Thanks but this is just the update. Birgertime was talking about creating a stock rooted flashable ROM for those of us who are rooted.
I know, I was informing the OP that he was beaten to the link - wasn't clear enough!

MY MOM!
I am using stock tmobile RUU_Pyramid_TMOUS_1.29.531.2_Radio_10.42.9007.00P_10.11.9007.15_M_release_193714_signed and S-OFF. I applied the update and it works. I am on 2.3.4 and it is very smooth and fast.
Gordo,
I have s-off via Revolutionary and am rooted. I downloaded this OTA update, but it will not install? How did you do it?

[Q] Return to Stock - so confused - Link?

THIS ONE is newer, faster and better on battery. Also includes rooting tools (to be flashed from recovery).
One malybru quoted is also good, but is GB, one i linked is ICS.
P.S. I'm using it at the moment and am very happy with it (rooted)

Hi,
All I know is that it is very close to stock.
I have never tried it myself.
It will not hurt to try it for yourself.
You can of course flash an RUU of your region and carrier.
This will return your entire phone(including recovery) back to stock.
It will leave you s-0ff.

No, if you still want s-off and root you are better off flashing one of the stock roms.
With ruu you will lose root, custom recovery and other goodies.
BTW, if you have a look under our avatars you will see why we cannot be on T-Mobile US.

Look for shipped roms in development forum. Find one for T-Mobile us, run from windows with phone connected via USB.

RUU stands for ROM Update Utility. It is a utility you run on your computer to flash your device via USB.

If you want stock ICS go with ARHD and never look back. If you want GB stock rooted flash the RUU from that stock builds thread and follow the guide to root.

[Q] anyone know where i can find 4.2 update?

my phone won't update over the air was wondering if anyone knew where i could download it and install it myself? couldn't find on the htc site
There are no official 4.2 update for sensation and seems it will not get it at all. If you want fresh Android version you can consider to buy another phone nexus4 for example. Personaly I will never buy htc phone ever.

Hi,
Sorry,I misread your post.
4.0.2 is ICS and has officially been available for some time.
If you are rooted, you can get a version of it in the dev section.
Android 4.0.3 is also out for Sensation. Get that

i mean if you want to flash an ICS 4.0.3 rom or ics firmware you have to be rooted first
and surely S-OFF for the ics firmware
Rooted is basically unlocking your phone and bypassing HTC security so that you can flash unofficial firmware and ROMs
Check in the Android Developing area for ROMs... IMO The 4.2 roms aren't running great as of yet...Still new technology for this phone...Give them some time. There is a great ROM I just came across today and tried that is OpenSensation - the latest 2.27.13 build. It looks just like the 4.2 roms (I've already flashed most of them) but it runs amazing on this phone. Its a 4.0.4 build and its simply fantastic. I would give it a try if I was you. Mind you, you will need to root your phone if you already haven't as well as get a recovery such as CWM (clock work manager).

[Q] Flashing a ROM on HTC Sensation 4g

Hello everyone,
I recently bought HTC Sensation 4g (T-mobile) and it's already S-OFF, rooted (Superuser by ClockworkMod) and recovery is CWM 5.0.2.0 and it has stock rom Android 2.3.4. Recently, I got alerted about an update of 4.0.4 for my HTC then I downloaded it but can't install it so I guess it's because it's rooted. I really want to install 4.0.4 on my HTC sensation 4g then I searched up for roms until I found this rom - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1654347
Now, my question is, how should I flash it? Should I normally just flash it via CWM or via odin? Or I will have to go back to stock recovery for flashing the rom that Steve0007 posted on the thread linked above. And just to confirm, is it compatible with my device?
Android: 2.3.4
HTC Sense: 3.0
Software number: 1.50.531.1
Thanks!

First upgrade your firmware to 3.33universal
Go to the development section and search for kohr-ah's thread
Follow the instructions carefully and before flashing check md5 sums(important)
After that you have to flash an ics or jellybean Rom because your current Rom won't boot with ics firmware
Edit:do not never use Odin for anything.it is not for sensation devices
