hey all,
i have htc sensation with clock work mod recovery.
is it possible to flash Revolution HD 6.7.2 rom without super cid?
you must have installed 4EXT recovery in order to flash Android Revolution HD 6.7.2
see also this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1631861
Custom ROMs don't check CID, only the official RUUs do.
I am assuming you have full S-OFF and the correct firmware which will be listed in the ROMs OP.

Hello, due to a loooong story, I have hboot 1.23 and well as some of you may know its terrible, I now cannot flash any files at all via hboot and my firmware is 3.12 but the problem is I love ics and so, can anybody please find me any roms that have ics and run on firmware 3.12 not 3.24 or anything else. It will probably be android version 4.01 or could be 4.03 but it would have stated firmware 3.2. I don't mind even if the roms are outdated versions of the newest version of roms, such as arhd 6.0.0 instead of what is being used now.
Thanks.
Do you have s off? If you do just flash the firmware that has the 1.27 unlocked h boot 1.27 and flash the ICS Rom you want.

no i dont have s-off.I tried to get to stock and wrote s-on incorrectly (apparently).
Now i can't really do anything until revolutionary updates, i have to stay with the ooooold roms.
COREDROID 4.0 works on 1.23, the problem is you can't flash radios which isn't in this ICS ROM. So you're s on. I am assuming you used HTC unlock. I assume you have root and custom recovery. What did you do exactly.

I used to run Virtuous Inquisition on HBOOT 1.23, in fact I've only recently changed to 1.27.
How did you change to 1.27? I thought hboot 1.23 did not have firmware flashing or any advanced fastboot commands...

Well yes. I had to use HTCdev because I wrote s on wrong and my bootloafer was locked so I ran htcdev, flashed recovery and now I'm s-on without being able to change ny hboot or anything at all now.

If you have s off you can flash any firmware with 1.23. Why do you refuse to understand that 1.23 s on is your problem, yes you are in fact stuck there. No matter how many threads you ask the same thing in, sorry but it's the truth.

first flash back to 1.17
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300
Do I need to revert to old firmware to S-on and go back to stock Rom?
FFS people, doesn't anyone actually make sure they know what to do BEFORE rooting in the first place??
1. Flash old 1.17 FW (unless you're Super CID, in which case you may not need to)
2. Flash the RUU of your choice (normally the one your phone came with, if available)
3. Reset Super CID to one of your choice (again, usually the one your phone came with)
4. S-ON using the fastboot command in the guide in the Dev forum
^^^^
i will take some info from someone..how i can see CID without root ??
I recently used htcdev, rooted and installed recovery. After this I tried to flash several roms but all stocked at the bootanimations.. what am I supposed to do? I'm running CWM recovery 4.0.1 - HTC Sensation XE - S-ON and hboot 1.29

Hmm I followed it and managed to install an aosp rom.. however I'd like to install ViperS and that didn't work. I noticed that ViperS had all these kernel things, does that mean I need s-off to install it?

Use 4EXT Recovery then enable smart flash.
And for S-OFF I would recommend it because it will make life a lot easier

when you flashed 3.32fw or 3.3fw then you had to install an ics or jelly bean rom
an older rom won't boot with these fw versions
if you want stock rom see here

Hey guys,
After reading a lot of guides to flash a custom Rom to sensation ... i just want to to know 2 things:
First: is Recovery is mandatory? if yes.. why?
Second: i want to flash roms like ViperS rom or CM10... the steps i understood so far is :
1-S-OFF using [GUIDE] Juopunutbear S-OFF NO HTCDEV UNLOCK | ROOT (1.2x HBOOTS)--NEW: ONE CLICK ROOT
2-Flash the custom rom ... but really i don't know the exact steps to do that ....
I just want ordered guides to read to help me flash the rom.
My Sensation:
HBOOT 1.27
Software 3.33.415.51
Android version: 4.03
Best Regards,
Get s off
Install custom recovery ( must have for flashing custom rom )
Flash rom in recovery
