Yup, but it has the same version no. as in the OP. paul.robo probably made an error, since 401 is the European region code. The Indian code is 720. Which RUU do you want?

Htc sensation camera crash

Hi,
I am new to this forum, and i am a newbie as far as kernels and s-on etc is concerned, although i have flashed my earlier
phones through RUU couple of times. I am using an unlocked tmobile htc sensation 4g with everything stock.
It worked flawlessly for several months, i also updated to stock ics from htc update in software update menu.
The camera i think worked for few times after that. but now the camera app crashes and camera just wont work at all.
I have tried hard reset, but to no avail. I have tried several other camera apps including MIUI camera etc,
but it gives error"can't open camera or can't connect to camera". I wonder if it is a hardware issue or a software one.
Software information in the phone shows:

Welcome to the forum,
As far as I'm aware of if it's saying anything about "could not connect to the camera" I believe its an kernel issue so maybe try hunt down an alternative because its the kernel that controls the hardware camera but on the random closes and crashes on the camera before, I get the same issue on the odd occasion, so I cannot help to much there. Hope that helps a little bit

Your's would be the same issue I believe as kernel controls pretty much all hardware. So root and s-off if you haven't already and try out different kernels and that should fix your problem.

[HBOOT] Hex Edited Stock 1.44.000 hboot (1.29.651.10) NO RED TEXT!

Being that there were no simple intelligent guides and no one to put this together for M7
In case you have to return your phone and if you are unsure how to get back to stock easily (since its a pain in the ass if you have no RUU files) then you can easily put throw this on and ur chances of getting ur phone exchanged go up exponentially.
Please see below!
AssassinsLament said:
Here is a hex edited version of the stock 1.44.000 hboot (1.29.651.10).
It is basically for people who want their hboot to appear stock.
What was edited:
1) "TAMPERED" was removed.
2) "UNLOCKED" is masked as "LOCKED"
3) "S-OFF" is masked as "S-ON"
4) Red development text (on boot up) was removed.
Flash it in bootloader (fastboot)! Flash at own risk! (you need S-OFF obviously)
How to flash:
Code:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip hboot_hexed.zip
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Enjoy!
Click to collapse
Attached is the Hexed file just for the HTC One from Rogers, should you need any other ones I can create them for you all you need to do is run
"fastboot getvar all"
Then post this in your reply and I'll have a new attached hboot zip for you to flash
*AssassinsLament* - All credit to him for a simple and awesome mod.

This is not about credits or mentions. I don't give much about it. I have nothing in my thread that is originally my work. Nothing i could take credit for except that my thread is very comprehensive and has all necessary warnings and tries to educate people on what they do there.
My thread was created early and for the sole intent of trying to avoid threads like these with half informed stuff which lures people into thinking hboot and firmware flashing was as easy as a ROM flash.
There is one single reason HTC has locked everything but system, recovery and kernel away from us: its plain dangerous and can lead to a non-functional phone (from HTC's perspective a costly warranty nightmare). Fixing is very hard on the M7 as the disassembly is work only pro's can accomplish without damage to the phone. Yet, disassembly is required for jtag repair. It is of utmost importance to educate people on what exactly they do there, how to do it and what to do if things seemingly go wrong.
I also don't mind multiple threads of the same matter, thinking it through. Really not. There is always more and new info available that way.
I just object threads that throw edited hboots at people and say "here flash that and enjoy!" because for the aforementioned reasons, that is just irresponsible and, to play back the ball of the OP, not very intelligent.
I will now drop a report to moderation and ask them to judge whether or not to close this thread down. I am not the judge, i am one of many. I just have my opinion. Maybe i am wrong. I will leave it to those dudes moderating this forum. If they decide to leave it as it is, i will not show up anymore and leave the OP alone.
[EDIT]
Actually, i'd appreciate the original poster to work with me to have synergy effects. Every bit of info is helping to make firmware works more secure. HTC does not provide any documentation and the true reverse engineering people like team revolutionary also do not share their findings generously, so if there is another member here with an affinity to look into hboot and firmware stuff, it couldn't be more beneficial if we shared our findings.
I agree that it is easy to brick being uninformed on the matter of hboots and installing the wrong one or even installing it wrong! I will say this in regards to information on hboots....OP you should refer users of this thread to another more informed thread for installation purposes but your thread is helpful for supplying individual carrier edited hboots so thanks for that but sneaky is correct. Some guys don't research enough and stick their necks out without respecting the consequences enough.

No need for another of those threads. All is discussed here extensively: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2316726.

All OTAs require stock recovery to install. It keeps going to recovery, because that is what its supposed to do (in order to install the update). But when it doesn't find the proper recovery, it fails.

Rule #1 is do not flash stuff to phones you have modified. Official updates are NOT intended for modified phones.
Rule #2 listen to the advice of senior members in your correct forum

US-Unlocked 1.57.617.10 with German and other Languages (TWRP-Backup)

Here is a Link to US 1.57.617.10 . I have included German and other Languages Languages . e.g. French. I do not know what the others Languages are. Look at the Screenshot. If you see your CID your Language is included. S-off is needed to change CID and MID and to install this TWRP Backup.
US Unlocked 1.57.617.10 with German and other Languages (TWRP-Backup)
TWRP-Backup --> Do not forget to unzip the zip.file. It is not a Rom. It is a TWRP Backup
Edit: More Screenshot from Settings-->Languages. Now you can better see if your Language is included.
Do we need to change mid and cid for a twrp backup?

Are us unlocked still one update ahead of us eu users?

No, restore or installation from within TWRP do not need changes of CID or mid
But be sure that you have the base current ROM already installed - it might otherwise firmware files are missing and caused problems.
@AntikerTa: my A9 is a UHL and i have problems with this ROM - data-connection after each boot fails and i have to open API and after going back (toast: "APN saved") data-connection works well again until the next start - please check this for me and tell me if yours is also a UHL or UL

So True!
@JochenP I have this Problem not with 1.57.617.10. But i had this Problem with the previous Version for a short time. Maybe it is a Provider Problem? Your Provider is o2 Germany?
I have a UHL Device.
Running smoothly here.. Is there a firmware update also with this update??

Thanks for posting. I'm curious if all the European phones are HTC_034.
HTC__621 TWM-TW. does anyone know the software differences between my CID and the HTC_034 UK CID. i would love to use the UK software on my device, but i know that is not possible without S-Off. also, do HTC devices have a config file that allows one to enable/disable features similar to Samsung's cscfeature.xml files? Thanks.
