hey bro ....i am ready to help but you did not mentioned which android version or firmware you are using?..
.however, if you are on stock 2.2 froyo then you can use "superoneclick" (google it for full information) to root your phone!.
if you are on 2.3.3 or 2.3.4 gingerbread then just download the attached file and put it in the root of your sd card(not in any folder) and don't unzip it (let it be as it is, in the .zip format) ...Now, turn off your phone wait for it to vibrate ..now, boot into recovery mode (by holding the middle key+power key together).
now, select the "apply update from sd card" and select the root.zip file from the list and press the middle key ...let it finish the installation and then reboot your phone...
After rebooting you will be having "superuser" in the app drawer .....enjoy your phone is rooted now!!
And as far as Clockworkmod Recovery is concerned u need to be on Vishwanath's FitDroidv2.0 ROM to use that and it has many other great functions too .....look for it in the Developmeny section....I highly recommend it!!! me too using his ROM
.....
Press thanx if i helped u!!
i have the stock 2.2 I bought it yesterday... I was afaid that is a special version of superoneclick and i don't want to brick it...

I am about to flash a rom from SamFirmware with Odin to my Rooted Galaxy Xcover. Otherwise, everything else is clear but I need to now one thing:
Can I flash a ROM to the phone with Odin and keep my rooting and sd card partition?
Thanks for quick your replies!
You need Odin
The Firmware vom Sammobile
turn your device in download mode (usually power and volume down)
connect via usb, turn on odin
select firmware and hit start
thats all. your root and your data will be lost. so do a backup before

I am a new member here and I have maybe an solution for all you out there who keep tryin to root the ICS 4.1.B.0.431 version on their Xperia Arc
It worked for me so please feedback and correct me if i am wrong
So I done that like this:
1. I downloaded the stock ICS 4.1.B.0.431 for my Arc.
2. I flashed it on my Arc with flashtool.
3. Then I tried to root it with Rooting Toolkit for Xperia 2011 ICS by Doomlord ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1601038 ) but no succes
4. I found that thread: [07/04][arc/arc s][ics 4.0.3] very stabe, smooth, nice and best for battery fc3.0
5. And in this thread I found that kernel: http://www.mediafire.com/?8499hc90y9eoa06
6. I flashed it on my Arc with the stock ICS
7. I used again the Rooting toolkit by Doomlord
8. And voiiiiiila........i got root!
As mentioned I tried that and it worked for me
thanks for the tips and solution dude

Bunnybash you need flashtool (better for beginners), the kernel which i provided in my thread (thanks to the dev who made it) and of course a Xperia Arc
First download the kernel and after that the kernel which you put somewhere on your desktop.
Then after installing open up Flashtool and click on the lightning (sory my english is bad) and select fastboot mode.
Then just click on select kernel to flash and clickthe one you placed on the desktop.
Follow the on-screen instructions and you are done

I have a Xperia ARC, after trying to root my phone by different ways, flashing so many roms, I found the way to get it. But not with 4.1.B.0.431, I got it with 4.1.A.0.562 and I have locked bootloader.
First you have to download the 4.1.A.0.562 rom, as I see you know how to flash it. Go to this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1598072 and download the rom.
Then go to this forum Thanks to DoomLord http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1601038 and there you have the instruction to root your xperia.
Please read CAREFULLY the instructions, download ALL the files it suggest before start the procedure. And in the step 5 and 6, do it as it says, if not you won't get you phone rooted.
Keep reading the instruction in the CMD window during the rooting process specially when it says: Turn off and On USB debbuging.
Please thanks people in the forum I suggest, they were whom really did the job. Hope this could help you.

Well, its a matter of hit and try..!! You could try it and see if it works. I don't think that the rooting script is chipset specific. But it maybe that as well. We don't get Qmobile here in India, so don't know the specifics. It might work or it might fail. At most the phone won't and you will be stuck on bootscreen. You can get that fixed at the service centre if its in warranty (don't tell them you tried rooting.)

I should work. I have tested this on many more devices ( I will add of those in a while though) You should try it again. And also it dosen't matter where you live.
it says device not found
well sir i gave it another try. all was going on well. in the end it said "error : device not found "
and not rooted.
anyway thanks for quick reply sir
regards
Do one thing and see if su is there. If it is then remove it along with root (there is and option in settings of su) and then re-root it. While in the the process of rooting, don't touch anything on your phone or pc. And I hope this time you are able to root it!
Also confirm if it works and what device you used.
Regards
Ishan

First check with root checker and ota voodoo to see if there is any tick in the boxes. If not try to install SU and see it it works out.
If not then,
1. Download busybox https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=stericson.busybox (Only the app and not busybox)
2. Root with motochopper
3. If exploit dosen't show any error, INSTALL busybox from the app and then check SU
I tested both the exploits on Xperia SP. Gave me an error in the explot a few times but worked out though. It also gave me an error that it is not rooted even after i got no error in the exploit. Just had to install busybox and voila it worked

Actually, it's just the drivers which should be installed. In Win7, they are automatically installed but they take some time as they are downloaded and installed. So that's why the rooting is stuck at that point as the drivers are still being installed in the background.
Hi Guys , I have a Micromax funbook p560 (Android ICS 4.0.4) . I have rooted it already but unable to install clockwalkmod recovery. I have tried everything but it only boot into old recovery " android system recovery <e3> "..
I have already used lots of thing to install CWM recovery but nothing works.
Then I found from terminal that "/dev/block/nandg" is not there in /dev/block/ folder...
There is only mmcb1k0, mmcblk0p1 to mmcblk0p21 files (which i think responsible for recovery mode ) & loop files
So the bash script was not worked...

You mean you want to make cwm your default, you might need to flash a custom kernel. Else you can flash cwm.zip via your stock recovery and enter cwm recovery and use it for everything you need.

post the results, if you try. include steps you followed to root and also link to the cwm recovery file.
btw, can anyone help with getting BSNL 3G SIM Card and MTS Huawei EC1561 dongle to work on this device? thanks.

Yes that is the what only can work ... I think some boot script overlap cwm with stock recovery...
So I tried CWM.zip file flashing through stock recovery and it boot into cwm but Interface is very large and many error pops up...(like /cache not found .. etc etc )
thats all because of the partition related... wrong mount points in recovery.fstab file in cwm.zip.
So I edited that file with my correct mount points....... but signature got broken .. &
I'm not able to flash the new Edited CWM.zip file, as stock recovery refuses because of signature error..
So is there any way to edit recovery.fstab file in CWM.zip without breaking signature or re-signing it ???
Kindly tell me .. It will be very helpfull..
Is there anyone using funbook 3g P560 with working CWM. I dint find anything bout it.. All having the same issue I think..
So Please help me on this....Thanks
Is anyone there can help me ???

Hey, i have that tablet and have rooted it.
1. Download root master english.
2click root and follow what it tells.
3.download root checker.
4. Go in su binary it comes with it.
5. Give root permission to root checker and verify root in root checker.
6.its rooted but when you use a root apk a popup will come to allow root permission to that apk. If not then do the same check it in su binary.
