Hello there,
I am not too sure if this is a vague questions however I was wondering if an Asus Transformer tablet can be made dual bootable with Android and Windows 7?
Has any one tried or thought of it or heard about it or if it do-able, please let me know.
Cheers,
Ashish
No. I believe our tabs run ARM, whilst Windows is coded to run on x86/64 architecture.
Thanks Chris, for your reply. is there a possibility to dual boot Android and Windows Phone 7 on Asus Transformer?
Thanks in advance,
Ashish
no WP7 is closed source. It also only supports 512 mb ram and a single core processor
It's exactly this sort of naive question that means Microsoft will able to sell more than 10 Windows 8 tablets.
It won't run Windows 7 because it runs ARM CPU. And Windows 8 tablets won't run windows applications for the very same reason.
Why do you guys want windows 7 on a tablet? I have played once with Win 7 tablet and it's pretty awkward though it's very nice to have the programs you use on your PC.
Hi,
I just wondered if there is any possibility to have Windows 8 (RT) on the TF300. It's no big loss if it's impossible, but it would be interesting to know if and why it will, or will not work.
I know that the Tegra 3 SoC will work, I know that the bootloader is open, I know that it's possible to boot other ARM-operatingsystems such as GNU/Linux and I know that it's possible to work around UEFI.
So will we see Windows RT on the TF300 in the near future?

Hi, I am not professional but as I read the new Win 8 released last night is compatible to ARM processors and transformers have ARM processor!
Is it possible to install Win 8 on a asus transformer.
please guide me
thank you
No, it's not possible. Windows 8 is not Windows RT. The processor would be compatible with RT, but the rest of the hardware is not, and you cannot buy Windows RT without the hardware it is preinstalled on anyway.
And Windows 8 RT needs an special locked boodloader (like the Ipad for example).
But maybe there will some day ab cracked windows 8 rt version wich run on devices without an secure bootloader. But my personal meening is, that the TF101 will never run windows rt. It is an old Android Tablet with old hardware and the Tf101 community shrinks.
Hey guys,
So I've been searching for a tablet and wanted to buy a TF300T in new condition but they're not available near me anymore. Not really a fan of online shopping so I've set my eyes on the Memo Pad Smart 10". I see the specs are almost identical to the TF300T except for the camera. Is the Memo Pad Smart 10 a good idea and will the Roms from the TF300T development section preferably CM 10.2 for TF300T work with this tablet?
Is there anyway you can install Windows 10 on this device?
Nope nope nope. There are no tf101 hardware drivers for Windows

Sadly - maybe because what they wrote was true at the time? - there have been a number of categorical, completely incorrect, replies to this question. I OWN an ASUS EEE tf101 powered by an Intel x86 "Atom" CPU. It was (originally) provided with Windows 7 installed. I ALSO own an ASUS EEE tf101 that's powered by an Nvidia Tegra - it runs Google Android "Ice Cream Sandwich". Yes, I'm a bit of an anorak when it comes to the EEE series. (I also own the SL101 "Slider"!) So, rabbiting on about "Windows RT" rather misses the point. (Yes, I also own a couple of "Surface RT" tablets!) I stumbled upon this thread looking for drivers to upgrade my ("Intel Inside") transformer from Windows 7 to Windows 10.
As of right now, I cannot state categorically that I'll find the drivers I need (drivers for the physical keyboard) and therefore cannot (unlikce some) categorically state that it is NOT possible to install Windows 10 on an EEE tf101, but it certainly IS possible to run WIndows 7. Becaus ASUS made both Intel Atom and Nvidia Tegra versions on the TF101.
Update:- a GOOD place to look for my missing drivers seems to be the Microsoft Forum (e.g. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...touchpad/d954a1a0-b206-4611-9e60-9fddddd90ee0 or https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...ter-fall/ac0ac2c7-937b-4e83-be99-ae5af4c9a434)
