What do you mean charge through fastboot? You can charge your phone while it's off.

I believe it is possible to charge a phone in TWRP recovery. If you're currently using CWM recovery, you maybe could switch to TWRP and try and charge it in that.
This is assuming you can't charge it with the phone turned off for some reason, which I think should always be possible, but perhaps not.

[RECOVERY] 05/09/2011 Clockwork-5.0.2.0-pyramid

15 APRIL 2012: ALL - PLEASE NOW REFER TO THIS THREAD HERE
Just found a new Clockwork-5.0.1.0 for our beloved Sensation(al) device
It works fine and didn't find any bug yet
The charging issue some of users had seems to be solved
In order for this to work, the HTC Sensation needs to be S-OFF.
How to Flash:
Flash via boatloader or push adb or fastboot flash recovery recovery.img or using Rom Manager
Download:
01/09/2011: 5.0.1.0:HERE
Update 05/09/2011: 5.0.2.0: HERE
If you want to flash via Bootloader just put the following file PG58IMG.zip in your SD card : HERE
changelog: fix the fact that some users were loosing root access with 5.0.1.0
already a heavy thread going for this, but it SHOULD be in the dev thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1242522
EDIT* good notes too, there are too many plp who dont know how to do this with either method
Alternative method is fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

check out the thread i posted, lots of testing notes
the most significant is the backups/restores are WAYYYY quicker
...and its blue!
Charging issue is still there. Doesn't charge when switched off or battery goes empty. Not Recommended for users who go out of battery very often..
To check if your phone is charging, turn off ur phone, remove and reinsert your battery(to make sure ur phone is fully switched off), then open adb and type::
adb shell cat /sys/devices/platform/htc_battery/power_supply/battery/status
if it returns charging, it's fine for u, otherwise Think again..
I got discharging, so reverted back to 4.0.1.4(Modded for charging when switched off)..
Here's link for 4.0.1.4 for those who want to revert back http://goo.gl/4VlGV
it actually does charge when turned off, but not when in hboot/fastboot/recovery
i completely drained my battery, and it charged, but i had to let it fill for a min or so before i could turn it back on with enough juice to get back into OS
not recommended if kill your battery often
EDIT* the link i poseted has a bit of testing already done, it was just put in the general thread, not the dev one
Wouldn't the easiest way to flash it would be through ROM Manager? That's what I did
sent from Christ All Mighty II
you'd be surprised how many people prefer the manual way (im one of them )
im not a fan or rom manager, you dont really *learn* when you use it, and doesnt work all the time

Did u try adb command when phone was turned off?
It gives me "Discharging', when just turned off and connected to PC.
I was f****d when i had just s-offed my Sensation, and went out of battery. So I'm too skeptical about all this
yup, discharging everytime now, looks like it only worked after that initial restart after a battery pull...
oh well, im still keeping it, the backup/restore is much quicker, and i use it a lot
Discharging for me with adb commandBut LED is red :/

No bro it charging normally even if your phone is turned off. I tried it already cause i have a spare full charged battery. The problem is when you are on recovery aka no charge. Anyway i still find silly to try flash a rom when you are on low battery at all.

thats what im sayin!
even though it says discharging on powered off, it does charge, but u just gotta wait a min or 2 so it has enough juice to power back on...
its not as bad as the < 4.0.1.4 problems, but either way its a better ver of CWM

LED doesn't exactly give proper info. When i was using 4.0.1.4(initial that doesnt charge when switched off that came with revolutionary), i charged phone for whole night and LED was red, but in morning, phone's battery was still empty.
LED is liar lol..

U r right.
But does that mean ADB is liar?? Dunno if i should trust adb or not..
I dont care whether it charges when i m on recovery, but i just want to be sure that my phone charges when i run out of battery.

check it out i flashed a rom right and it didnt want to boot into recovery so i took the battery out and it never turned on again????
Plug it in let it charge a bit. If the orange light blinks four times and turns off, then you need to do a battery swap.
If it charges then let it charge boot unto recovery and restore your backup. I hope you made a backup.
Which Rom were you flashing?

Mate, you're really not helping yourself here. Can you please give a step-by-step of what you were trying to do and a bit more information as to what happened when it didn't go to plan?
e.g. I was trying to flash a new ROM. The ROM update completed successfully but upon rebooting it wouldn't turn on.
The above example gives a bit more insight as to the situation

Pop the battery out for about 10 minutes then put it back in and try charging the battery. Also try charging from a different power source like an AC adapter or via your computers USB port. If the battery light doesn't come on then your battery is most likely dead and you may need to find a replacement.

you said you didnt get any signal. dude you prolly didnt flashed the correct radios. some roms tells you witch radio you need before flashing the rom. not all the roms have the correct radios due of a lot of sensation worldwide. had you tried to go into fastboot at all by holding power and vol down at the same time.

Try turning it on without the battery in, while it's plugged in to the charger (obviously), if it won't turn on at all, try to flash the stock 2.3.3 via nvflash using this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1248644&highlight=nvflash
If that doesn't work try flashing cwm recovery via nvflash using this thread

Good luck! Hope this helps
well first off shame on you for trying to flash a rom with a low battery that was prob not the smartest thing to do second if you have removed your battery and charged your phone and it still wont boot or anything well then you have a bricked phone sorry

Thanks a lot man, it doesn't turn on at all without the battery in. I was using clockwork recovery to flash the ROM. What do you suggest I do from here?
If you can't get into recovery, then you did probably brick your phone, so you'll need to follow the instructions from the first link i posted earlier to flash the stock GB. Then follow the second to flash cwm using the second link, then flash your rom again

If your battery got TOO low, since there's no auto-shutoff while in recovery, it could be too low to take a charge or even allow the device to turn on.
Try turning on the device with a different, fully charged battery. If that works then your battery fried.... at which point it may still be salvagable.. you'd need to hot-swap the battery. that is, turn the device on plugged in and with a GOOD battery... once it's on, then without unplugging, pull out the good battery and QUICKLY insert the bad battery, which will allow it to start charging...
Now, this of course would involve you booting into RECOVERY since you don't have a working ROM, but that would still apply.

Do i have hard bricked my XT1033?

Hello everyone, it's my first post here, and i need help.
My Moto G 1st gen was bricked after i've tried to pass a ROM, so him stayed in bootloop. But the battery ended up, and now my phone doesn't video. To connect it to my computer, he acknowledges, but can not transfer any other ROM to him, because did not the video and says that the battery is low. Does anyone have any solution how to solve this?
Thank you in advance, and I apologize for my bad English
have you tried keeping the phone on charger for while, just keep it on charge, even if you dont see anything on the screen, and then try booting into recovery of fastboot
Try to charge your phone on bootloader
