Hi everyone, i am using a rom that i am very happy with. as of tonight as Turkey we are passing to 3G technology. should I change my rom to a 3G one or is it just a CAB issue that can be easily solved? (like installing a 3G dialer CAB)

what i wanted to ask is: to use a 3G dialer do I have to change my ROM or is it enough to install the necessary dialer?
This 3d is going to be closed/moved since is not related to ROM develpment, but maybe one more tech info could be useful for you: 3G does not necessarily mean video calls. This protocol allow even video calls but this feature will remain up to your carrier operator.
3G dialer is only needed for video calls. 3G protocol implementation is embedded in almost all radio ROMs, so you can connect to your 3G network just with your actual dialer (and enjoy a faster data transfer).

If you need video calls you can easily change you dialer installing a 3G one. In this case you shoud find out a video dialer that works properly with your ROM (it requires some tests).
Some chefs have ROMs with an embedded dialer supporting video calls. In this case the compatibility is almost out of discussion

I have recently updated my TC to W6.1 and these are the details I get on the phone.
ROM Version: 3.13.405.0 WWE
ROM Date: 08/21/08
Radio Version: 1.59.42.15
Just wanted to have expert comments whether everything is upto date on my phone or not. Also, since update I recon some issue with touch system, its responding slow .. is it something related with update.

ok... mmm if you use the forum you will see that there is a WM6.5 and you have 6.1 so, what you mean with up to date?
I recommend you to use the search function and a bit of your brain capacity to proses the information and take your own conclusions based on you own questions, and when you get to and end point that IS NOT ANSWERED IN THE FORUM, go ahead and make the shoot....

When I type in the registration keys I'm told they're incorrect. Most of the apps I'm trying to instal are the same ones I had on my previous phone the Tilt 2 so I know I have the keys right. One issue that perhaps might be causing this, is there being no where to fill in the owner's information for the phone. All I can do to identify myself as the owner of this phone is to fill out the contact card in the phonebook. If this indeed is the cause of my problems how do I remedy it? Hi folks, I have some problems concerning messages in Android 2.3.4 (mod version Xmarex Bologna V.4 CM7). In particular, recently, I have received sms from my contacts but at the moment of replying them, in the contact number field appears before the number some strange characters: 2+ or N+. So, this characher added to numbers make it wrong. See attached figure for additional details.

I spoke to HTC india today they were saying Sensation XE has a 2.3.5 update with Sense 3.5 update as of now in india.. my device is still running 2.3.4 and Sense 3.0.. does any one know about this? can u please help me update my device?

Go in settings -> about phone -> software update -> check now ... And see if there's any update available.
If no then call them again

However our technical department is working on the latest updates for HTC Sensation XE device, and as soon as the updates are rolled out on FOTA, you will be given a notification on your device, as of now we cannot commit any date for the software release.
Currently HTC Sensation XE is running on Android OS, version 2.3.5 (Gingerbread) with sense 3.5. The upcoming Android OS version is 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) with sense version 4.0.

Phone software updates From time to time, software updates for your phone may be available. Your phone can check and then notify you if there is a new update. Make sure that you have backed up the information and files you want to keep. The battery should be charged to a minimum at 35% or above. You should have a free space of 512 MB (recommended) on the memory card in your device.

Checking for phone system software updates manually.

The upcoming sense 4.0 update? That doesn't mean for the sensation does it... It's either a very confusing email or that HTC guy doesnt know his facts...

MOD EDIT: Watch your atitude!!
Even I was told about 2.3.5 upgrade is available and was asked to visit service center to get this upgrade on my XE. To my surprise service center guy told me that no such update is available and they even do not have any information on that. I called up customer care from service center and asked that guy to talk to cust care rep... funny enough both the guys were fighting on call. This is pathetic for HTC
These customer care folks are idiots , they have now sent an apology mail stating there is no 2.3.5 update with sense 3.5 ,They said htc had made it available but stopped it as all are getting ICS,, and have no clue when ICS is hitting us? i have a flyer as well where i am expecting a Honeycomb update from 140 days till today.. so keep waiting for those ^&^&^ to respond.
