Morning All,
This is the first time I have posted in a forum so please bare with me if i have posted this in the wrong place etc.
I have a HTC Sensation XE with beats audio. Since the new update of ICS was installed on to my phone I have had nothing but problems.
First of all after using certain apps or programs my phone automatically resets itself. This in turn causes other programs such as my alarm clock to stop functioning. Has this happened to anyone else? If so were there any solutions to make it stop or do I need to contact HTC myself and get them to fix my phone?
If anyone has any suggestions I would be most grateful.
Thanks
Em
PS I have already restored my phone to factory settings once and it last 3 weeks before the problem started again.

So the other day my HTC Incredible running the stock rom locked up on my and it wouldn't do anything for 5 minutes so i pulled the battery to reboot. After I did that all my applications were screwed. Only the ones on my phone worked anything on my SD were not working. Even after I installed them they wouldn't work unless I uninstalled them after the reinstall and then reinstalled them again. So basicly I had to install them twice to fix them.
But now my faceboook for htc sense widget is not in the list and I can't seem to get it back. Can someone please help me out with some suggestions.
Thanks.
Try another battery pull. If that doesnt work, you will have to try a hard reset.
hi i recently rooted my htc desire phone where i uninstalled facebook, peep and other unwanted apps. i now receive 2 errors, one is when i click on call history it says 'the process android.process.acore has stopped....' and the other error is htc.bgp. ive tried to reset the phone to factory settings but it didnt help as i am still receiving the errors. how do i reinstall the preinstalled apps on my htc desire?
thank you very much
hope to hear from you soon
I'm running a stock sensation and recently my messages have started appearing in the wrong order. Say I text someone and they reply straight away, when I go into the conversation the message I sent appears last, which obviously isn't right. I used to have this problem on my old Hero too. I don't know if it's to do with both messages being sent during the same minute or not, or if it's due to the recipients time on their phone. Anyone else have this problem?
You can download sms fix from the android market and give that a try. I've seen a similar problem in one of the Htc forums but i can't remember where.
Edit.
I had a little look for you and found this:

I hope it helps.
I had the issue as well. What I did was just go to settings > date and time and check the "automatic" box at the top.
Hope that works.

I remember this issue on some of the older HTC devices. At the time HTC said it was a feature :S
HTC's timeservers are occasionally out of sync by 10 minutes. No idea why.
Hi, there. I have a T-Mobile HTC One S since over a year.
I am facing a strange issue since past one week. I cant hear any call - when I make or receive calls. Even the ringtones and alarms are not transmitted through the speakers. It appears that the sound profile is not working at all. Strangely every other thing os working fine - data, messaging, apps, etc.
One more information. When the issue surfaced initially - when calls were received the phone hanged and restarted. Then it gave a message that phone recovered from abnormal reset and asked for sending error report to HTC, which I did.
This happened 3-4 times.
I called the HTC support in India. They said since its a international phone they dont have software/ hardware support. They advised me to reset the phone which I did, but the issue still remains. I even deleted all phone storage.
Pls help as I am stuck.

I had the same exact issue after installing a custom rom. What ROM are you on? What kernel? need more information to diagnose a problem like that. The first place I would start is a factory reset, or reflash whatever ROM you are on. If you are stock, then try a factory reset first, and report back. Also give as much info as to firmware, rom, kernel, etc...
Hope this helps!!

I am with latest T-Mobile HTC ROM. I have already done a factory reset and deleted phone storage. This has not helped.
Details are as under:
Android 4.1.1
HTC Sense 4+
Software 3.14.531.17710RD
HTC SDK API 4.63
Kernel 3.4.10.g0f5103e
[email protected]#1
Baseband 1.13.50.05.31_10.30.50.08L
Build 3.14.531.17 CL160314 release-keys
Then there is a possibility of it being a hardware issue. When was the last time you remember it working? Can you recall any apps you Installed right before it stopped working, or any changes you made? It sounds as if you're on all stock software, so it shouldn't be anything to do with firmware, or Rom. The only thing I can think of is some app that is interfering, or hardware issue. And since you did factory reset, it doesn't make sense for it to be app interference. Do all other sounds and sound related functions on your phone work?
Sorry I could not be of more help. It may be something hardware related, which would be something to have fixed HTC or replaced under warranty, if you have one.

Hello guys,
I'm having a problem with my phone. I perform a full wipe (of everything except for bootloader) and then get the stock ICS by a RUU. When I upgraded to jellybean 4.2.2, some problems came, for example that, when I refresh the Blinkfeed page, I get the "com.htc.opensense.social has stop unexpectedly" error or the soft-touch keys don't vibrate when I touch'em. I tried to wipe again, but nothing. They are little issues, but a bit annoying. Anyone has an idea?
Im having same issue com.htc.opensocial. its a sync error for facebook or something else. I cant solve it fully
htc put facebook plugin on play store, if you see it try upgrading.
Today I've never seen it, so I hopped the problem was misteriously solved, but just five minutes ago, my homescreen freezed for some seconds after tapped on an app and it returned. It isn't a serious problem, 'cause Blinkfeed updates, but it's annoying seeing every times I refresh it this error. Looking for that plugin now...

Update:
First, I didn't find the plugin mentioned by xpirt, then I solved deleting data from facebook and facebook for HTC sense, going into Blinkfeed's option, deleting facebook's updates on it, refreshing it and, finally, re-put facebook on Blinkfeed.
