[Q] MIUI v4 ICS - 2.4.13 Call Quality - HTC Desire S

Just upgraded to the latest version of this rom after realising that the previous version appears to have a call quality distortion issue. From what I remember this does not apply 2.3.26, curious to see if any others are having the same issue?
Thanks in advance

MIUI Users: Back to 1.12.30

I know many of us MIUI users have been having trouble with some of the bugs in the most recent MIUI release (2.1.20). I know the devs are busy working on ICS for MIUI, so a few bugs for these gingerbread releases is understandable.
If you're having problems also, then go ahead and flash back to 1.12.30. Since going back, all of my problems have been fixed!
I'm planning on sticking with this version until a more stable MIUI or MIUI ICS is released.
Hi Rod,
I have MIUI 2.1.20 and don't have so much problems with this yet.
Which big bugs/troubles you mean exactly.
yes.. even i am not having much issues with 2.1.20
oh no wonder I experience weirdness in my rom MIUI,
on the home screen can not portrait mode,
if so I'm flashing back just
Sorry for the delay guys. I think this is only an issue with the HTC Sensation as far as I can tell, but the Mod moved this thread to the general forum.
The problem was more or less a newbie mistake. I had flashed the leaked updated firmware 3.24 for my HTC Sensation, so I could flash a few different ICS roms. I found that the only MIUI rom that worked for me without any FC's or random reboots was the MIUI rom from 12-30.
I finally decided to flash the old official 1.17 firmware for the HTC Sensation. I found that after I did this the 2-1-20 MIUI rom worked flawlessly!
Again, just a basic newbie mistake.

Android Revolution and terrible incall sound

Hello
I have just upgrade to 6.5.2 ICS 4.0.3.
But whenever i have call, the incall sound is just terrible in my end. There are no problems in the others end.
I have first upgrade the firmware 3.30.401.1 & 3.30.401.101 RUU
Then installed the new rom with super wipe script first.
I have upgrade to radio: Radio_11.69.3504.00U_11.22.3504.07_M.rar
Have anyone else this kind of problems?
And do anyone have a solution for this?
Regards Kenneth Dalbjerg
Please anybody?
Do I have a brick device or could it be the firmware/radio?
Sent from my HTC Sensation using XDA
Best way to see is to flash back your orgional RUU and then test and see if you are still having issues. If you are it is likely hardware.
I found a solution for downgrade the phone to orginal firmware from HTC.
And the incall sound is still terrible.
I will return it in. Thanks for helping.

[Q] cm10 galaxy note - ringtones not working !

Hi everyone
I've recently installed cm10 nightly 20121017 on my galaxy note ( using CM kernel, hydracore was causing black screen on boot .. )
Here's my main issue : ringtones are absolutely not working ! system tones & music are working like a charm, except I can't get a proper ringer to hear my incoming calls ..
Already missed a dozen call this far within two days ..
How to solve this problem please ? Do I have to backup everything if I wanna upgrade my version to a new one ?
Thanks
Having same problem with my Galaxy S GT-I9000. The latest CM10 nightlies have all the same problem.
Someone has a clue of how to fix this?
My solution was to install AOKP ROM Milestone n°1
solution ?
Make permission for your custom ringtone/alarm same as for systems.
See in system/media/... make R/W
See picture for sample
Wow, I have the same exact problem, and I have no idea how long it has been going on, and now it's starting to bug me. Anyone have a solution? And will this need to be submitted as a bug to the CM team?

[Q] ICS ROM - Frequent call disconnects

Team,
I am facing a peculiar problem on my Galaxy R.. Ever since I had upgraded from GB to ICS, I have been facing this issue.
During middle of the phone conversation, call goes blank for 15 seconds and disconnects.. This happens after 5-10 minutes into conversation and this is not a regular issue. Signal strength is good but can't single out the issue.
I had upgraded from GB to ICS - XWLP2 during December 2012 - problem observed - changed to Indian ICS - DDLP3 during February 13 - same issue observed - recently moved to CARBON ROM after following the procedure - baseband is still DDLP3..
Still facing the same issue..
Has anyone faced this issue before ? Any suggestions would be very helpful
PS : Have searched the entire forum - but no luck to find similar issue..
Folks.. I guess you haven't faced such issue before.. no replies but many views..
Any way, I had tried bit of troubleshooting today.. Since this was the problem ever since I upgraded from GB, I had downloaded the stock GB ROM (super stable - ZSLE6) and followed the specific procedure as mentioned in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2106424 to extract "modem.bin" from the tar file and flashed using ODIN..
So far looks good.. able to flash properly and test with couple of calls. Keeping my fingers crossed..Will observe for few more days and post here..
So now my current config is
CARBON ROM
ARDADAT Kernel
GB Baseband - ZSLE6..
I am on XXLQ3 baseband on cm10.1 and have not been having any issues at all.. maybe its a baseband issue... do check and revert..

Is there a custom ROM without the sound distortion bug?

I want to run a custom ROM, but I keep running into bugs that are a no go for me. One in particular being the sound distortion bug that seems to be in every ROM I've tried. Anyone know if there are any without such problems?
I have the Verizon HTC One M8 currently running stock rooted with an unlocked bootloader.
Seems the sound distortion bug only effects cm based Roms. Try the stock Roms on here.
From what I understand nothing but a sense ROM will not have the bug based on HTC not releasing something and the CM teams having to reverse engineer. In thinking it's the kernel, but don't quote me on that.
