[Q] HTC Update for Windows Phone

Zune says there is an HTC Update for my HD7. No other details. I have unlocked(sideload) my HD7 through petbede's way. Anyone think this will re-lock my phone?

I just got mine too. but it didnt reset my dev unlock. and no sign of wifi tether too :/

I just receive the updating and I'm updating while i'm typing now.It seems to be a very big update from HTC.

No it isn´t

receive an error message.Maybe it's due to my memory remain abt 9 gb+.will try and update again.

I got a message about this update.
My current firmware revision: 2250.21.40600.707.
Updating now..
EDIT:
Installed: firmware revision now 2250.21.50001.707. No sign of "internet sharing" under system settings, so looks like it was just bug fixes. Just to note, my ROM's installed languages (English, Chinesese Traditional, Chinese simplified) were retained - so looks like once you have X languages, they're there forever.

its firmware update,
does nothing to yr OS..
i beleive the tethering fucntion may be enabled thru a marketplace app from microsoft..i am not sure but highly possible

Another thing to note is that your carrier must also authorize the capability for internet sharing.

Yeah. I'm running deepshining v1.3 on my HD7 for now. Waiting for dot's next release, which hopefully includes tethering!

i installed this update thru Zune after reverting back to nodo
looks like the battery has improved
HTC HD7

normally my phone charge awhile full
after this firmware update my phone able to charge longer 2 times and usage is longer then normal

guess we need to wait for the tethering or wirelees.

How to instal MIUIv4 zero

I have s-off and 6.98.0002 hboot and when i install this rom its stuck on HTC bootimage and dont move.

you need hboot with /system/lib support.
try flash 7.00.1002. link in my sig

its dont working again

did you reflash the rom?
then this might be kernel issue. you probably need to flash a separate kernel before flashing the miui rom

Have you checked whether you have a Sony or mddi panel? Look in the non-Sony panel thread in the general section.

The op's phone is s-off, so there's no need to flash boot.img or anything.

I cant make the symbol. dmesg space grep - i panel. How can i make this

i could be wrong on this
but i do remember there were posts on some chinese forums where ppl got stuck with miui v4.0 on their s-off phones. and they needed both hboot update as well as stock ics kernel prior to flashing the rom.

basically the op said if you got stuck on first screen after flashing official v4.0. then flash stock sense 3.6 kernel, then 99% chance you will be good to go
two things to note while flashing official 4.0, 1) upgrade hboot to 2.x, 2) stock kernel

Have you tried copying and pasting? Or else, if you have adb set up on your pc:
adb shell
And then typing the command.

With your panel model (non Sony) you can forget any ROM running on Andromadus kernel or its modification. That covers all JB based ROMs for Desire S. You can always use the non-Sony kernel by Andromadus to get the ROM booting, but there will be high battery drain due to 100 % brightness of the screen all the time you use it.

[Q] JB XXMS1 NeatROM LITE - Auto rotation not working

Hi,
It has been 3 days since I flashed Neat ROM lite from this
thread for my SGS2. There are almost no issues till now except for some lag every time I reboot my phone and the annoying thing that auto-rotation does not seem to work. Even with the button, it does not work. I have tried everything from calibration to changing the property in feature.xml.
Anything I need to do, am I missing something?
Below are the details:
Kernel version: 3.0.31-863787
ROM: NeatROM Lite v4.4 XXMS1
P.S.: I am new to this

Yes, from India. I guess it's related to the ROM. I read on some other forum that this problem has always been there with NeatROM.

Heartbleed update booting in recovery

So i am getting notification about software update , security fix for heartbleed bug.
I click install now, then my phone instantly reboots into twrp recovery... i restart system and get the same notification again.
Phone is rooted offcourse... any help will be much appreciated

All OTAs require stock recovery to install. It keeps going to recovery, because that is what its supposed to do (in order to install the update). But when it doesn't find the proper recovery, it fails.

That narrows your current ROM to about 1 of 20 4.2.2 ROMs available for Evita.
I could take a guess based on percentages that you are likely an AT&T user with 5.18.502.1?

Rule #1 is do not flash stuff to phones you have modified. Official updates are NOT intended for modified phones.
Rule #2 listen to the advice of senior members in your correct forum

Datafix for Aurora Note 5 port V7 ROM

After a lot of try with another datafix including #petbede datafix, my phone doesn't regconize SIM and cannot registered network.
If it has, always show "System UI has stopped".
i just sent a little of time and make datafix for my phone, and thanks god, it's worked. I want to share with all of you.

I flash the rom with your procedure but when i reboot the rom and click on the app drawer now the phone has rapidly power off and not on with power button until I connect the charger plz give me any solution to resolve this? sory for my bad eng!

UI mod: undo round corners tweak & removes Chinese lunar date from expanded status bar.

Did you follow the instruction in OP ? Just update kernel to Ram kernel to RC 3 or clean install the rom, flash all zip file i had told in OP.

i just update some link, trying download and reflash again.This rom work flawless and i use it for daily use.

I just ask one more question which bootloader required for this rom and the video player icon not showing in apps ? How to enable this? Once again thanks brother for helping me.

bootloader and modem version : DQC1 or newer.
The video library apk has been removed from the rom, if you want to play video, open gallery and click on it, Video player will running. If you want video library appeared in app drawer again, try downloading on apk mirror and install it like a normal app.
