Alright so I picked up a LG Optimus Logic L35 from Net10 for a Friend, I've obtained Root, Installed CWM, Made a Nandroid and have been playing with CM9 for the LG L3 E400 which is the same exact phone except it has the International GSM Bands vs the ATT 850 & 1900.
CM9 runs just as stable as it does on my Touchpad or Skyrocket but unlike with my Skyrocket there is no radio for me to flash so I have no Modem when I boot into CM9, is there a way to dump the stock LG Radio or Extract it? Can it be extracted from the Source Code that I downloaded from LG? I know many people are able to with the Samsung devices but I totally understand all phones can be different. I've used the SDK and have built roms from the AOSP but am still pretty new
Any help is greatly appreciated

lg optimus logic low on space problem
Can anyone help me increase the storage on my LG l35g straight talk optimus logic the phone is rooted but no rom has been installed. I realize this is a low level phone, but it would be nice to utilize the sd card to store apps. As it is now I am very limited in the amount of apps that can be installed. This seems to be a common problem, but after much searching i have failed to find an answer to this problem. I am new to android so please be precise.
Net10 Lg L35G unlock
Our granddaughter in Czech Republic has her heart set on a Net10 Lg L35G Optima. She wanted a white phone and this is the only one I could find. Is there any way to unlock the phone to be used in Europe only and change the firmware to one that will accommodate language change? I understand a similar phone Europe model LG L3 E400. Don't know how to, but will follow direction. Phone has never been activated. Can anyone educate me or point me in the right direction?
Hey would like to say thanks for the dev of this phone and great job on the mods. Love your work!

Why not download the cm9 source from github, port the vendor specific folders over to the l35g, recompile, and try a flash?

I've decided that I would love the customization stuff in Cyanogen7, so I'd like to root, flash and install a custom ROM. I'd love to have the customization of CM7 vs the stock Froyo I have from WIND. Right now, there is no crapware, and the phone is quite fast. The only thing that I wish worked is the Skype front camera, which is supposedly to work in Gingerbread. Apart from that, everything works great. I am afraid to lose the functionality, so I'd like if someone has the WIND LG with CM7, to try to answer if there are any issues with the following points:
* phone of course
* GPS, Google Maps, Market, Messaging
* both cameras, 1080p recording and HDMI output
* video talk in Skype
Also, feel free to leave a short feedback about CM7 and a recommendation. Thanks.
Skype front camera doesn't work in Gingerbread... GTalk video chat works on CM though.

Does that generally mean that there is no problem with the lack of Nvidia's code? Does that mean Microsoft's to blame?
Skype just needs updating to support nVidia camera
OK, I'm assuming all the above works. If the general procedure is to root, flash, install, when does the unlocking of the phone happen? Also, do you need to upgrade to 2.3 stock, before loading CM7, or ca you do it off 2.2?
Also, since no one has said anything about the points above, are there ANY bugs with CM7 or EB?
Also, is there a unified guide to custom ROM loading from stock?
Does everyone use this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1060715 ?
Hello fellow WIND user.
I am using CM7 nightly build 123 on my G2X and almost everything works fine. Save for the camera issue stated earlier and the impossibility of getting a GPS lock. I have tried several 'fixes' posted in the forums for this issue but I can't seem to get GPS lock regardless.
I still recommend switching away from stock ROM because it grants your device more flexibility and possibly a longer battery life.
Rooting and installing a custom ROM does not unlock your phone. You will still need to obtain an unlock code from either WIND (free after 3 months I think) or the web (for a price).
You do not need to upgrade your Android OS before flashing. The OS is part of the ROM you will be flashing onto your device. You will however, need to root, backup, and wipe your device. Just follow the guides on the forum which you have found.
If the wind version is the same procedure-wise, rooting is a redundant step. Installing CWM via nvflash does not require root. Once that is installed, you may backup, restore, and flash to your heart's content.

Is this issue universal across all custom roms with p999, or just with CM7, or just with you? Can an EB or another CM7 chime in? Wouldn't EB be more stable than CM, since it is not rewritten?

So, intuitively speaking:
1. Install CWM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1056847
I'm not familiar with the terminology, can you point out the helping threads about backing up, restoring and flashing?
Also, can the whole procedure be done on Linux, or do I have to install VBox?
You can do it from Linux. You just type some commands in a terminal to push an img file over to the phone.
Backup/Restore is a menu option in the clockwork recovery. Pretty straight forward stuff.
Flashing just on your phone just entails downloading the rom file (zip format) to your SD card and going in clockwork recovery and selecting it (flash zip from SD) via the menu.
Quick steps
-NVFlash
-Backup
-Download CM7 to SD
-Flash CM7
After you flash CM7 you'll have root access thus allowing you to use easier methods of downloading and flashing using Rom Manager

And by backup, you mean this? source: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1060715
Perform a Nandroid Backup of your Phone (Optional but suggested before you flash any ROM or make any O/S changes):
1. Bootup to NvFlashed Clockwork Recovery using the button method.
2. Choose backup/restore and run a backup.
3. This will save the backup to your internal or external SD Card depending on which version of CWM you selected in the One-Click App.

Yes, I did 2.3.5.
GPS is fine. Battery is good. Camera is OK, but LG one was better. I haven't recorded HD to see if there's a sound mismatch, yet. Is there 1080p? Assuming change after the official LG 2.3

In short, go for it. I bought the phone back in late June, had CM7 running on it a few hours later, and haven't looked back. I've currently got nightly #123 along with Faux's undervolted DS battery driver kernel and am very happy with the responsiveness, the added features, and so on. There's been a slowdown in nightlies recently due to a problem with the repository, but the features being prepared in the interim will continue to refine what is already a great phone. Battery life is way, way up compared to stock, thanks to refinements in the kernel and using SetCPU profiles to cut power use when the screen is off.
Messaging is fine, although I'm using Handcent rather than stock. Maps is fast (GPS aside) and the camera is good (again, using aftermarket, currently Vignette). I've only recently begun to use video talk - Skype doesn't support this phone yet but Google Talk now works. There are some issues, of course. The GPS continues to be slow - locks range from 10-20 seconds outdoors in an open space to virtually never indoors (in places where my older, cheaper phone did lock).
Tv
Yeah, yeah... CM7
Honestly, this ROM goes over the roof when it comes to customization.
Hi!
(Mods, please correct me if this thread must not be placed here.)
My motive is to gain people to help us with this Korean Device. I'm located in the Philippines (I'm a Filipino) and bought the unit with a Korean Friend. I spent hours of searching the net hoping to avail help from developers. I found only few. Most of them in Korean/Chinese language translated using Google translator.
Its been several months now since i bought this, I'm still enjoying my phone despite of it being different (atleast for me who lives in the Philippines and in XDA-Community), compared to P920 who are in this forum. I struggled from upgrading it from Froyo (2.2) to Gingerbread (2.3.5 v20e), believe me, my fingers are crossed when i have the guts to update it, for i couldn't manage to fix it in case it bricked. I Really envy guys who uses P920, they have all the resources from great people here in this forum.
If you are a User of this phone or atleast know something how to upgrade or develop it for the benefit of us noob people (atleast me). Please help a user like me by posting your contribution here.
My contributions: (Problems and the help i found)
If you have a better solutions, please contribute. These are based on my noob experience, please don't laugh at me..
1. Upgrading
There was a thread here who used P920 flash for their SU760, it bricked their phone. I dont know if it was unbricked, how he did that? thats why we need a thread like this. In english.. he he..
As for me, I used the official LG Software Update Agent. It worked like a charm. As a precaution, i backed up all my data, but to my surprise after the upgrade, All programs remained intact! That was from Froyo 2.2 to Gingerbread 2.3.5 v20C...
I have to admit, for me, the 2.2 runs faster and had few problems as a comparison to the 2.3.5. Last week, a Root worked for the v20C, so i Rooted mine. Too exited noob as i was, i accidentally uninstalled minor system app. This drive me to update again using LG Software Update Agent again. And it did! now my software version is 2.3.5 v20e, official software.
If anyone who has a better experience than this or who has an upgraded software than i have, please help me.
2. Rooting
As i mentioned, A week ago, from korean/chinese site (i almost learned their language! lol!) they said in the past they were not successful in rooting v20c or v20e. The Rooting software was capable of rooting v20C and v20E (among others)
The Post for SU-760 came from here.
http://bbs.gfan.com/android-3717040-1-1.html
but then soon, i read from xda developers that it came from this Author
http://vulnfactory.org/blog/2012/02/26/rooting-the-lg-thrill-optimus-3d/
3. 80 Character SMS
This is what drives me crazy about this phone. In my usage, it only sends 80 Characters not the standard 160. I must limit my SMS to 80 characters or else, the message will be broken. I used Go SMS in this setting. I learned that Korean system uses 2 bits compared to our single bit, that's why it only sends 80.
Handset SMS miraculously solved this problem. (i wish it will be the same with GoSMS)
4. Stock Aps
These are killing the RAM usage! This what motivated me to root my device in the first place, and what drove me to accidentally remove system apps. I used the System App Remover to remove them. Maybe Ill use other app next time.
TV w/ Antenna
It never worked here, I also tried it in Manila (the major city in the Philippines), did'nt worked. I wonder if anyone managed to make this work!
Someone Please Help Me:
How to put/upgrade to a custom rom. (So i will be freed from stock apps)
How to Upgrade or Change Baseband. I really dont know much about this but i have a feeling i need to match it for Philippine usage. I wish to have an H instead of 3g connection. a Getril app didnt worked as of the time i posted this. I emailed the author, if i get help, ill post it here.
So far, these are the major issues I encountered, ill just add later if i have more time and recalled some more problem i fixed.
My helps came from Korean and Chinese forum, the translation is very very hard to understand! If there are Korean / Chinese people in this forum who could help us, please do so, atleast in English Language please.
hey dude! you can root official V20E ,right now no rom better than official V20E for poor LG SU760.

Thanks... yap, i was able to root the official 20E.. pity my SU760.. i wish there would be more user of this phone to surface around this thread..
tiger, you are from china... is there any cooked rom you could recommend just to free myself from the logo and other pre installed app of the "T mobile?"
Thanks alot for posting, atleast im not alone (using SU760) in the universe of XDA-Developers.

Hi All you Guys,
Heres my experience..
Jump Start
As you see I'm also from Philippines too and just had this Device as gift for my Wife almost a month ago (its around my budget that time and its 3D). I got it first using GB and I just updated it using V30B.kdz that I found floating around the web - Here (if you happen to cant download it you can use any proxy known to man to by pass limitations) using LG Flashtool (pretty much automagically and easy) - Here. Back then my Wife is as happy as child. But all has its limit. After update my Wife noticed performance issues, lagging and too much wait times. So I decided to root it using - This but be sure to use v1.6 and to open it use 7zip app for Windows (Google it). After Rooting first off to do was to Install Busybox and try out V6supercharger, w/c eventually made progress and made the phone quite snappy. No problems, redraws and slowdowns encountered from my Wife except that I cant stop to look at the Custom Roms available for SU760 and personally I still think its still too slow from a device having good Dualcore CPU and decent GPU.
Customization
Reviewed a while, talked to some people and downloaded necessary tools and apps. Target was to flash XBSAv5.2 - Here (yes this works on our SU760). First I got many Bricks and Bootloops but able to resurrect my device using this guide - Here and then found out that it would be safe and easier having the x-loader and u-boot made by wkpark, download this (the loaders were inside /files and /resigned, but if you have trouble locating those you could try this pack - Here) and follow this Guide and use this recovery Pesach85 gave me - Here. After all those stuffs I finally able to boot at recovery anytime during bootup, simply press Vol Down while on the Silver LG Logo boot screen and it will launch TWRP, from there you could flash XBSA v5.2 and if you want to try PH85 Kernel on SU760 download this version Pesach85 gave me - Here. Final touch was to apply the build.prop patch located at XBSA ROM's OP and to use the Original V30B Camera - Here. Thats all I did on my O3D SU760 and now somehow it became fast enough having Camera load for just 5 seconds.
Note: My Wife's setup is
Launcher: Go Launcher
Locker: Go Locker
Sms: Go SMS
Social Apps: Facebook, FB Messenger, Tweeter, YouTube
Settings: 3G when needed, WiFi at Home, All Social Apps Notifier ON, All Sync are ON
She get those setup and ask me why her phone slows down.. Tsk women..
Internal SD Card memory is still working after flashing XBSA v5.2 rom?
My experience was not good with that rom so I never tried again even after 30B official upgrade.

and i am unable to root using existing method, like superoneclick or megatron
i am using windows 7 64bit
No with stock android recovery.
You could try the V21E FLS/bin smartflash. Though you might not have network after that if your kernel isn't compatible. (You might need to install proper rom that can support it after), see my signature link, the links to the fls/bin are in there.

I am not a pro at installing android os. I am 16. I recently installed Cyanogenmod 10 (Android 4.1) on my phone (LG Optimus One) and I can't call. I use Simple Mobile. Whenever I try to call, it says,"Mobile Network not available". If you don't know a way to fix this. Can you show me how to put it back into Froyo 2.2?
Seems you are on old baseband and you have flashed a rom which is based on new baseband. Just search for ' old bb fix ' and flash this from your recovery. You will get back your network.

Nvm, I got it. I have the same problem for the Galaxy S2 model t989 too. It dropped in the water, then it can't read the sim card. So can you give me a link to old bb fix for S2 T989 plz? Thank you.
Ok, apparently, I installed a different old bb fix and now that doesn't work , then I installed the one you gave to me but then it didn't work. So I am stuck again. Please help.
goto settings, abouth phone and read what is your baseband, if it's v10 that is old, if its v20 it is new,
if it is old update via LGMDP to latest version 2.3 GB(if PC doesn't recognize your phone, boot into recovery, conect usb cable an from advance/mounts mount usb), install, reboot, now you'll have fresh oficial GB, root with Superoneclick latest version(maybe you will need to do it few times, for me it didn't go first time, if I remember it was at 3rd time or so), install CWM trough RomManager and after that you are good to go with what ever you want to put in that phone, anyway, all ccustom roms from 2.3.7 are for newbb
No longer own this phone, and no longer have a copy of the rom so this is no longer being developed.
Thanks to @shifattk and @FitAmp for the overclock
Thanks to @Restl3ss, who is working on a rooted and overclocked, otherwise bone stock ROM
Thanks to @atmu5fear, who made the first flashable rom for the S730M, I based my Rom off your original release.
changes I made from the stock 4.04 image
Rooted
BusyBox
Overclocked to 1000mhz
Nova Launcher
Default Ringtone: Crank
Disabled power on and power off boot sounds
Bloat Removed
Theme Changes
Zipaligned
Replaced Samsung keyboard with the google keyboard (much better IMHO)
Stable
Working and tested. Tested on a S730M as well as a S730G
Flashing instructions:
1. Use CWM 6.0.3.1 Get it here https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B1BxFtN0QItNUExLMHBWT1loQjg/edit?usp=sharing, flash with Odin)
2. Make a backup, if things go wrong for you, you cause use the backup to restore your phone's original firmware.
3. WIPE DATA/CACHE
4. Flash
5. Wipe Dalvik.
6. Reboot
NOTE: I can not and will not be responsible for any damage this rom could potentially cause on your phone, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caveat_emptor
Download Version 1.0 here

It's a nifty little phone. I personally think it's better than a Nexus S but just suffers from the typical Samsung pump and dump routine where they sold all their inventory to the carriers then stopped supporting it with any updates.
Good job! I have 3 versions of the stock ROM available for this device as well, may have been more appropriate for a base, there's stock, stock + root + Busybox, stock + root + Busybox + overclock. Find them here

If the cricket model you have is a GSM version then yes it should so long as its a S730M or S730G. If its a CDMA model then no.

It doesnt take a sim card so no GSM. Is there any other ROMs that you would know of? We are kind of stuck out with this model, it kinda sucks lol.

You may be able to use the same CWM recovery on that model,
you should be able to probably use the same kernel to overclock your model too, and you can probably use the kitchen app we used to cook these different version roms for the 730M and 730G models to do your own custom rom, just remember before you start working, to do a full nandroid backup of the current rom so you can restore it back to the original (mostly stock except for the cwm recovery) firmware if you need to later on.
By any chance this will unlock it or do you know a way for me to get the unlock using hex?
Thanks to doctor evil for this ROM I was able to flash my phone but not before removing more apps (bell apps and oothers ).
I was wondering if anyone was successful in unlocking the tethering? Tried a few things out there and the best I could get was Bluetooth tethering with foxfi.
And it works!
@doctor_evil: I flashed your set after having played with @atmu5fear's version (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2673097). I like them both very much and am still looking which one I will keep. I have not wiped data/cache (i.e. Factory Reset) before overlaying your version over @atmu5fear's one, and it did not hurt. I noticed the following:
Flashing your ROM did not again trip the ROM counter after applying the triangleaway script after @atmu5fear's ROM load (it did go off then).
When having a SIM in the S730M and after putting in the phone unlock password, the keyboard stays on top (this does not happen when no SIM is present)
My Battery-drain problem when having the phone powered fully off with a SIM installed is still there. Probably need to await a cooked custom ROM for this to be solved
The triangleaway script for the S730M can be found at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2420184
The Battery-Drain S730M issue has been noticed by quite a few people (TELUS and BELL, both in Canada), and is unexplainable. When the phone is on (with SIM installed), power usage is normal, but when you power off the phone (with SIM still installed) the power-drain goes up dramatically (draining the battery completely within a few hours). When the SIM is removed, or when the battery is removed there is no abnormal drain perceived. The other thing is, that, when the device, with SIM and battery installed, is powered off, both the battery area and the SIM area get warm (not really hot), indicating SIM activity WHILE THE DEVICE IS OFF... Very odd. I am hoping that a new KK custom ROM would fix this issue as both 'custom' 4.0.4 ROMS I have tried now show the same issue, indicating it is either a hardware or a 4.0.4 implementation issue...
I am sorry I never responded back to you. I had my Cygwin install with my kitchen build environment running on a SSD hard drive with my OS and the drive crapped out on me and had to be sent in for a RMA. I had a easus todo workstation backup of my drive I was able to restore, but the backup wasn't current so I lost my kitchen environment. I never tried to set it up again as I had hoped that someone would have ported Cyanogenmod to the phone.
I may give it a try again as I just setup a vmware ESX host server here at home and I can allocate multiple cores and plenty of ram to the linux Virtual Machine I created on it once I figure out the best build environment and how to actually go about building CM successfully. Anyone know of a porting cyanogenmod for dummies guide I can use? LOL
