I have htc explorer and i want to root my phone. i have followed the tutorial btu got stopped at unlocking boot loader. i have done everything that is there in htcdev.com/bootloader and in command window after giving the input fastboot oem get_identifier_token i got the message showing waiting for device for a long time and got stuck with it. I have tried for two days but got the same message. somebody pls help me,

I am new in all this rooting thing.Bought my first touchscreen htc desire 500 few weeks ago but dont like the blue homescreen, and other things.
So started to root few days back.I hope somebody can help me.I am stuck in unlocking the bootloader, whenever i am in the stage of getting the fastboot oem get identifier token i cant get it, the command prompt doesnt give the binary code.

I rooted my friends phone a couple of days ago and he also wanted me to install a rom on his phone. i downloaded the twrp app and installed it as the app said. the day after, the would not start up and just viewing an error: image signature verify fail. someone with same problem told me i had to unlock the bootloader and the problem would be solved. I unlocked the bootloader with an unlock code and fastboot. but now it doesn't start up either! when i hold the power button it sais ascend and then it turns black. the hardware buttons light up. if i look in fastboot it shows the bootloader is unlocked but I can't acces it. I can only go into the purple screen (download mode?) that blackscreen and i guess fastboot because i can see it if i type 'fastboot devices' in cmd window. I have tried to wipe all data with cmd by typing 'fastboot -w' but it still doesn't start up
I need help now because I don't want to buy my friend a new one. it's a huawei g510-0100.
A reply would be much appreciated.

Hi, thank you fur using XDA Assist. You need to flash the stick firmware on your device. Unfortunately there's very little information about your device so if you don't know how to flash the stock firmware ask here,http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2257421

I need to fix this phone for my friend but i am stuck
This is info about phone:
I've tried so far:
1.Unlocking via HTCDev - i got the Unlock code and the unlock screen on my phone,i selected Yes to unlock but when i restarted it is still locked,i tried that two times.
2.RUU - i tried this RUU RUU_K2_UL_ICS_40_HTC_Europe_1.17.401.5_R_Radio_0.12.40.00.14_2_10.49.40.11L_release_301902_signed but it always stuck on verifying phone data.
3.RUU to RUU.zip - I copied the ROM.zip from win TEMP folder to SD Card,renamed it to PL80IMG.zip but it always come to Rom parsing,then stops and return to HBOOT screen and of course nothing happens.
I also tried many other things but also failed to resolve this problem.
Please help
EDIT:I installed HTCSync and manage to get past "verifying phone data." in RUU and began the process of flashing.
BUT another problem appeared.
This is the process of RUU:
1.Rebooting to Bootloader - OK
2.Then my phone of course again run into bootloop and the result is:
3.Waiting for Bootloader and error 171 USB connection problem..
I think that this phone or haunted or hardware defective...
i have this problem too , but ...
i install TWRP version 2.7 (that version offer in xda for htc one sv) and finally i reach to TWRP , then i install ViperSV_1.5.0 , i have that stuck again , i just wait and watch for 1 or 2 minute and BOOM...!!!

Same here, tried unlock bootloader thru THCdev, fastboot says successful ,OK, but phone does not get the next screen, for unlocking. Tried 100 times.
I have RUU and ZIP, but when device reboot after 20 seconds RUU crashes. In log file says:
The input file() DOES NOT exist
Any other suggestions here ?

i think you need the original firmeware. mine is from Uk. so there is on htcdev.com kernel files but how to upload it on the phone ?
so i have a htc wildfire s and i have been trying to unlock bootloader of this devil of a phone since the past week but with no luck. i am following the htc dev method and everything works smoothly until i type fastboot oem get_identifier_token cmd after this it shows waiting for any device and it stays that way for eternity. i have looked through all the possible threads related to this and i cant find any fix please somebody help me out i am getting very frustrated now!
