Hi guys
I'm using bsplayer on my note 10.1, streamering via wi-fi and i notice that in the first minutes it doesn't run smoothly with mkv files 720p. Any ideia to solve this or it's a normal behaviour?
Thanks
Hello.
I use it with 1080p ,works fine.
Try to increase Network buffer size in Parameters of BsPlayer.
Or try another WiFi channel.

HI,
I have a strange issue with my Galaxy Tab 2 7" (P3110):
-> I can see flawlessly my 720p mkv videos when they are on the internal sd card and when using video H/W acceleration
-> I can see them when they are on my WIFI LAN and using software decoding, but it's very lagguy
-> I can't see them in the same conditions (wifi) if I try to use the video hardware acceleration decoders (activated with the media player. MXVideo Player for example) : The screen becomes blacks as expected, a wheel appears on screen and never stops cycling, as if the tab was buffering all the movie before playing it..
(and I can play them with my Galaxy S I9000 on wifi. so wifi is not the problem..)
I have this problem with 4.0.3 stock rom and with CM9.1
Has anyone achieved to play some large 720p mkvs with wifi? On which rom/kernel plz?
Is there a resolution? Can CM10/JB have a chance to sove this issue?
thx
I use BSplayer free and it plays my dlna wifi mkv with HW just fine.

Watching 1080p video on a 1280x800 screen is like trying to listen to 5.1 audio out of your phone speaker. Pointless.
As for 720p, use Dice player. Works flawlessly for me on CM10 @ 1.4Ghz.
Regards.
for 720p also try moboplayer, works great with subs also...im with the same rom like you!
It all depends on how it was encoded. Mostly the profile used, I believe the XOOM supports upto 4.1 or 4.0. But profile doesn't mean jack in my opinion since it's just info on how it was encoded, what is important is the way it was encoded. Also I believe it has strict limits on the numbers of --ref frames it can play back, I say 4 or 6 max and it also can't play in 10bit. That explanation was pretty basic...
Hi everyone,
My XL cant play 1080p videos smoothly even with MX player. It lags and skips frames many times during the play back.
Is everyone facing this problem?
But there are a few reviews that many can smoothly playback 1080p videos using MX player.
I also tried enabling speed up tricks in mx player settings,:crying: but no use.
I am using the latest MX player and my phone is on latest stock firmware(.14).
Please reply.

try VLC with hardware acceleration enabled, check your external sd card for read speed (with SD tools)
or kernel with light OC to 1.2GHz (which is stock frequency of MSM8230) but this is only for unlocked bootloader...
and after all there is no reason to play 1080p videos on device with XHDPI resolution (854x480)

Is it just one movie, or is it all movies? What video player are you using? Have you tried others.

It depends upon device. If your device doesn't support natively, then SW decoder is the only option. SW will be laggy if your cpu is not powerful enough.
