i've succesfuly unlocked boot loader using htcdev.com methode
but when try to update using RUU_Chacha_HTC_ARA_1.57.415.3_Radio_47.23.35.3033H _7.51.35.19_release_228130_signed.exei get error like security fail displayed on device

Dear…you can't use RUU updates with rooted device unlocked with htc dev…there are another method search the forum for it…

If your phone has S-ON (Security ON) then you cannot flash a RUU unless it has the same CID (Career ID) as your phone, in your case it seems that RUU is for another brand
otherwise if it is S-OFF then you can change your CID to 11111111 which gives you the ability to flash any RUU you want !

You are confused which is confusing me which is all so confusing...
Why do you need the RUU? You said you are trying to use HTCdev, so go forth and unlock it on HTCdev then.
I tried to follow the instruction in htcdev and it says that I need to install Ruu first before I can go to the next step.

Your version should already match, just skip the ruu part and unlock it.

I notice the adb.exe file that is on the htcdev website is 400k and the one I got is only 150k. Is there any link where I can download the file adb.exe that is 400k? Thanks in advance

dont know if this has been posted but the gold card method and flashing other carriers has been working fine. i flash the asia RUU to my phone no problem doing this. especially good if needed to go back to stock and windows RUU will not let u

Does that give you any options for S-off? Supposedly some Asian countries were using that gold card sim thing to achieve it

no s-off but just a good way to go back to stock or other RUU's
i wish it was that easy lol. unless there is something extra step i would have to take.
i just wanted a bloat free stock experience i had with my INT hox

yes you can with super cid. but i prefer this method by extracting the rom from the RUU. and renaming it accordingly
but you can do it which ever way you want

I have extracted the rom from the ruu already and I have supercid.
I received notification that a new ROM was available for my phone so I downloaded it. When I went into TWRP to install it said that it failed. Please help me!!!
I use version 2.3.1.0 I think that's how it is. When I swipe to install it brings up failed in red and in the writing it says fail to locate

May be its because you have hboot 1.14. If yes, then RUU to 3.18 which will update your hboot to version 2.14.
From now on, hboot 2.14 is required to flash cm10.1!

if you have ran the 3.18 RUU then you need to upgrade your TWRP to 2.3.3.1 some people are saying the 2.6 version is working for us now but i have not tested it

Phone is now ***unlocked*** but the problem is that i cant get into recovery again, also phone stuck at bootscreen (beats logo).
Phone was updated before to the latest software ( ICS 4.0.3 ).
Any idea how to solve this?

Phone after some time (and battery of the phone) is able to go into bootmode...
Now i know that i have s-off and unlock also
Anyway i got some problem with 4ext recovery to flash (phone isnt rooted yet) but i got some solution with PG58IMG.zip, but now got kinda hardware problem with turning on phone again.. (need wait again some time - like cooldown)
Now question: its possible that is hardware damage?
Battery is brand new, cuz i thinked that was the problem.

phone is fully unlocked and with s-off also with superCID. Hboot 1.29
Zip adding recovery was successful.
After that i tried to install Viper5, fully wiped phone, soft was installed and last thing was restart phone.
Now bad things: phone stuck at htc logo, also im unable to get 4ext recovery again ;/
Any ideas how to solve this?
Maybe i should flash all with PC tool?
try to flash the boot.img of the rom via fastboot command
fastbot flash boot boot.img
I upgraded with ROM 4.2.2 on the forum, but i got some error such as noisy sound call, full storage.

You need to get S-off, then you can flash the firmware and your noisy sound should be gone.
For S-Off
- you need to run http://rumrunner.us (universal version).
- or you flash back to a stock k2_u rom and use http://moonshine.io
Both should work, but i would go the moonshine way to get S-off. Seems better because of your hboot.
i am running android 4.2.2 but i get noisy voice call. Can i get s-off when my phone running android 4.2.2?
Rumrunner should work on 4.2.2.
