdown, just off. Won't power on again until I plug it in. Once I plug it in and turn it back on, the battery indicates that it has 1% and seems to charge like normal.
I have never noticed it before I flashed Liquid Smooth 2.8, so I believe it might be a ROM issue. It happens on the stock CM kernel and on KT747. I have already wiped battery stats and upgraded to Liquid Smooth 2.9. I would rather not flash to another ROM as I really like Liquid. It's a very smooth ROM.
Please help me out. Thanks.

Had the same issue, too.
Phone went off, mostly when trying to wake or unlock.
happened with sense and aosp roms.
Turned out that the battery behaved weird (also using Anker).
Just changing battery (still have stock one) seemed to solve the issue.
What I did was as follows:
- boot into bootloader and let the phone untouched until it shuts down due to low battery
- charge battery while phone is off till led is green + 1hour
- unplug, boot and after it has booted switch off phone again
- charge battery for another hour
Currently no issues with my Anker battery

keep a piece of business card (I kept a panadol strip) between the top of the battery housing and the battery.
SIMPLE AS THAT

Can anyone suggest what is happening here please with Mate9?
My phone has a new battery for last 6 months after original battery started swelling and expanding the phone case. New battery works like original except very occasionally, maybe once a month, the battery runs down faster than normal. It might normally last 36 hours whereas once in a while it would run down in 12 hours - last time the usage attributed high power consumption by Huawei Health app, but I don't know if this was culprit before. HOWEVER, when I plug in charger the phone doesn't charge but continues to run down. If I turn it off it doesn't charge but continues to run down. Then if I wait a few hours with it turned off it then acts normally and recharges 100% in 90 minutes in the turned off state for a full 36hrs++ usage when powered on again.
So what is wrong? Just and old phone needs replacing?
