Hello I write for the second time because I've got blocked htc rhyme, which I unlocked and root access, but no s-off, and no way does not work fully with me. I wanted to reinstall the stock rom, and it unroot However, this does not happen I do not find topic unroot ... error appears to me is that it is wrong version bootlodaer. I am afraid that I can not install the update at the end of the month when he came. I wanted to install Chinese and ruu update 4.0 for it, but I need s-off. Neither forward nor backward ..... if someone their idea of how it unroot and reinstall stock rom and wait to update or get s-off and let drove the Chinese to write, I'll be very grateful.
I apologize for my bad English

Now when i try load my backup i have still 7.1.7720 ,still locked!
Can anyone tell me what can i do?
Or can i flash another ROM?
Thanks a lot
If you can't restore to a version with a working unlock, flashing is your only option.
I have a similar problem - no unlock after the update (I was coming from NoDo via 7403, and it didn't even give me time to do anything inbetween). I haven't tried restoring yet.
Ok i accept this.Can you help me,which HSPL a ROM etc i need install?(i don't understand it all)
I'll send you all information,please help me
Sorry but I don't know... You don't have to go the HSPL route though, a stock ROM will do as well. The only problem is figuring out what went wrong any how to avoid the problem next time.
How can i found good stock Rom for my phone?
I have Htc trophy (Ge vodafone)
You have to go to your device forums here on xda, they'll help you out over there.
Dear all,
I am in the middle of the bridge and don't know where to go...could you please give some help deciding what to do?
I have a Branded Desire S (Vodafone) with v2.3.5 lastest OTA update, and I would like to flash and try the ICS stock WWE from HTCDEV.
The simlock has already been removed, but the thing is can i flash this ICS update? do i need any goldcard or anything of the kind? Will the phone work ok? Or do i have to wait (maybe forever...) for the vodafone update? I reallly would like to unbrand the phone (the vodafone logo and other vodefone apps are really annoying...).
I think if this WWE update will go ok, when i received and warning about any vodafone update (because the serial indicates that this phone is a vodafone one) i have to ignore it and only apply only any WWE updates from HTCDEV, rather than that, i thing phone will work ok... but still i am worried about some things like :
- bricking phone with ICS update;
- some things don't work ok with this update because is a branded phone (i chat with HTC support and they told me that some guy complained about WIFI does not work after the ICS update, ... could it be possible, even if the hardware is the same from branded and unbranded phones?;
- possibility to go back to a 2.3.5 rom if i dont like for whatever reason of the ICS of its behavior on this phone; the HTC guy told me that only on the HTC assistance was possible to make it ... dont we just have to run the correct version of the ROM (by the way i don't know which is mine, could you please tell me? Because i seached on the HTCDEV for the right software number (2.10.168.3) and the file to download is a ".gz" file not a .exe one;
Other thing, does this ICS include a PTG (Portugal) language.
I will be forever grateful for all the help / hints you can give me.:good:
Thx in advance.

From what I've heard, the ics update has bugs, that can only be solved with root access. Flashing the ruu should work fine though, but you won't be able to downgrade without unlocking the bootloader to get root access.
For these reasons I would recommend making your phone s-off (see guides in the "general section), and installing a fixed version of the ics update, or whatever custom rom you want. Then you can still go back to the original state, if you want to.
I read somewhere on my downgrade guide that they have successfully debranded their phone using my guide.
Sent from my HTC Desire S using xda app-developers app
Ditto to above two comments, read, read and then soff rather than htcdev
Sywepd form my DsereiS
Thx for tips, Will soff erase contacts or apps? For root with soff how to flash su??? Is there any repaired / bugless ics stock?
Guys,
I`been searching for a week here in the forum an answer for my doubt, so I can start flashing custom roms.
I have an at&t HOX with 1.85 firmware, but I don`t live in USA, but in Brasil.
Every thread I`ve looked tells me to use this method (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1709296) for rooting my cellphone, but I concernd about something.
One of the steps of this method tells me to check for an update via OTA, and then write a code. The point is, i`m not in USA so I have no way to check for OTA softwares updates, so i`m affraid of trying doing this and something bad happen...
Anyone knows if it is safe?!?!
Thank you in advance!!!

Yes its safe. Alternatively you could upgrade to 2.20 and root using xfactor, unlock your boot loader and then optionally downgrade your hboot If you want yo flash kernels and radios in recovery

This Guide is to SIM-Unlock your HTC Desire S.
It worked for me 2 times on vodafone locked devices.
Its very Simple just Download via HTC Dev Center the Android 4.0 WWE RUU and Install it.
You need a locked bootloader to Do This.
After then your phone should be automatically unlocked.
Let me Know if something went wrong.
Got excited when I saw this thinking CID changing had been achieved. Anyway,
This does debrand, but I'd hesitate before suggesting people flash HTCDev's 4.0.4 due to its bugs and how you can't temproot it after.
Yes i flashed this RUU onto my desire, it is buggy, i am going back to full root again, i can not find the original ROM for the desire for gingerbread for the life in me or i would re flash it and get rid of the bugs on ICS.
Hi all
I bought a phone. I did the 6.25.605.3 update. The phone is stock factory, never rooted etc... Now, I would like to install the Viper rom. The phone is S-On and bootloader is locked. I tried different method ( Htcdev... ) but impossible to unlock the bootloader. someone could help me, please.
Thks
Since you are now on MarshMallow Android 6.0, SunShine will no longer work (Software S-OFF exploit - $25).
Now you are like us M9 users have been since day1, it's a heck of a lot better than nothing though.
You will need to ship your device to an owner of a Java Card, or XTC2Clip.
See thread here for who has one and to post.

Thank you. It's a very bad news. I'm living Madagascar.... Maybe any member find a solution soon ....
