So I'm following lumins guide for heimdall one click kj6 and every time it gets stuck at uploading the kernel modem or factoryfs. I can't do anything with my phone but look at the alternative download mode screen and I've never had these problems with heimdall before

What Exodian said, but make sure you have some charge on the battery first. Else it might happen again.

Try Odining the KC1 ROM posted by RaverX3X if you can get into download mode. That usually clears up all problems.
get a usb jig $6-$8 soft bricks will never be a problem.

Unfortunately, a newer member can look for an Odin One-Click all day and not find it because it is called Gremlin Remover. Take that into consideration when helping.
OP: Look at the guide in the second link of my signature for help. Were you already on Gingerbread before flashing the kernel?
Sorry, meant this

Thanks. Now, do you know where can i get the original kernel of the phone?
The heimdall sets the phone completely back to stock, kernel and all
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA
and where can i get the unbrick files?
It does everything for you, sets ROM back to stock, sets kernel back to stock, and fixed your phone if it's bricked, just follow the instructions and you should be back to normal

Weird... Take out the battery wait a minute then force Recovery mode... If it works clear cache and Factory Reset.

Pull battery back, press power+vol up+vol down... When Samsung logo shows up release power button (keeping holding up&down buttons) until recovery appears.

Looks more like you need to flash GB bootloaders. Qkster has a stickie that talks about it and using Heimdall.

This happened to me when I tried to update to the official UCLB3 using Kies Mini. I flashed back to stock using GTG's Ultimate Unbrick and then used Kies Mini to update to UCLB3 (giving me GB bootloaders). I've been flashing ROMs since without any problems (after rooting and adding a custom recovery, of course).

Does Heimdall recognize the phone? If, yes flash the bootloaders. If not, report back as to what you are doing to get to download mode.

Dear all,
I am now on a MTD rom, and I need to go back to a BML. I'm assuming that to do that I need to either use Heimdal 1-click or the gremlin remover. Since my mother's pc has proven to give issues with its usb connection, while my mac seems way more reliable, I was wondering if there's a stock I could flash with Mac.
Thanks!
The heimdall one click works with Mac.

IDK yet
Well hello, i recently upgraded phone to 2.3 (ginger bread) and wanted to go alittle higher.
I followed this tutorial to the 'T' meaning if he said jump while holdin the phone, I would jump exactly how he did, that's how precise i was with the instructions he gave.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?annota...&feature=iv&src_vid=xWBcSyj8vzU&v=ndC39t1AE-k
After following his instructions and i rebooted phoneto go into the volume - + + and power button menu, the screen looked a little shattered or blurry, im not sure how to define it, but i cant see the options that i'm selecting. but they are selectable. i tried following his directions blindly, but that file wasn't the only zip file on the internal memory card so im not sure which file im selecting.
Is there any way i can get back to gingerbread?
Just Odin back to stock, and was recovery filled with rainbows?

Go back to gingerbread 2.3.6 using odin and when you are done flashing gingerbread flash the bootloaders.
