Hi.
I would like to install ICE DS, im coming from Fallout
This would me my second attempt to install ICS Rom.
HTC Dev Unlocked
S-ON / do i need to S-OFF? It is currently S-ON with Fallout.
And i don't know how to S-OFF this coming from Fallout, and it seems i can't use the revolutionary.
HBOOT 2.0.0002
Radio 3822.10.08.04_M
So there.
Thanks.
You don't have to be s-off to flash a ROM, but you have to flash the boot.img (the kernel) with fastboot.
Do a forum search for more details, the are a lot tutorials out there.

Thanks.

Hello!
I want to update my desire s to ics official update.
Went talk to the contact center and they told me that this update is better only for advanced users .
then i asked if i update and dont like it , can i downgrade?
they tolde me that its possible but i have to send my phone to a repair center so then they can do it.
Is there a way to do it by myself ?
where can i download gb stock rom portuguese version ?
i would like to try ics but if i cant downgrade its diffuclt for me because i dont know if the ics work smooth.
thanks a lot

its best that you dont update with the official RUU because it changes your bootloader. If you dont want S-OFF, read this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1525100 or if you want be S-OFF (best choice): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1318919.
If you want be S-OFF update your HBOOT with one of this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1679338 or http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1236890
And finally you can flash a custom rom in my opinion the best are Fallout (sense 4A), Virtuous (full sense 4) and ICE DS (sense 3.6). All of this roms are android 4 (Ice Cream Sandwich). I hope that i will explain well.
Happy flashing!!!!

If you want official RUU, read this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1858508 but is better a custom ICS ROM because you can overclocking and undervolting with amida's kernel and get more optimizations and tweaks. :good:
mine is S-on
You can flash the pg88img.zip directly if you want only the Ruu, flash it in bootloader. You can find it in mine last post.
Edit: but you need your s-on bootloader locked yo do it

with the s-on ? just by installing through ruu ?
No, read well the guides, inside them are well explained the procedement to all! But I repeat you that the best choice is get s-off or htc-dev unlocked and install a custom rom, then you can get being s-off change in a easy way from ginger to ics or ics to ginger! I hope that i explained well.

Ok, then install a recovery over fastboot and then make a full wipe in you recovery ( 4ext is a great choice) and flash a custom rom with ics. If you want only ruu, put the pg88img.zip in the root of your sd and flash it through your bootloader. Ok?

Dear All
I have sensation XE stock rom ICS 3.23.206.151 HBOOT 1.27
Need to :
1- S-OFF
2- Root
3- change the Europian stock rom to Arabic stock rom
I know how to S-OFF from HTCDev website
I have the ICS 4.0.3 Arabic stock rom (Is there Gilly Bean?)
Now what to do? I need steps with links to details
If you haven't already used the HTC Dev website, DON'T!!!!
Doing so will make this process MORE difficult, not less.
The HTC Dev website will not S-Off your device. It will only unlock part of the bootloader. You want the whole thing unlocked with true S-Off.
And it's easier to do it on the 1.27 HBoot than it used to be.
See this thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1661631
Ganeshp is a super helpful guy and pretty much any question you have will already been answered by him in that thread.
If you have already done the HTC Deve unlock, use this guide to S-Off instead...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1614617
It's a little more complicated, but it's making up for the problems that HTC Dev causes.
One of these two guides will get you S-Off. Once you have that accomplished loading a new ROM is the easy part.
But one step at a time. Get S-Off and if you have questions on a new ROM install come abck and I'll help you with that.
Thanks, I did not do the HTCDev unlock yet
so,
1 - I will use JB TOOL to unlock (S-Off)
2 - I will use One click root tool
both from : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1661631
Then what?

Buy the app from the Play Store. Its cheap. And it will flash the recovery for you. Plus the app is a great manager of all kinds of stuff dealing with recovery.

You have two options
First is to follow the guide with flashing roms with s-on
It exists in general section
Second is to use ganeshp's guide to s-off and then root
In general section too
I can't post links because I am using xda app

Sorry if I repeated any of these questions, I can't find any in previous comments.. Because I really really confuse with hboot, and s-off thing.
I have a s-off sensation XE, cwm installed, with OrDroid v9.0.0 running, can I flash viperS 3.0.1 ROm with cwm? Any specific hboot version needed? I can't seems to find from other post. Thanks for the help.

But i dont know how i get back to stock could somebody please help me ?

If you just want to be on a stock Sense ROM, just flash a stock rooted ROM from Development.
Or restore the nandroid backup you made before you flashed CM10.2. You did a nandroid, right?

Any ROM you want. Either pick a stock rooted ROM from my Index, or any of the custom ROMs (Sense based, if you want to get back to Sense).

Just pick a ROM from the "CUSTOM ROMs" section, and flash it (stock rooted ROMs are also included at the bottom of that section). No guide should be needed, if you already flashed a ROM before.

Um, no, you're wrong. This is the AT&T One X / HTC One XL forum. It's a completely different phone. The HTC One X forum is here.
Stay in that forum, if you flash anything from here you WILL brick your phone.
