[Port]KaosGingerbread 3/30 [WIP]

So i was toying around with one of the kitchens on my linux box and was able to port kaos gingerbread to the heroc, it is pretty close to pure aosp i decided to post it up because i can
you can check out punk.kaos' original work/thread here
as i am not a dev i have no idea what the next steps would be to fixing some of the remaining issues but so far it seems to work (my hero is not connected to a network so their are things i cant inherently test)
what doesnt work
-bluetooth audio (connects but no audio pass through)
-LED notifications
-USB mass storage (still works in kernel so its def something user space i just dont know what files control it)
-camera just white screens ( a job for somebody way more skilled than I)
-gallery3d freaks out when changing orientation
unless stuff is a simple fix (like moving files from 1 rom to another) (i still have an aospGBmod version on my comp) it likely wont get fixed unless a dev wants to help out
other than those issues it seems to run fine

im happy about it too, but sadly their is some stuff that needs to be fixed that is above my scope of work

So basically, this is what we have to look forward too from AospCMod? From what I read in 5 minutes, Kaos basically did the same as Aosp does and based it from Cyanogenmod 7. Hes just brought it alot closer to Vanilla than Aosp so far.

hello everybody , i did a simple thing today for our Messaging[Mms.apk] as i themed it to blue ..
it's for GSM only with chrisrotolo Rom..

Download Mms.apk from the attachment
just put the Mms.apk into your sdcard and via RootExplorer or whatever way you prefer to move it to System\app .
P.S : it will replace your original Mms.apk so make sure you have it anywhere if you want later to return it

if you like the color to be changed just ask me and i will change to whatever color you want ex : black , green,pink etc

Well sorry for the late upload . Actually i had another problem and its my laptop (fckedup) by a cup of coffee over the keyboard caused my laptop to stop response to the keys.
I used my tab to upload it so enjoy it until i see whats gonna happen with my lapto

Well i guess our forum got no activity at all. Comparing to galaxy tab10.1 & gtab7.
I just pity my laptop cuz during im theme'ing the masseging,a whole cup of coffee fall on it xD.
That will cost me to buy new laptop

[Q] playstore problem in stock rooted, rom related too!!

So i dont own rhe device(my friend does , and turns out after rooting nexus5(by cf auto root), playstore apps are a bit pain in the butt..they just dont start downloading..the blue dashed line just continues and it doesnt start actually..(but if i restart..it contninues),..fun part , again if i try to install another app, it screws up again.....
PS- extra help would be appreciated if u guys can tell me which rom with max features and battery life available (i know i am supposed to read all forums, but seriously, u guys got hell of roms i cant even count ... I use carbon on another device of mine, but he got nexus, so,, linaro toolchain based, good battery life and most features ..thanks for reply!

try clearing the play store data, in manage apps, then reboot.

Many good roms available, its all about preference at the end of the day. I use SlimKat myself and i think its a tock stable rom with good batterylife.
Sometimes it helps to clear the data of Play, delete your Google account and reboot. Then select Play, type in your gmail adress and try if your issue is solved. Also look in Playstore on the pc in playstore/settings if your device is listed as active and unselect other possible active devices.

I was planning this ROM to make any discoveries of Paranoid Android which is Great Same to CyanogenMod 10! ParanoidAndroid Settings or Hybrid Mode is not working! :crying: (Hope I wanna fix this! :good: )
Camera-> Working but maybe crashes often[V2] and after pressing shutter, turns into Green Scale. However, Captured photo is not in Green Scale. So the animation makes a Green Scale and Sometimes will not Save,..,[V2]
Video camera-> Slowly records,[V2] and Crashes after pressing shutter. [V1]
Baseband Bug-> Cannot Detect SIM Card and also Signal, Possible the RIL was damaged or Unknown.,.

Today I read that also this year there will be an update to Android 14 and UI 6.0 .

I just updated too. It seems faster now.

Interesting. It does feel snappier. Not seeing bad battery as some on other devices have reported, but personally I feel these reports are due to people using phone more to play with new features.

I think that's a valid point .
Personally , I haven't noticed faster battery drain .
I even have the impression that it is a bit better and the phone works faster .
Turns on noticeably faster .
Of course , these are my subjective feelings .
