Hello,
I tested the volume boost mod on my S3 gt-i9300 rom stock + CFroot (xxlef / xxalef) buyed in France.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1722136
System/etc/default_gain.conf
I tested and read entire thread without success, no effect on my phone (speaker or headphone).
This file is present, but is ignored. Someone else tried the volume boost with a non-US phone ?
Pascal
workaround
This mod don't work on XXALEF, International gs3,
For my volume boost, headphone only, (I don't want the speaker killer boost) :
I used Franco Kernel, now I get a full power sound. (62 by default inside /sys/class/misc/sound_control/volume_boost)

Hey guys im a noob and have a Droid 2 and did liberty 1.5 rom install, went great, then did UD Theme from liberty toolbox. found earpiece volume in calls lower then it was before install, is there a way to increase earpiece volume ? besides the obvious volume control button. (its all the way up) Thats the only issue i seem to be having...... Help ?
Hello I never had a problem with my volume on my sprint note 2 i use my beats and they where working loud and great also used a equalizer .
until i updated my phone now my volume is real real real low and if i try using any of the equalizers in the market it just lowers my music volume down please help
Hi @ all,
I recently purchased the Moto G and installed (after testing all functions) the newest Cyanogen ROM. I'm quite happy with the overall performance of the device.
One problem is still annoying me though: The volume of every type (ringtone, in-call,...) of the headphone jack is much too loud, even on its lowest setting, since I'm using very high efficiency IEM's. The DSP-Manager doesn't appear to work (does not request root access, no change in volume when activated)
I've countered some parts of this issue with the following steps:
-The music volume is lowered by the Poweramp equalizer
-The volume of all custom ringtones, notifications and alarms is lowered by 15dB via Mp3Gain on my rig. This doesn't really help, because now the volume of all custom sounds is too low without the headphones. I barely get up in the morning, but it is definitely better than blowing out my eardrums.
So the question is: How can I activate the DSP-Manager? Or is there another way to solve this?
Thx a lot
EDIT: Solved the problem by increasing the overall volume steps to 45 via modification of the necessary .jar file via this great guide (http://chrisdube.com/increase-number-of-volume-steps-in-android/). DSP-MAnager works, but only with media volume.
I can listen to shhhhh. That's annoying. how do I revert volume to stock without loosing dual speakers mod? I remember there was a file, that had lines to modify volume.(srry for my English)

I mean from headphones
That is for headphones. That sound mod is included in the BatMan ROM and increases media playback volume system wide.
You will need to download a version of the mod that includes the dual speaker mod, but not the volume mods.
Hello, i recently changed rom and installed sound mod which is really nice (but not so loud honneslty) HOWEVER the INCALL volume (including on speaker) is way too loud at minimum settings.. LV1 is like MAX on a regular rom! On the other hand, without the mod it's not loud enough.. So i'm looking for a way to modify ONLY incall volume to make it a bit lower. How to? Hope you'll help me as it's dead on the sound mod thread. Thanks
