This applies on bug that my d2g had on GB kernel,if wifi is turned on it goes in ON/OFF loop over and over.As for now i have searched and this is the only way to solve issue.
Download http://roms.miui.us/cdma_droid2we/M...20B2_4.0_Eng_Deo_ZipA_Signed_BeansTown106.zip
install it in CWM,after install when everything booted ok go to restart phone and U will get options, select boot manager. Then when it gets in boot manager go to option wifi fix and select it,that"s it.
I use this method because i can't find android boot manager with this fix implemented, there is just ABM without fix on some china page with chinese language, think thonato's blog or such.

Hi everyone,
I come here as an humble foe, having no idea how to sort this out
I tested installing Flashback Rom 5.5
So i install the stock rom using ADB > Download, reboot, wipe data cache and dalvir, reboot, copy update.zip, reboot into recovery and launch the install.
Everything completes perfectly. Upon first boot, i try and setup wifi after my account on the tablet is set, but does not work. Having read on some other threads that is may not work before you reboot i rebooted and retried, still the same issue.
While browsing the wifi menu and clicking on "Wifi" to enable, it says : Error" after some time, and goes back to gray with error below. Every single try results in an "Error" message.
Question : Do you guys know a simple way to port the wifi drivers from the stock Froyo rom to the FB HC rom ?
I have to admit i have close to no knowledge unfortunately in Linux/Android
If so, thanks in advance. Might be a tricky question i presume...
Hello, tried finding a thread with the same issue but was not able to.
I did my first flash to a custom and the ROM flash went without any issues.
(TrickDroid for the S4 ROM)
Installation went fine, phone started up and I started setting up the accounts and WiFi.
Then when those steps were done the "update is available" screen came up.
There I have to choose data connection, WiFi only or any connection with the OK button at the bottom.
Well nothing happens when clicking the OK button and same result choosing either of the two choices.
Update available screen is the first thing I see after each reboot.
Done this update a few times before when phone has been reset due to updates and then it has worked just fine.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
EDIT: I reinstalled Trickdroid and removed my simcard before booting.. That way I got past the system update screen and am now able to use the phone.
Also disabled auto update and hopefully will not get stuck at that screen again.
So I've tried to install Viper rom, When I've finished installed it goes to setup process but suddenly it said Venom tweaker is not responding and I cant connect to the internet. So right now my phone is literally unusable as the I cant acces the setting. There's no way I can go to recovery as I cant change the fast boot option in the setting. I also cant access the internet as there is no way i be able to. My onscreen button gone and my pull up notification is unusable. Please help me I really out of my mind right now :'(
problem solved. Just install quick reboot and choose recovery. Burn some money though to get the internet access :good:
Hello fellow xda-ers,
I have a OnePlus One, but i cannot seem to update the phone.
What is the exact problem?
- there is a system update ready, so i download the update and it asks me to install and then it tries to reboot
- the phone shuts down and doesn't reboot, i have to manually turn the phone off which makes the update sequence stop.
- the phone tells me again theres a update, but it doesnt reboot after it shuts down.
- even just giving the phone the command to reboot, just shuts the phone off and the phone doesn't reboot.
What did i try?
- via oneplus toolkit (mac) i flashed it to stock default, but still the problem persists.
- i flashed a 5.1.1. firmware straight from cyanogen mod, but still the problem persists.
- i flashed a custom recovery (while unchecking the update cm recovery), but the problem still persists.
I don't know what to do... Anybody have advice? It would be much appreciated.
I am pretty aware of what to do and not to do, i have been flashing phones since the iPhone 3gs. But this is just odd.
I was having similar problem. Except mine was booting into the bootloader. From there I tried to manually install the update. It kept failing so I gave up. Then about a week later (today) I let it try to install and it seemed to be working, except when it finally booted back up, it had completely wiped my phone!!! Now I'm midway though reinstalling all my apps and it gives me the "There's an update available for you phone". So apparently it didn't even update in that process.
I've got the exact same problem here.
I have SM-920V , verizon branded galaxy s6 . my problem is , when i turn on phone , it restarts itself...
I've tried everything , reseting/erasing , flashing firmware with odin , flashing and updating firmware with KIES . It still same , restarts before or on activation screen and can't past it .
It's turned on only for minute or less and then restarts , bu when it's in download mode i can flash firmware without any restarts or so... (more then hour)
So any suggestions?
try this, turn off wifi as soon as your phone boots up.
i can't , because settings menu is not acceptable on activation screen
Also it's not connected to my wifi network (i've mac filtered network)
I had similar issue with wifi being the culprit.
As soon as it boots up, wipe down notification tray and disable wifi toggle. See if that works.
If nothing works, take it back where you bought it for replacement.
