Just wondering if anyone got this working with root. I'm using ViperXL, but can't seem to get it working. I know it's from root. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Rename the su binary? Use supersu to hide root?.

Nope it doesn't work.

I had a similar issue with flixster. I used superuser by ChainsDD and it has an option to 'temp unroot'. Once you check that box and reboot flixster worked fine, then you uncheck and you have full root again.

If sideloading is really all you need? you can use the Sideload Wonder Machine.
Sideload Wonder Machine works great but I was able to get Super One Click to allow non-market app installs ( ie. sideload). SOC says the phone is rooted and installs SU. but it doesn't work and SU is gone after a restart.
Can someone post the app or the zip cause I'm running clean from lite and it doesn't have the app and that's the only app I need from stock sense

It's a system app, you can't install it like a normal apk. You need to put it in /system/app (use root explorer or adb) and then set its permissions to rw-r--r--. Reboot when you're done and it should work.
I don't understand the permissions I'm using es explorer and I see the permissions but which do I set user and all that to

Hello all. I'm look for help getting the WiFi tethering working on my phone. I don't know if just didn't install the tethering when I initially installed or if it just isn't working. Do I have any options as far as getting the tethering working without re-installing? Would someone be able to to create a flashable zip? I would appreciate any help offered. Thanks

I think you might want to describe your problems first, what's not working? I'm on cleanrom 5 and tethering works fine ....
WiFi tether hack is not working. When I try it says to contact AT&T

Nevermind, I got it figured out.

wud you mind telling me how?
I just did a dirty install (no wiping of caches or anything) and chose the same options as before or it will remove things. And I chose the WiFi tether and I did not choose the AT&T icons. Hope that helps

Hey all,
I have a friend with a fido HTC One S who doesn't seem to be able to get root permissions where SU says "binary cannot be updated" or "installation failed"
How can this be fixed? Problem has existed for months!
Thanks

Install through recovery
SuperSU
I'm all upgraded everything worked perfect. Only problem I am having is obtaining root. I've flashed the su and bb zip a few times. Looks to be perfect. Su app shows and seems to be working but I can not update binary and no apps can obtain root. I'm not even getting a notification. Am I missing something ?
