Thank you Sir!
But actualy, the device is display this message:
Bootloader
D0.01
Err:A5:70:70:00:00
Low Battery
No pragramming
And shut down. I havent got any idea, how to charge the battery, because, there is no more Motorola Droid 2 or Droid (the battery is same).
When i plug the usb to the phone, the Bootloader start automaticly, but the message is same, the bettery is low and the cable can't charge the phone. I think, my Moto D2G goes to a beautifull brick.
My next oponion, i will buy from ebay an external charger. (Unfortunatley, the charger will traveling around the world to the next 3 weeks, cuz i live in Hungary.
Thanks, for your answer, i try it, than i will get my charger...!
Tom
These phones cannot be charged while in bootloader.
You have to charge it first. Also as you're in Europe you could check amazon.de or amazon.co.uk for external chargers for Milestone and Milestone 2.

i am still looking an externel charger, and i try to gone the local mobile shop, thre is a guy who have got an special tool for this situation.
I will post (hope, i will tke it from D2G with XDA app!), if the problem has ended.
At this time, i try to charging the battery with my home made system (pics are atached).
I am a car modeller, and ther are we use a professional multi charger with a lot of charging type. This charger can work in LiPo mode.
The setup is simple, and easy to use for everybody:
- 1 pc Titan B6 multi-functional charger
- 1 pc 12V AC adaptor
- 2 pc papec clips (CU type)
- some cabel with crocodile end.
- fast clamps
The charger is set up 1s LiPo accu, load with 0,3 A and disable charging time limit.
Now, on the display, i read 837 mA (in the accu )
(And i am sorry for my terrible english!!)
Hi guys!
i sending this message with my Moto. Many thanks for you! The droid is still live after the unbricking (on. 608) i have a problem with wifi connect, but after the. 628 update.zip the problem is ended.
Thank you so much for everyone!

So, then i flash the. 628 repacked rom, after i went to recovery, wipe and reboot. My phone has not got wifi connection. I rooted with superoneclick. After it, i didn't download the otarootkeeper from the market because i haven't got wifi or net (i live in Hungary and i have a sim locked D2G with turbo sim, there is no apn net on the phone.) After the rooting, i flashed with the update.zip the (.628) with basic recovery.
My question it is:
Where i can find or where i can know, my phone is rooted or not?
I want to flash a miui or cm9 and need a custom recovery to this action. The bootstrap is installed, but i have a big fear to load it because if the phone was lost the root, i will brick again this awesome droid
Ya, the phone's bluetooth is not working after i flashed with the update.zip (but the wifi is OK )
I hope, the bluetooth will repair with the new rom.
Many thanks for your help!
Cheers, Tom

you need rootkeeper to restore root, you can check root, with root basic
bootstrap just won't work without root, shouldn't brick trying to use without root
download rootkeeper, and reflash repacked SBF...

If you continue having trouble with wifi and/or Bluetooth, try a data wipe/factory reset (after re-installing the .629 update). I believe this has fixed those problems for some people.

No. this won't work. These are .sbf files so they have to be flashed via rsdlite. They CANNOT be flashed with clockwork and will probably screw up your phone more if you do. Boot your phone into bootloader, connect to your pc, and use rsdlite to use these files.
Before you do that, though, try a battery pull. Do that a few times and it might get you into clockwork.

Sorry dude but you'll lose your Metro flash. It will have to be reflashed. If you don't want to pay to have it flashed, I would start reading some online flashing manuals.
On the other hand, does anyone know where I can get the 2.2.1 files?

okay. so i flashed my droid with the 2.01, not knowing which version it was on before it got bricked.
the backlight turns on, but NOTHING ELSE shows up.
when i flashed the SBF to the droid with RSDLITE, the bootloader shows the SW UPDATE in progress, but it still boots to NOTHING...and when i try to go to the bootloader, all that is shown is the blank backlit screen..same when starting the droid.
i'm confused as to what exactly is missing here...the stock SBF is flashed, yet it still won't boot??
edit: tried 2.1, same problem!! currently trying 2.2...i'll update when it's done.
2.2 same problem.

As long as you can get into the bootloader, yes.
I downloaded each one of these and tried to do this with RSD Lite but it keeps telling me it fails.
I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Would someone be able to assist me?
No data
Ok, my droid lost data connection ( no 3g or 1x icon) it has just the phone´s signal strength bars, wifi works fine, and the icon only appears momentarly when I turn of data connection in wireless settings or turn on airplane mode. So I read some place that I had to run sbf files to reset radio or change radio, actually my phone has Steel Droid v.10.2 (gingerbread 2.3.7) on it.
So my question is if it´s ok to run any of these sbf files on my droid, and will it get stock radio?

My phone is stuck at the droid 2 bloot splash. Does anyone know how to fix? I'm freaking out here D:
Try to bootstrap it into open recovery and restore the backup you've made (did you?)
If no backup - use the SBF and flash it to original. Make sure battery is full and you use the latest RSDlite an drivers supplied with the SBF.
Edit: I assume you've made changes in /system or flashed custom ROM. If you have not touched anything, try a battery pull (for at least 5 seconds). If you have installed bootstrap recovery - try to delete caches and eventually factory reset. If nothing of above works - do the SBF flashing (last resort).
Another edit: I don't think you chose the right thread to post your problem. Check General section - you will find many threads similar to yours. OP, sorry for the hijack!
Sorry! I was able to fix it, thank you for your quick reply. I'm going to delete my post to clean up the thread. Sorry again : )

I am not new to android but definately new to the Motorolla´s android phones.
Why are people excited about the release of the SBF? What is is useful for?
I am guessing it is needed for rooting? or is it actually so one can cook custom roms?
The SBF is essentially the file that Motorola clones onto every phone when it leaves the factory. With this file and RSDLite 4.9, you can save your phone from just about any software woe you can think of, in under 15 minutes. I've done it 8 or 9 times with no problems.
No Power
I just finished flashing D2G SBF, and I have no power, I have done a battery pull, and no luck. when I plug the charger or usb in the white light turns on. Hopefully someone can enlighten me on this issue.
when you flashed .sbf what percent was your battery at? If your battery dies before the .sbf is fully flashed....not good. if firmware didn't fully load your phone will not charge. Always make sure battery is above 80 before going forward. If it was just a bad flash and your battery has power try getting into bootloader (both volume keys and power buttons simultaneously) again and re flash sbf. If no power find a friend and charge your battery in their phone and try again.
ok , so i rooted my Atrix 4g running 2.3.4 . i didnt think i was going to get ICS so i was like ok ...and did it.
however now that i hear that it might come out on the atrix and that because moto was bought by google the chances are higher i was wondering if the root will stop the OTA update and if so is there a way to fix this?????
Thanks for the help i do appreciate it.
If you go back to the stock rom, it will not stop the update.
If you accept the update, you will lose root. If you want to root again, you will have to wait until a root solution is figured out again. And the fact that the atrix is an older phone and the dev community is shrinking, you may not get root again at all.
however accepting the update wont brick my phone? And yes I know its an older phone but im going to wait till quad core phones come out because my phone still can hold up to most duel core devices . and it has the finger sensor. Also I should mention I am still running regular 2.3.4 with moto blur because im one of those odd balls who like it .

It is different for every phone. Most phones won't even receive the OTA notification if rooted.
ugh <.< well if it does actually happen ill figure out exactly how to UN root it and then get ICS and wait till someone discovers a root for that. im sure someone will.
I wouldn't hold my breath for ICS even if Google and Motorola finalize everything by June.
The phone is going on a year old and the ATRIX 2 is probably not going to get the update to ICS in my mind.
I would keep your root and if it does come out then throw a custom rom on and you will be happy because you have ICS and root

Taken from : http://www.atrixforums.com/forum/orange-uk/3120-how-revert-atrix-back-stock-rom.html
How to revert Atrix back to Stock ROM Hi Guys and girls, I have put together this guide to help anyone who decides to install a custom ROM (Like i did), but dislikes it or finds issues and wants to revert the phone back to stock again.
I recently installed 'Gingerblur' and had issues with: GPS dropping signal frequently Security functions not working at all Dialpad not responding when used during a call Refused to set date to UK format (DD/MM/YY) Work and play dock not displaying screens as it should Tricked phone into thinking it was a AT&T handset (My handset is on Orange UK) And a few other niggles.
Please note, I am not saying that everyone will experience all or any of these faults, but I had them and it ruined the enjoyment of the phone.
Ok, so here is a list of what you will need:
Up to date drivers USB and PC Charging Drivers - Motorola Mobility, Inc. USA RSDlite 5.3.1 RSDLite5.3.1.msi 7-zip 7-Zip Correct Orange SBF file (Select correct ROM for your network) Atrix Firmwares Superthread (Official Firmware Team of M3) - xda-developers
And you will need the USB lead that came with your handset to guarantee compatability.
Once you have installed the programs above, download your SBF file to a location you can find it on your hard drive.
Once the SBF file is downloaded, open 7-zip and locate the SBF file (name will read something like OLYEM_xxxxxxxxxx.sbf) and extract it to your desktop.
Open RSDlite and select the extracted file, and the 'file properties' box on the right will display all the details about the file.
Turn off your handset (or pull the battery) and press the UP volume button and POWER button together, and hold them both until the phone displays 'Starting RSD protocol support'
Connect the handset to your computer using the USB lead, and the RSDlite should display your handset details. It will either read 'NS olympus' or 'SE olympus'. This is fine, and is evidence that the phone is recognised.
On the RSDlite program, click 'Start' and find something to do for 15 mins.
The SBF flash will go through a number of sequences, and your handset will go on and off as the files are written. You may also hear the PC making the connected/disconnected noises for the USB, but ignore them. Don't mistakenly disconnect the handset or you could brick it.
At the end of the process, you will notice that the phone is turned OFF, and RSDlite is instructing you to manually turn the handset on. Turn it on and it should look the same as it did when you turned it on for the first time.
Please remember.... you are fully responsible for any changes you make to your phone's firmware, and I am only offering a guide to help, not a guarantee that it will help. This is a condensed version of the help I received from das8nt, and it worked for me.
If this has helped you in any way, then please feel free to click on the 'like' button.

Tried to post this confirmation over on the developer "How to Root" thread, but evidently I haven't posted enough yet
I used the instructions here and they worked great. It was fast and easy, and most importantly for me, did not require the unlock from Motorola. With a brand new phone, I just wasn't up for voiding my warranty just to be able to use Titanium Backup and Wifi Tether!
yep, Motofail2Go! drjbliss is a master exploit writer!
Damn, I did the motorola unlock code which voids the warranty.
First time with a motorola phone and wasn't aware of existing methods
Is there any way to install CWM or another recovery using this method, without unlocking the bootloader?
Nope, Safestrap would be the way to go, but from what I know it is not compatible with the Photon Q....never tried it tough. The Droid 4 works great with Safestrap.
Hey guys, I used this thread to root without bootloader. Worked great after installing the ADB files to my PC and working in debug mode.
Question: I rooted in order to install an ap called reverse tether (PC internet connection powers phone internet). Now the app won't work cuz my phone is shutting down my tethering option everytime because I guess its not on my current Sprint plan. Any pointers or is there something I am missing? Total noob here. TIA
EDIT: Fixed Charge Only mode error... apparently there is some convoluted BS regarding debug mode that will disable the mass storage aspect during debug mode and then keep that setting even after a restart and leaving debug mode. I had to go back in debug mode, 1. Toggle USB Debugging to On (Settings > Developer Options [Under System]) 2. Power the phone off. 3. Power the phone on. 4. Toggle USB Debugging to Off..... still dont know about the VSNCP thing but looks like I can get a handle on it soon as well.
ORIGINAL: Hey guys after my post last night now I am running into some issues... First of all, when I plugged in my phone at work this morning, it refuses to connect as Mass Storage or Media Device MTP or Camera PTP. It lets me select it, but it doesnt save the setting. It automatically reverts back to charging mode whenever I leave the screen. It refuses to save the selection like the options are disabled. Note line 1 of the notifications "charge only"
Secondly, when I decided to restart the phone to fix this connection problem, I got this notification in line 2 of the screen shot, note: "VSNCP Registration Response Error VSNCP Error 8:Admin Prohibited" This message pops up each time the phone boots up. You can't click on it and it doesnt do anything. You can only dismiss it. Any idea what this is?
One thing I noticed this morning is that the Motorola drivers I installed yesterday came with a little PC ap that monitors the phone for updates or whatever, a little Moto logo in the task tray in the corner... now today its gone? I was thinking maybe there is some sort of scheme by Moto to sync the phones to a certain PC with that program so unless that program is running the phone only charges on PCs and doesnt recognize the storage device... but today that program is nowhere to be found on my PC.
Does the root of these problems come from working in debug mode and switching some settings maybe?
Can anyone help me out? I am a total noob that came from a CM 10.1 Epic which is looking pretty nice right about now.
Keep in mind I am a total noob. I did this root method, now I don't know how to unlock the bootloader. I am surprised that the information and how-tos are so hard to find for this phone after being out for 5 months!
TIA
For your VSNCP Error Check this thread over at Sprint
Here is the link I used to unlock mine. As far as I know the only way is to do it through the official motorola website.

FWIW I have bricked my device twice with this method and of course had no custom recovery to flash and magically fix everything. Quite a hassle but that is the price you pay for being CARELESS. Use at our own risk. One benefit is that I kept warranty. It is great for aps like tether, reverse tether, backup, etc. that require root. Dont know if I will do it again because trying to hack the phone back to operation is not fun. At least my back up phone is an Epic with CM 10.1 and wimax is all over my area unlike LTE.

If you want root without bootloader unlock on the latest build (ASA-15) you must use this root method BEFORE updating to asa-15. Then install something like OTA root keeper and backup root and temp unroot before installing the update. Otherwise as Vivicus notes, it will not work.

I'm on ASA-14 and I can't get rooted. Every time I run this, it says exploit failed. I did a cache/data wipe from the stock recovery and even before entering my google account info and going through the startup of the phone, I still ended up with the exploit failed. Any ideas on getting the root wihtout unlocking the bootloader in ASA-14?
Currently no way to do it without unlock. Unless you were already rooted before the update your unfortunately out of luck until someone comes up with a new exploit.

As the subject states I have a Roger's Razr HD (XT925) that was GSM unlocked for use here in the US. It was rooted and bootloader unlocked and used for a while without problem. I recently decided to upgrade to a new phone and did a factory reset of the HD in preparation to sell it. It got stuck in boot loop but I was able to boot fine in recovery and everything worked fine. I forgot power it off and the battery drained. When plugged into AC it will not charge. Plug it into a PC and USB connection sounds like it's loading drivers. Device manager shows QHSUSB_DLOAD. Any attempt to boot into recovery mode when plugged in yields a couple green flashes from the LED and that's it. When unplugged, absolutely nothing. I did make a Motorola data adapter and connected the phone to the PC. The green light comes on for a few seconds and then goes out.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I really need to revive this phone.
QHSUSB_DLOAD is a perma-brick, unfortunately. I haven't seen anyone on here recover from it.

Thanks. I'll check it out.
So I had chance to check out the link and I think the solution to the problem is simpler than that. I know the phone was booting into fastboot when it had a charge. It's possible my DIY factory cable isn't a good one. The RAZR/MAXX/AtrixHD have a simple two pin battery that can charged by opening the case. The battery for the HD has 4 pins however I cannot find the pinout for it. Can any tell me which are the positive and negative? I can cut and hook up an USB cable to them to charge the battery directly and then I should be able to boot the phone and repair the ROM.
Edit: I was able to get my hands on a multimeter and found that the there's 1 positive pin and 3 negative ones?!?!
did you try to leave your xt 925 plugged to pc for little while, then attempt to get it into fastboot?

Yes. I left it overnight.
Well then you cant do jack , i noticed battery stays ok in xt925 while on fastboot but I guess if batty is completely out, it is a different story. You will revive it man, gotta get hold of factory cable or a spare battery
