[Q] Change Icon in lockscreen slider - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

Hi there, I recently flashed to a slimrom ROM and it changed the icon on the slide lockscreen to the slimrom logo. Is there a way to change that back to the more vanilla style of a simple padlock that opens and closes when you touch it? In general what is the way to change the lockscreen slider icon.

Guys check out the REDEMPTION ROM ,it has the theme built in and its fast and smooth

Where do themes install to?

I'm on cm10 and i installed a theme via theme chooser. I don't like the data icons and want to change them but i can't find them in the framework it system ui. Anyone know where else to look?

I'm thinking it's probably not as easy as just changing them out. Maybe they're in res\layout\status_bar.xml
.. i'm digging around the systemui to see if I can find anything else.

Indeed i did, there are lots of data traffic icons in both the framework.apk and systemui.apk, but none of them match the data traffic icons for this theme, which is now i know I'm not looking in the right place. Someone must know!

Theme chooser themes should install to /data/app. For example, if you installed my theme, you would see it at /data/app/com.m4570d0n. theme.M4570M0D.apk
Haha, wow. Didn't even think about looking in the themes .apk.

ROM Toolbox Pro & Others

I use ROM ToolBoxPro. Now I want to customize my status bar icons. When I install certain things like the battery, it doesn't change. Was wondering if you guys can tell me why. Also tried changing the status bar color itself through ROM toolbox and it does not work. Would any of you guys happen to know how to make it work or maybe another app that can help me customize stuff like that? Also looking for icon packages. Thanks.

Does your ROM use Themes? If not it's probably not going to work no matter what app you use. If your rom does support themes then I don't really know. Sorry if I'm not much help.

How will I know if my ROM supports themes? Will say on the ROM thread?
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
It usually does say if it does or doesn't in the thread. If not you can always ask.
Sent from my SGH-I897 using Tapatalk 2
I believe in order for any themes to work it has to be completely deodexed. I know it doesn't work CyanogenMod and I believe it's because it works with it's own theme engine which you can download themes for with the ROM Toolbox. Otherwise, the only ROM I've got to work with it was a stock deodexed ROM.

like it could on cm7 roms because of the way jb is setup
with different names of the icons
i could be wrong hopefully someone with more knowledge will jump in

If running on S3 coming from Note must have S3 updater script in zip. Also if running TWRP must have the right zipalign. The old zipalign that you find in the International CWM zips will not work. Both of these problems will cause the theme not to stick. Will say it flashed but will not change anything.

The ROM is fast and smooth and I definitely like this theme over the stock one. Thanks for all the hard work!
2 little things that I've noticed so far:
1. Brightness/Adjustment sliders don't have the "brushed metal" ball look like the screen captures on the theme page (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2080046). What's there are the blue sliders but it has the small blue ball instead of the larger metal-looking ball.
2. The Clear button on the Notifications pull-down is there but doesn't have the word "Clear" in the box.
That's all I've seen so far. Haven't completed setting everything up so I'll post back if I find anything else.

100% Transparent Status Bar (3rd Party Launchers) CM10.2 for D800 ATT

All,
I compiled a SystemUI.apk and Android.policy.jar CWM/TWRP Zip Flashable for 80% or 100% Transparent Status Bar.
Two are made from the 2013-11-01 Nightly and 1 is made for the M1 Snapshot so I would flash each on the correct nightly.
Two are made from the M1 Snapshot (2013-11-02) is also below for those that have upgraded to that...
Here is a screenshot of 80% and 100%. The 100% is as expected completely transparent on 3rd Party Launchers!!!! Enjoy!!
Would you mind making them for the snapshot M1 build?
Thanks!

Thats because the app has a white bar at the top. if I open different apps it is different color. Like when I open Evernote, it is black, and if I open Dialer, it is Dark Grey. I think the best thing might be to do the 80% version in case you have white Icons like I do. Hopefully, devs will take advantage of this and rewrite their apps to allow for transparent Status Bar.
Just flashed it and wanted to confirm that it works. Thank you for this.

You can try (I wouldn't) but as long as there wasn't any Framework changes in the last couple of nightlies it should be OK. I will make a new version when M2 comes out.
