Sorry mate..
I flashed sense 4 Rom yesterday bt if u post screenshots of display settings / backlight settings page I ll surely tell u in which opn it ll work..
Or u can install app "keyboard backlight controller" .. find in Google play...

Its in Settings -> Display -> Automatic backlight
Under light levels tick 'Use custom' and select 'Edit other levels'. Now you can tweak the screen auto brightness values.

Thanks bro it worked
Btw do i need to edit screen dim level also?
PS: Pressed thanks for all who helped

No, just leave it at the default value. It's the brightness just before screen timeout.

Unable to install downloaded apk

Guys
I need some advice. I have two apk files that I downloaded...private beta for dolphin browser and cut the rope..however I can't install both of them...swype was installed successfully before....and I did tick install from unknown sources...I just can't click the install button

Ok guys...manage to solve the problem
Apparently this "screen filter"app that I am using is having a conflict with the installation from as card...damn weird but once I disable the app, it works....gonna email the developer about this bug...and again thanks to those who replied...appreciate it

thanks I was trying everything to install I had the same issue wit the button, an disabled screen filter and bam good looking man
"Brightness Adjuster" was the problem in my case
Hi guys! I have the same problem - seems like every brightness control application in some way interferes with the other apps and I can't install APK files anymore.
I've tried Screen Filter, Dimmer (Night Mode), Brightness widget and nothing - if I install any of them I can't install APK from dropbox/sd card. Why is that so?!
My phone is LG L5 II and the minimum brightness is too bright, so I really need some kind of application, which controls the screen brightness.
What do you think? How can I have them both - brightness control app + working installation of APK files?

Screen filter apps work by installing a layer, so to speak, on TOP of your viewable screen. This is NOT a bug, it is how it works. To resolve this issue just change your screen filter ( generally for low light environment and night viewing) to Chainfire's app, "CFlumen" and you're done.

Note screen "too" bright?

My XDA friends
I an a heavy data user on the Note. Especially during night time I find the notes screen to be"too" bright. And I have the brightness setting set to a minimum.
Have also tried the built in "auto brightness" feature
Do we have an app that can reduce the nighttime brightness?

I'd use ''screen adjuster'' free on play store. A lot more user settings than using screen filters.
Not sent from an i phone....cos im not a fanny

Get screen filter from the Google playstore
tryying "screen filter " now, thank you all for your help
Check out rootdim to go to true minimum brightness, slightly darker than what you can normally reach. Also juicedefender has its own auto brightness function which integrates a screen filter-like dimming by shading, works nicely.

Chrome-browser brighter than Internet-browser

Why are some apps brighter than others?
When i set the brightness completely down I noticed it with chrome and internet browser but i think other apps act equal.

The bright is changing automatically, i believe.

But the "auto" checkbox is unchecked.
Is this something i have to live with or are there settings or apps wich could fix it?

have you tried other web browsers?
There is an app "screen filter" from play store. To reduce the screen brightness. Ya. Chrome is a lot brighter. it doesn't even have the inverted mode that stock browser has! (Google must be crazy!)
Check and see if you have the setting to change brightness depending on image content enabled or not (different than auto brightness).
I like the Screen Filter app. I even use a similar thing on my desktop. Bah humbug to too-bright screens.
The screen filter app is great, thanks
But the normal internet browser is still darker. If i open chrome or an other app and than open the internet browser in splitscreen the whole screen gets darker. I thought there were more apps wich are darker but i think i was wrong -> the only darker app is internet but why?
@pennycake this setting changes nothing. What does it exactly do? How can i check if it's working.

Backlight app ?

Is there any app (without root) which can toggle our explorers menu lights on - off because at night i don't like bright lights down there . I know it is possible because any ebook reader app can disable backlights. For example- aldiko ebook reader . It disables backlight at time of reading book without root. I wonder if it can disable light then why not any other app without root ?
Regards

See the top-right corner in the app, you will find 3-4 horizontal bars. Touch that. Then touch on settings. The third option "Disable button Backlight", tick that off.
Now, your button's backlight is enabled.
Just installed the app to check and make sure, if i was right.

Backgrounds for 'WatchWidgets'

Please feel free to post here Backgrounds for use with 'WatchWidgets'.
Make sure that the resolution for the background is 220 x 176
I like your backgrounds three.
There is mine. That_Board, Mario background(from here).
I have a dumb question. How do you add clocks and widgets after adding background image? Every time I add it, everything greys out. If I add things before background, it greys out.

You have to add the background first, and then you can put on top of it -for exapmle- a clock
I tried that but then everything greys out and i cant put anything on top of it. Thanks for responding.
