Google:
"htc dev unlock flash custom rom".
Read a bit. About different phones, too.
Understand the concept.
Profit.
Thanks

Since you're already rooted, just download rom manager and flash the custom recovery (clockworkmod)

If your bootloader is unlocked you have to flash the boot IMG separate.

Since it is your first time, I would highly suggest making full nandroid backup of you phone and saving the file elsewhere. So that is something goes horribly wrong you can always revert. RomManager can do the backup I believe, though I use Titanium Backup Pro.

You need adb installed on your computer and phone should be in bootloader and plugged into computer via usb.
Place the recovery (let's call it recovery.img) in the fastboot folder in adb.
Then, in a command prompt navigate to the adb directory on your sd card. For instance, on my computer I have the simple adb install, so I would type
cd C:\adb
fastboot flash recovery.img
I have adb set up on my computer and I place the file in the same folder as fastboot and rename it to recovery.img then I open my command prompt in that window so its already where it needs to be and the I boot my phone into fastboot via adb and I type in the command that's suppose to flash it but it always tells me error unable to load am I missing a step? Do I need it on my SD card? It's driving me crazy I was unable to downgrade bc of this problem to

Make sure you have "Hide extensions for known file types" disabled in windows folder settings. It's possible the name of the file is actually recovery.img.img so you're directing adb to flash a filename that doesn't exist.

I envy you. You're at a thrilling time. First rooting and flashing of ROMs is so much fun.
Sent from my Glacier using xda app-developers app
Yeah its really fun flashing roms. The only other device I've ever rooted was a lg optimus t and all I had to do was download a app and click perm root and I was done and that was last year when I 14 but now that I've gone trough all this I understand the concept of this way more and I can't wait to learn more

No, its not at all complicated. HTC has presented it in step by step in easy way....
Using user-level apps to do kernel-level operations is always risky.

facebook for htc sense

I am using sense 4.0 build 6.. I am wondering if any how I can get facebook for htc sense installed on that.
Thankyou
Why not. Just extract the required files from the backup. De-odex it. Re-program it for your rom. Re-compile it. And install it.
Sounds easy, but practically isn't.
Search all dev threads for related info.

The process i said. Thats the framework you need to follow, basically. If you succeed, you get an apk file at the end, which you can install.

The second link will help you greatly. After you get the source file, build it with target API level of your rom, i suppose it will be 15.
Other way around, ask derefas to do something about it. He made it, he'll know it better.

Why did y'all remove amaze 4g s-off tool file we don't need it?

I went to the forum clicked on the link and it said there weren't any files its safe for me to flash a kernel then? Well ima go ahead and flash my rom I'll be back to see if anyone has replied

No use of it ......
If u again relock bootloader
It will show
RELOCKED instead of LOCKED
And for unroot ..try Ruu Rom in android section
Sent from my HTC Explorer using xda premium
Plz give the Link for RUU and how to install RUU? That's the problem..
Sent from my HTC Explorer using xda premium
Well here is how to install ruu http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1500165
But anyway WHY THE [email protected]@K do you want to do this, firstly, you can end up with headake if this fails in some place, secondly if you so bad need a stock rom, in my signature is link for flashable one, also if you want to use your warranty, you will fail, because the bootloader after ruu will show re-locked, so there is no point of using ruu.
Oohh.. Btw I'm Not Going To Unroot It, Was Just Asking If There Was Any Procedure To Unroot, For Knowledge..
Sent from my HTC Explorer using xda premium
Aaa that's different. If you JUST need to unroot your phone.....
(have tested this only on galaxy ace, couldn't find link wright now so I'll paste what I did there)
1. go to /system/app whit file manager delete superuser.apk
2. go to /system/xbin and delete this
1. busybox
2. sh
3. sqlite3
4. su
5. su-v1
6. su-v2
7. su-v3
Then just reboot, not sure if it will work with explorer but it should.
Hmm.. Thnx.. But Not Going To Try
Because it's a bit risky and nobody have tried it yet for explorer..
