Flashing Recovery...Help needed

Hello guys....i have 4ext-cwm4 recovery and i want to install the latest 4ext recovery.i cant acces any rom(my phone stays at htc bootscreen anytime i flash a rom).i need the recovery fast so i can convert my filesytem(in my current recovery i dont have this option)
Can someone give me an PG88IMG.zip with a 4 ext recovery?i searched everywhere on xda and interned without results.
PLS HELP.

I think you unlocked your bootloader with htcdev, if yes you need to extract the boot.img of the ROM and after flashing the ROM you have to flash the kernel (boot.img) with fastboot, but next time search the forum, this has been discussed many times

i need a custom recovery flashable from fastboot....i have s off eng hboot 6.98.2000.i need 4ext recovery...i searched but no satisfying results

Any rom i flash the phone hangs at htc bootscreen......any possibilities to solve this <-?

Want to load a new RUU ver. 2.10.401.8.
Once the RUU install, the phone is not loaded, but remains on the HTC logo, and not go forward.
If you had the same problem please tell me how you resolved? Thank you.

i just reflashed the rom.....that is all......i rebooted my phone into bootloader then i let the ruu do his job.....also try doing a factory reset from bootloader
BUt a question...you are trying to return to stock after revolutionary s off?

Run the ruu without attached device, don't close the the window.
Search inside your temp folder for the rom.zip, copy it to another folder and close the window.
Inside the rom.zip remove the hboot.img and recovery.img.
Flashing with bootloader:
Rename it to PG88IMG.zip.
Put it to the root of your sd.
Reboot to bootloader and follow the instructions.
Delete the pg88img.zip, otherwise it will try to flash it everytime you access the bootloader.
Flashing from recovery:
Put it to your sd.
Wipe all partitions except sd.
Flash it from recovery.

....extract the boot.img from the rom you flash via recovery and put it somewhere in your computer like C:\Android
then when you are in recovery open cmd connect your phone using the cable provided and type adb reboot bootloader
your phone will reboot in bootloader.now type in cmd fastboot flash boot C:\Android\boot.img
then reboot your phone.

That's why the hboot.img and the recovery.img needs to be deleted
Without those he still would stay s-off and with the same recovery, just the system, radio and kernel would be reverted back to stock

Stock Reset need RUU[Solved]

Hi all,
I have got this mobile from a second hand and have some troubles with it so I would like to reflash the original ROM to make it as the original. I have done some research but so far I can't find anywhere RUU version: RADIO-0.15.31501S.19_2 (I can see that on the HBOOT screen) with 1.53.61.3 (this showed me the flashing app as the original soft) software version as I get the 131 customer error and it won't let me to do it. The CID is ORAN001 or something like that. I understand that I need to change that to SuperCID or use the exact original RUU to make the phone work. The sd card won't mount so I don't think it's possible to change the CID to 11111111. It looks like there was the original software (don't know which one but it's in the UK) then someone has unlocked the phone and installed through CWM Orange UK Ville.zip. and finally me another Ville.zip (JB but wifi and some other features won't work). The phone is soft bricked now and won't work as I couldn't reflash the original ROM because I don't have it and when I was trying to reflash it by version 1.53.161.3 the 131 error came up and ended my effort. The phone has an Orange cid now so if I will change it to generic I will be able to reflash it? The problem is that the Orange soft was installed from an Orange_UK.zip ROM, not from a RUU so I don't know what the original ROM is. If I understand I have to change cid to generic like htc_001 then flash a stock Orange ROM, relock the bootloader and then install an HTC Europe RUU to make the phone as a sim free?? Could you point me to that tutorial how to change cid, please?

As far as I know there is no orange ruu out there. Once you change your cid you can install pretty much any ruu you like. Link to tutorial is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26516911#post26516911

When I follow the instructions an error comes up:

I think it's in bootloader. Says usb fastboot. Another problem with the phone is that sd card won't mount. Do you mean recovery (black screen CWM) with the menu like reboot now, install zip from sd card, advanced, mount storage etc?? No, the phone is in HBOOT as fastboot usb..

I had to be in the recovery screen for the adb shell to work. I had twrp recovery installed but i believe cwm shoulf be fine too.

Thanks, I'll give it a try tonight. I'm quite familiar with linux so I thought that I could boot to the Orange ROM because it's still installed on the sd card, then remove the cm10 with JB I'm in now and finally reflash the original stock ROM which I can't determine what it was..

Your best bet is to RUU it so then you can start fresh.

Yep, RUU will work, I think. Go to bootloader, re-lock it (fastboot oem lock). Your phone will reboot to bootloader. Just plug-in USB to PC and start the RUU.

So one day of searching and nothing so I hope someone could help me.?
Sensation XE, S-on, Hboot 1.29
Did the htcdev, tried to flash but now stuck on htc screen..
Got the Htc Sync installed and the two versions of the SDK.
Fastboot recognises the phone but the adb does not.
So I can open the phone in bootloader mode but thats it.. Any ideas how I can get my phone back to normal?
A simple answer would be nice

did you try to flash a custom rom?
if yes what recovery are you using?
edit:if you don't have 4ext recovery installed then do only step 2 from here

ok so ive been reading so much now about everything so my head is spinning..
I did the htcdev. Then i think i flashed the TWRP and that is probably were it all went wrong..?
Cant do adb becuse it doesnt recognise the phone...

Hi,
Follow rzr86's link and install 4 EXT recovery.
This has the option called "Smartflash" which you need to flash ROMS/kernels.

Cant do 4EXT becouse when I press recover it will jump to htc screen and freeze..
got the cid code and it said HTC_001.. the only RUU finishing with 001 was O2_UK_O2. Could it be the one?
Got this phone from UK..

So I found the rigth RUU with image 3.33.401.153.
But in the middle I get error 155.
?
could this be any harder??

Ou my god I did it!
Had to lock it again = fastboot oem lock , or what it was and then I ran the RUU and it worked!!

Htc has already released desire 826 in india as well as china also they hv released kernel source for both version interested developers plz build customer recoveries for this device so we can also enjoy custom themes & roms on it , kernel source code can be found here

Yes I am looking for English HTC Desire 826 ROM badly. I bought a phone in China and I believe it have HK / CHT kernel which only works in Hong Kong and China as Google Play store is in Chinese. I have tried all options listed in different threads but no luck. Know I see a WWE Kernel which I think stands for World Wide Edition probably have English Google Play store. Hopefully somebody releases ROM based on WWE Kernel so I can get my phone back to English Play Store.

i just brought htc desire 826 i unlocked the bootloader using the method mentioned in htcdev.com after that i tried to flash superuser.zip but after flashing the file my device keep saying that google apps not working so tried to reset the device using twrp recovery but accidently i wiped the system now no os is installed in my system i tried to find the stock ruu file for my device but i didn't find it any where my deviced is unlocked nd S-ON and usb debugging is also disabled so now i cannot flash any update zip file because in htc 826 twrp recovery there is no option for flashing files via external card files can only be flashed which are in internal storage and i cannot mount the sd card because it need S-OFF and i cannot do that because usb debugging is not unable so i am stuck then i went to htc service center they were also unable to flash the ruu file because of cid error the suggest me to change the motherboard and that will cost me 11000 rupees which i cannot pay so help me to find the accurate ruuu or fuu file which can be flashed in my device
