Constant Reboot with TurboSIM - Droid 2 Global General

I use the phone with a TurboSIM and experience constant phone reboots every one hour. Is there any solution?
(this one actually: http://www.ebay.com/itm/270686865877?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649)

i got a problem too..but not same as u,gprs crash once a day,and i need to insert the sim in unlocked phones and insert it again on my phone, too boring..

not sure turbosim causes the reboot, but maybe u might want to get the no cut universal(black color) turbosim which works fine.

i'm using the universal i-smartsim and also another problem is,when i change the network type to umts and change it back to gsm, network stops and need to do the above process here too,

Is no-cut turbo sim works fine? I will consider using it if you had good experience of that!

[Unconfirmed] Wifi Fix (without Root)

hey guys, i suffered a lot from disconnects with my wifi when holding the phone in landscape mode
well i tried a app which helped my desire hd a lot, and now .. well i can hold my desire s in landscape without loosing connection
*removed cause its not working*
would be nice if people from u suffering from the same problem can try it and confirm if it is working or not
greetings
Looks good for those without root/S-OFF.... So do you know how does it actually work? Can it change the signal strength threshold somehow?
Tried it. I don't think it does anything to mine. Signal still drops. But not sure if does anything to the threshold.
What does it really do actually?
Doesn't work.
I think it just resets the wifi. ._.
well i don't know what exactly it does, thats why i putted unconfirmed in the thread title, it helped me with my desire s and 2 friends with a desire hd
quote from app description:
This app solves problems in Android OS which cause the Wi-Fi to stop working properly.

that's all i can say what the app is doing
simply thought maybe its helping some others here too
seems to work on my desire s =) but can't test it 100% now beacuse i can't play any online games, im in school and they have blocked all port
also kaspersky say that my phone was block. liked i changed to a new sim card. don't know why. made the program change something on my simcard? hmm
like i said i don't know what exactly the phone is doing, it's talking something about reseting wlan and deleting all data and such
i only wrote her that it worked for me
maybe someone don't have such a extreme death spot and got a faulty wireless duo bad flash so this is helping only for some

try covering the entire top plastic part (the part with the camera with your hand & see if the wifi drops using some app like wifi analyzer)
Well like a fool as my Wifi wasn't that bad.
The result being that I now have no Wifi connection at all.

u must add your wifi + passwords again after using this app, it's mentioned in the app so read first
yes it asked me to configure my wifi again & i did it
but the signal still dropped like before
dont see the bars they are quite misleading ( i am usually able to browse with no bars)
use some app like wifi analyzer
well for wifi analyzer it's already too late cause i can't make a before/after compare now
I tested it with WiFi analyzer before and after, there was still the -20db drop and nothing changed
well then maybe i had some software bugged wlan too and the programm was able to, so it will stay a myth that it's a help for the desire s signal dropping
well thank you guys for confirming it

That is what I did and it made no difference, I had to do a factory reset to get Wifi back. Perhaps I was just unlucky.

Is there also a adapter where both sim cards work at the same time?
Yea I can also vouch for www.magic-sim.com

One of the FAQs:
12. Can both SIM cards receive calls at the same time?
As mobile phones are currently only built with one transmitter and receiver, it isn’t possible to have both SIMs active at the same time. However, our ‘autoswitch’ function enables you to switch between your two SIMs at a timed interval, to notify you if you’ve missed a call, received a message, etc.
So the answer is no
The only samsung phone i know that can do this is [email protected] 222

The website says it fits but I don't trust them. I can't see how it would physically fit in a Galaxy S as the sim card slot facing the wrong way, in which it would mean the adapter orientated on the long side across and this is wider than the phones width.
Unless anyone can send a picture of their galaxy s (not II) with the magic sim fitted successfully and working I don't want to chance it. I even tried looking at market stalls that used to sell twin sim adapters in the hope I could see if one physically fitted, but they say they don't sell them anymore. Either they don't work on 3G or they have no market for them now is what they said.
£18 is a lot of money to throw if it doesn't fit/work.
Well my girlfriend has a standard galaxy S so I can check it on there for you if I get chance. Not sure I can be bothered to take pictures etc but I'm happy to confirm weather it fits and works or not.

Is it possible to autoupdate SMSC
Hi!
I have the magic sim adaptor and it works very good but I have one issue:
When I change the SIM the SMSC (message center phone number) isn't changed.
Does anybody know how to solve this?
The APN settings change automatically so I don't understand why the SMSC couldn't do the same.
maybe we have to wait... The Beginning is just been made....
idk y people buy such a bull****...where is the problem to have 2 phones with you (maybe one smartphone to surf & one just for call/sms)? best solution ever

[Q] My docomo Fujitsu Arrow X F-02E KEEP RESTARTING!!!!HELP!!!!

HI MY NAME IS TAN, I'm new here and a noob with phone but i have a problem which my docomo Fujitsu Arrow X F-02E.
it keep restarting if i use gps map, and it restart when my facebook try to locate my position, and it restart when i use the locator map ! can anyone help me how to fix this problem.
Looks like it might be something related to your gps. Did you do any software mods to your phone like custom rom/kernel or running scripts..? Also try clearing cache it might help. Use something like 'app cache cleaner'.
Hi,
Can you please review this phone? I am serously thinking of buying it.
How is the camera?
Does the battery last long?
Does the phone get hot?
Does it work smoothly?
Is thr processor coping well with the Full HD screen?

think about it, why the price has drop very fast?
take risk by yourself.
I solved the gps
the gps works as long as the cellular network disabled.
I could put in airplane mode and turn wifi and gps.
I had the same problem.
should be for safety that the GPS does not work while the cellular network.
Thank you very much, the airplane mode + GPS trick is very helpful.
Besides the GPS (safety?) issue I think the F-02E is excellent for the price. A waterproof 5" 1080p with quad core cortex A9 for $300 is a good deal. I have not noticed Google Maps being inaccurate and also I have had no restarting issues when the network signal is low.
Small sensor camera with 16MP and it is not going to be pretty. Isn't that what DSLRs are for? Also love that I can hop into a pool with the F-02E no worries. :good:

I really agree that Arrows X F-02E is a perfect phone but you need to understand and find the best solution to improve.
I just rooted my phone and remove all removable DOCOMO applications, then install Startup manager to disable not necessaries applications to start with system.
Lastly, I use 3G manager to control my data network that inactive while phone in idle state with NX! eco feature.
Now I can improve my phone battery without restarting!!! ^^

As I told before, I think most of DOCOMO service is the cause of this problem.
Just root and use start-up manager to remove all suspected app from DOCOMO first. Then use 3G manager to disable data network after phone idle. Lastly, use NX! eco to adjust power consumable.

You can use any root installer. As for me ES explorer with ES tyask manager the best. Start up manager you can also find in ES task manager.

I think I have found the solution to this problem. You have to get a 128k sim card and it wont restart anymore. I got one yesterday and it hasn't restarted at all. Every company should have 64k, 128k, or higher sim cards, just ask for one that is 128k.
Hopefully that helps!!

"disco" as network carrier

Hello!
I just got my new Moto G which will replace my LG Optimus 2x (;___;7).
Everything works fine. No issues at all, Amazon even included a charging adapter, except for one little thing: It constantly says "disco" in the notofications bar and when I pull it down it also says "disco" where it usually displays the name of your carrier or mobile network.
Google was of no real help. I did find people reporting problems with flashed phones and there it also said "disco", but they couldn't make any calls.
I can make calls, send texts, 3G works. As I said, everything is fine except for that one little thing.
Any ideas what might cause this?
I didn't change anything by the way. I took it out of the box, put in my card and when I entered my PIN for the first time it said "disco" right away.
Maybe the phone just likes to party? I have no clue^^
Anyway, thanks in advance for replies and suggestions!

I am using winSIM as well! Good to know that everything seems to be fine then.
It's weird though, on my LG 2X it did say O2-DE for the network.
Oh well. Looks like disco lives on with the Moto G!
I was wondering about that, too. Seems to implemented differently.

I just had this 100% exact issue couple of days ago. I was already convinced it was a hardware issue but then decided to try switch from skywalker kernel to kirisakura and then back to skywalker and it started working just fine again.
I dont know what was going on with my rog 5 but im glad I didnt have to send it for repair. I hope this issue doesn't comeback
