magnet on case affect 8013?? - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just got my case for my tablet on eBay and it uses magnet about 6 on the case to hold the flap in different trifold positions.
Will the 8013 be affected by the magnet?

in galaxy note n7000 magnetic covers affect spen functionality... the screen areas near the magnet cannot be written with spen.... I think that its the same with all samsung spen devices

Okay that's fine. I just wanna make sure there aren't any long term/irreversible damage (ie storage) done to the tablet. I plan on keeping the 8013 for a while.
Thanks tho!
And there you possibly have the link to that forum/discussion??

[Q] Book Cover + Keyboard Dock - Do they fit together?

Does anyone know if the Galaxy Note 10.1 will fit in the "official" Keyboard Dock with the "official" Book Cover on?
Removed answer. I read the post wrong
Haha what did you think it said lol. I emailed Samsung and they said it doesn't... but why make a case and keyboard dock that doesn't fit together...? But thanks for you reply anyway. Lol

You can't fold it like a laptop, that why.

Is it waterproof?

Wondering if Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 or 10.1 are "waterproof" or something like that. Have any of you guys dropped your device in the water? Did it survive?

you can try and tell us!!!
Absolutly sure that they aren't waterproof.
There are too many Positions where Water can run into the Tablets.
Slot's, Speakers...

I'm sure it's not waterproof. You can use it, for example, in the kitchen to see your favorites recipes and touch the screen with wet hands but nothing beyond...

Smart cover

Im looking for a cover thats slim, and has a feature to awake/sleep the screen and has a magnetic closure. Any links or review of similar products would be appreciated. Thanks

Just look in the right forum its called Accessories .

I do not think there is a smart cover with the ability to turn the screen on and off and the same is not enabled on device
There are tons of post in the accessories section on covers please search int hat
You cant do that with thus tablet. There is no sensor for that. The smart stay uses the camera which is all it will do.

Using a magnetic closure cover has been known to cuase problems with the screen not being able to recognize touches. I wouldn't recommend using one of those.

Please see the link of the cover i am using though the quality is not that great
Afaik the Note 10.1 has a sensor which detects if something is covering it. I think it was discovered in the testing app. I'm using a folio case from Noreve (and it is nice, btw) and I want it to auto lock the screen when I close the case. Possible?

[Q] S-Pen tips, when to use which tip?

Those extra tips that come with our note 10.1, 3 are black and 2 are white. How are they different? When do you use them? If this has been discussed before, my sincere apologies to those who find these newbie questions tiresome...
Sent from my GT-N8013 using xda premium
If you have a screen protector on then definately the white plastic tip
White plastic tip is better to use for light work like writing and so on
But if you are an artist then definately the rubber tip
How do you replace them do you just pull them out?
Sent from my GT-N8010 using xda premium
Yes. Use the included grabber to pull it out. Its just like anyother wacom pens.

S pen on screen

For some reason in the middle of the right of my screen the s pen doesn't seem to register unless I pressed down firmly. So I did a little scribble test and noticed while scribbling on the screen with s note a portion of my screen scribble not registering with the samepressure applied but when I pressed a bit more family only then did it register any solutions to this?
