Hi,
This connection became permanent with ICS.
Try "Volume Control" from the market.
It looks like it has sliders for each control.

There are Volume control and Volume control + in the market, both paid and free, but the issue remains the same: even if there separate sliders for ringtone and notifications, they move in the same time and there is no way to set them independently. Thanks for your answer.

Is there a way to turn off ALL SOUNDS quickly?

I don't see why there needs me to so many choices when it comes to sounds. There's
Incoming call volume
Media volume
System volume
Notification volume
Is there a way to set the sound option to actually turn off/on ALL the sounds? Or at least group the Incoming call volume, system volume, and notification volumes together? For some reason, even my notification volume goes way down if I try to turn the ringtone volume down through the rocker yet it won't go back up unless I manually do it from the settings. It's a little annoying, this is the one thing from Apple that Android would copy. Running Infused v2.2.3 by the way.
Have you tried the sound button in your notification bar?
That turns off everything with 1 button.
Kinda obvious lol
Edit: it turns off all sounds except media volume.

Thanks captain obvious but I would like it to turn off sounds from apps too. It's annoying to have to always put the mute on in games.
There's also the problem of sounds from notifications changing too. I want those to always be synonymous with my incoming call volume.
There are plenty of apps that can lock volumes togheter. Search for sound in market. Dont remember any names

I like Simple Sound because you can place a quick toggle Widget on your home screen...
If you're feeling fancy, you can use Llama and it will do location based toggling

[Q] Different Volume Settings for Notifications

Is it possible to have different volume settings for different notifications? I'm coming from a BlackBerry Bold, and I was able to set specific ring tone AND volume for each app that I used.
I've only found one notification volume setting in Sounds and Notifications, but when I turn this all the way down, I don't hear text messages coming in either.
I do know how to change notification sounds for each app...this I can do, but not separate volume settings.
I'd like to have a different volume setting for incoming Skype messages, a different volume setting for an active Words with Friends game, a different volume setting for text messages, bla, bla, bla! I was able to do this in my BB for each app, and am hoping this is possible in the T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide!
If not, is there an app that does this?
I'd also like to be able to shut off all notifications when I go to bed, but leave the volume a little higher for incoming phone calls and texts (kids, just in case...), but I don't want to hear any of my game notifications going off all night!
I'm absolutely loving my new toy, even coming from a BB!
thanks so much!!!

Inconsistent Notification Sound

Okay, I've tried searching around and I think I might be the only person with this problem.
Basically, my notification sounds (e.g. SMS, e-mail) volume level are not in sync with my ring volume. When adjusting the volume level with the volume rocker, it only changes my ring volume and leaves notification volume at whatever it is set at. That is how it operates most of the time. Sometimes it will adjust with my ring volume too, but I have not figured out how to do it consistently.
My biggest problem with this issue is if I put my phone to silence, it will silence my notification volume too, but there will be no other way to turn it back up without going into the settings and manually doing it.
I have almost the same problem, can't increase the notification volume to a level that is easily heard.

Are you also using a Z3? I see that your signature indicates that you're using a Nexus 6P. It would be very odd if this was a problem with other phones to and not just Sony's line.

Volumes for ringer, Notifications and alarms keep changing, need APP to lock Volumes

My OnePlus One has had the volume changed many times. I was using Volume Locker app but it does not work anymore. Running ASOP Extended does not help with this problem. Anyone know an APP that will lock the volumes to max and keep it there without Notifications. I don't want the volume to change for anything.
Thanks

Volume notification sounds

The volume of ringtone and notification sound can not be adjusted seperatly. At itself not a problem except for the fact that notification volume is way higher then ringtone volume. If I set the volume lower then the ringtone cannot be heard anymore and the notification volume is still to high.
If I set the volume higher then the notification will become a disturbence.
I have tried some 3rd party apps to manage volume of ringtones and notifications seperatly. But those do not seem to be capable off manageing notification volume and ringtone volume seperatly either.
For now I have decided to turn off notification sounds because off the volume.
I have had an OP6 before the OP Nord. There the volume of ringtones and notifications could not be managed seperatly as well but at least the volume of both ringtone and notification was in sync (equal loudness).
Anyone else noticed this? Any ideas on how to get the notification volume in line?
Do you use own file for ringtone? You can edit it, increase volume, e.g. in Audacity on PC, so it will be louder than notification sounds, and then lower ringtone volume.

Yeah, it is not a OP ringtone.
Strange thing is I have been using this ringtone on my OP6 previously where I did not have this "volume" problem.
I will give Audacity a try.
Thx.
Hi try this app, This might work for you.
It will increase ringtone volume to 100% before receiving normal call.
P.S tested on galaxy devices.
