I was trying to flash MIUI ROM but when i rebooted it didn't boot....I restarted but still stuck at HTC logo... I then took out the battery waited for some time then without wasting any time I put it back and voila it started on by itself but still no luck it didn't booted so I removed the battery again trying to go into the bootloader but I can't because as soon as I pip in the battery it boots in the rom so I don't have a chance to press volume down and power!!! Then I got scared my phone is semi bricked and I Thought let's make the op a bit confusing shhhh I changed the title but remember... So I tried again and again with many different angles of the battery but it still didn't work so any help guys??
Any command to save my phone with I can give using adb??
simple type adb
u will get list of all commands with their uses
I tried again it didn't help
Please help guys
...........
Can't get you?!
edit:
Your board might be short-circuting, if it was the worse case.
Does your ROM boot? NO? Well, it is struck at boot anim.
When you switch on the phone, try to switch it off again.
If you are not able to switch it off, then press the power-vol_up-vol_down keys together. The phone will get reset.
See if then you can switch it off.
If neither works, press down the volume button and power button. Then, insert battery. If it boots, then, it will have to go to the menu from where you can get to the recovery.
If all of this doesn't work, take your phone to service center, and say "Sorry, I rooted my device, but cant go into recovery. can you help me?" and add "I think it is only a hardware problem. not software, bcoz the phone isn't booting at all"
P.S:
If you have already flashed MIUI ROM, you would have the configuration files left on your SD Card. So, If you try to flash MIUI, it will get struck at boot anim (personal experience). Try connecting the card to computer, and then delete any folder named MIUI. It is usually only one folder.

These are signed apk's so no installing through recovery. If you don't like them simply uninstall.

if you want to zip them up and send them via dropbox i will finish the steps or if you want to try it.
download a copy of the Gapps and rename the Gapp's zip anything you want
open it with 7zip and navigate to the apps folder
(name you chose here).zip/system/apps
drag and drop your new files into that folder (these should not be signed since they are going into the system partition they do not need to be)
then exit 7zip sometimes it will ask to update the zip pick yes, then sign that whole zip file instead of just an apk, then you should be able to flash it via recovery like every other zip
I was waiting for this! Thanks for the apps! I put some more suggestions in the TwoPointThree topic, I'll edit with those in here instead.

the apk's will still be inside that zip folder they just wont be signed, they get put in the system/app folder
so in order to make a blue or any other color you would make seperate zip files for each color then the user just flashes them in recovery, when you flash over one set any apk's that have the same name will be replaced (actually i think it goes on their android:id so i think it will replace them even if the apk's in the zip have different names)
I was searching online for an extended power menu mod and I thought I had found one. I downloaded it and flashed it through CWM. Try Reflashing the ROM
But remember to always create a backup.

So I reflashed the ROM and my power menu is now working properly. Thank you. But before I flashed the ROM and now, still, I'm having a problem with my xda app uninstalling itself multiple times.
Also, I have a file that I downloaded from my ROMs forum called jb-framework.zip. There was no explanation given as to what the file does. Could someone explain it to me please?
And finally, if someone would be kind enough to create me a mod for an extended power menu I would be grateful. Or give me information on how to do so myself. Thanks.

I do believe that I have tried this mod before, but when flashing, it gave me an error. I'm currently backing up my phone, and as soon as it finishes I will flash this. it would be much easier if you used a PC, but if you don't have access to one then try this:
*Edited instructions so that you won't have to use ROM Manager and have them all in one single post*
1) Root your device with this app: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1044765
2) Install 3e modded recovery as shown here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y09p-J_g_Rg
-just copy recovery file to /bin using Solid Explorer or ES File Explorer (both free).. skip the ROM Manager part.
3) Install cwm by using method 1 here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1107881
from this point, you should be ready to flash custom roms through recovery. I would recommend jumping from versions one at a time (froyo -> GB -> ICS) just to avoid any errors.
Be aware that flashing ICS will leave you with a rainbow recovery since you won't have gingerbread bootloaders, which can only be flashed from download mode.
Hope I was able to help you! PM if you have any doubts
I advise to look at the Super ISET page by our own bigjoe as opposed to using ROM Manager. This is due to the fact that ROM manager bricks infuses a lot.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using xda app-developers app
Did you already do step 1? There's where you root your phone. Without root you don't have write access to /bin which explains the error when you try to paste.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using xda app-developers app
That's bad news :/ well that means you are gonna need to find a Pc to root it and then you can move on with the rest.
If you do get access to a Pc, consider using Odin which would allow you to jump to a GB + rooted + cwm + gb bootloaders all in one flash.. that would save you some time and get rid of rainbows if you move on to ICS
Sent from my sweet and buttery Infuse
ok... i will try it... thanks for your time and tryin ur best!! i was reading and i think this phone has NAND lock... im not sure but i think ill have to use unrevoked to root it. :s

I never had heard of that before but I did a quick search and it seems our phone is not nand locked. If it was, we wouldn't be able to obtain root by using superoneclick, which is what you would be using to root yours

Evita Sense 5 FAQ’s
Will this rom work on the International HTC One X or X+?: No, this is ONLY for the HTC One XL. If you want a shiny new paperweight then by all mean, flash the rom.
Can I dirty flash this rom over a previous version or another rom?: It may work or it may not but, it is highly advisable to wipe cache, dalvik, factory reset just to rule out any issues that may arise.
Does everything function on this rom?: Remember, this is a port from a totally different phone so not all things function as they should. Namely Bluetooth, Zoe, Panoramic, Burst shot, wifi tethering. These things are being worked on and there is no ETA on when we will get them to work properly. When we get them working, we will let you know.
Can I flash this using CWM?: There are a few users that have gotten it to flash with CWM however, we advise you to use TWRP.
What version of TWRP can I use to flash this?: It is recommended to use 2.3.3.1 or 2.6 or later.
Will this work with ElementalX or Bulletproof kernels?: No.
I cannot get wifi to work after I flashed ElementalX or Bulletproof: ElementalX and bullet proof Kernal are incompatible with this Rom. Try Beastmode kernel by Team Blackout instead.
I found a bug. What should I do?If you have found a bug or some apps are force closing or something isn't working as it should try to capture a logcat of the problem or post a detailed description on how to reproduce the problem.
standby time is amazing on this rom
left mine at 18 percent at 12.00 am with wifi and mobile data left on
woke this morning at 7.30 am to find it still at 18 percent
happy days
thanks to all the above devs
just hoping and praying one of them can sort the bluetooth :good:

Couple things,Twrp 2.3.3.1 has basic touch driver assistance, sort of. It's most compatible with newer touch drivers, better than the reverts we use. 2.3.3.0 no touch assist on the other hand, won't work at all on new drivers. So recovery plays a big part,in proper installation of things. It can in some cases, mess stuff up. Example:WiFi is forked after a fresh install. Wipe install same Rom,everything works perfectly.
It's almost like grinders sig. (Ghosts in the machine) I believe what I just said was stated correctly,I could be slightly off,but a recovery downgrade+fresh Rom install,or touch driver update. Might help fix inconsistent installs.

For some reason, my phone doesn't like this rom. I installed 2.3.3.0 with the downgraded touch panel fw. I'm on hboot 2.14. I clean installed 3.0 by wiping everything except the sd card. It booted up just fine. So, I set it up, rebooted into TWRP to flash the 3.5 update, it went to TWRP's splash screen and bam, the phone instantly rebooted and got stuck at the HTC screen. I'm done. I truly love the rom but not when this keeps happening whenever I want to get into the recovery. My phone doesn't do it on any other sense 4+/JB Rom. I ended up having to fastboot erase cache to get back into TWRP to restore my backup of CleanROM.

This also happens to me. I cleared data, unistall and reinstall app, reboot and nothing! It works on other roms besides Sense 5 so maybe it's the camera

It's basic xda rules that you search before posting. In other words, you HAVE TO LOOK. If you don't get that, maybe you shouldn't be here.

Is the delay (and skip in music) when you turn the screen on still there in 4.3?
I got no root right, is it normal ?

Any hope of there being a "stable" release? The last one is on 4.1.2 as archaic as it seems! Lol how development flies. I know much work is being done on nightlies, but I would much prefer waiting for a stable release rather than questionable nightlies.

I'd imagine there will be before too long. With the 3.4 kernel worked out now development seems to be going a lot quicker now as rohan also pointed out. So I think it's likely that issues found in nightlies will be worked out sooner, and thus a stable build can be released.

They're not really "questionable". I think some people place too much emphasis on the nightlies being "unstable". Give it a few days and these nightlies will be working beautifully. I've flashed a whole bunch of nightlies that ran just as well as any stable build I've tried.

This is so awesome... I am still on CM10 given that it is the only build that works with AVRCP 1.3... Can't wait until this guy has it too (I guess it's built in by Google)?
Any ideas if fast charge would be in this kernel?
Thanks!

For those that have installed CM10.2, do you feel any performance has been gained over longer use considering 4.3 introduced the back-end ability to use FStrim? This would, in theory, take away that laggy feel that we all experience over time from writing and deleting material from our devices over and over.

is fstrim enabled for our device? an anandtech post mentioned that it was there in all the Nexus images. it would be really nice if it were in our builds
