I'm running FP1 stock so I can't make one for you, but if you give me your framwork-res.apk and SystemUi.apk I can make one for you. It's not safe to take someone else files and use them for your phone.
If you're comfortable grabbing some files from your /system partition, you can use the kitchen at http://uot.dakra.lt/ to make your own. I've used it a few times before and it works fine, you just have to supply the framework-res.apk, twframework-res.apk, and systemUI.apk for it to modify.

Kernel swapping to do that would be an obvious no-go. The file is from 2.1.
But I have been trying to do this myself as well, following the original thread. Keep getting stuck in soft boot loop though.

here is stock froyo rom with circle battery. all I did is pull framework-res.apk from Cog 2.2 rom and replace existing apk with it via root explorer. then I used Minimalistic Batt-Circle metamorph and replaced battery images.
Uploaded with ImageShack.us
The % battery meter is easy:
Grab the Cognition 2.2 rom, strip out framework-res.apk and copy it over top of the framework-res.apk in the stock Froyo. Works great (I'm running it.)
I'm not aware of a way to do the stock lock screen yet unfortunately.

Well,
Icons are from HD2 forum called Dinnik. They come with "no icon" templates.
I grabbed high rez Eclair icons from say CM Nexus ROM and used photoshop to make necessary icons.
Wallpaper is from I900 Galaxy forum wallpaper thread by Hokey. It is a Desire wallpaper reworked by him.
Dock bar is from LauncherPro forum. I just darkened it a bit for our AMOLED.
Font is Monotype Helvetica available in Market, if you use OCLF then you have to apply it via Ryan's OCLF application.
Notification bar:
Pull framework-res.apk from Cognition ROM 2.2.
Use ADB or Root Explorer and replace current apk in /system/framework. Reboot.
You gonna have the stock battery with percentage.
Get Minimalistic Batt-Circle metamorph and extract it in your metamorph folder in your phone internal sdcard. Do not apply it if you just want battery percentage look.
Download from this forum Fightspit OP file that you like A,B,C,D,E whatever.
Extract from it's framework-res.apk folder drawable-hdpi. Which has circle battery images.
Than, go to your phone sdcard/metamorph folder where you extracted Minim Metamorph files. Open framework-res/res folder.
If you like what Minimalistic Metamorph does to your other phone images then just replace only battery stat images. If you just want the battery change then remove all image files from that res folder and copy all new batt_stat images to it.
Once you are ready to apply Min Metamorph choose existing project, choose it xml file and only apply framework option. Do not use any other options such as Email or TWframework. Follow instructions.
Hope this helps. Replacing framework-res.apk via Root Explorer worked for me, phone was vibrating and acting weird till I reboot it. Once it rebooted to Cognition stock battery with percentage I knew I am hald way there because I used to do this to my Cognition 2.1 Rom with Minimalistic Metamorph.
Remember to replace batt_stat images one to one. Min Metamorph has already circle images only B/W which I didn't like. I also didn't like what it did to other graphics on the phone.
Here is a deodexed version of Gene Poole's Liberated Aria 2.2.2 ROM. It has a2sd enabled but you will need to flash dark tremor apps2sd. Boot time will be SLOW because it is deodexed. It should install with just a cache and dalvik wipe if you are already on the 2.2.2 rom. Trackpad Wake works!! I used this kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=995755

Updated OP. ROM now supports dark tremor a2sd.
Removing the at&t in the status bar is next. I just need to know how to recompress an apk after modding it.... That's if, I have indeed, found the culprit.
Edit: I believe the culprit is HTC_transient_notification.xml in stk.apk if someone wants to take a crack at it. Or at least tell me how you edit .xml's in ubuntu...
You can open them with any text editor. It's just text.

They use some sort of binary encoding when packed into an apk. You need to use the apktool to un-compress the apk properly, but then you lose the signature and depending on what the file's role is in the overall scheme of things, it may not work properly with just any signature.
Thanks, jdwhite87, for tracking it down to that apk. I'll take a look at it.
This rom is great!
Just need to figure out how to enable the Trackpad Wake

Hey guys, I've managed to achieve 1% battery steps on Froyo!
It has been tested in quite some Froyo roms by now, and it seems to work great! No battery drains or anything like that.
In order to obtain one percent battery steps, your rom/theme must give support to it. I've modified EphuNord (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1046027) Gingerbread theme to add support to it.
So, the only thing you need to do is to apply the battery_step.zip attached. It replaces your /system/lib/libandroid_servers.so. This library was extracted from Milestone FroyoMOD rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=815595).
ATTENTION:
I recommend you installing 2nd-init (https://market.android.com/details?id=com.pedronveloso.sndinitdefy) and making a nandroid backup before applying this patch. If anything goes wrong (i.e. the library is not compatible with your rom), you'll be stuck in Motorola logo, so starting custom recovery on 2nd-init and restoring the nandroid backup is the easiest way to get your phone back!
Thanks 89luca89 for the library.
Thanks Ephumuris for the rom and original theme.

@slph You must modify framework-res.apk in order to include icons for every battery step. You have also to change the xml that describes battery behavior.

Can I just extract this *.so and replace the one in the official (but rooted) froyo?
Hi there,
Since most of the talks about the battery mod is taking place in this forum I decided to ask for it here.
I've been using the stock 2.3.3 Gingerbread (from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1106375) and I already tried a couple of methods of applying a mod for 1% battery increasement.
Putting a different services.jar has only made me restore the device
Anyway the question is - can someone post a method of getting the 1% trick?
There was a mod for Froyo made with libandroid_servers.so - perhaps someone can do the same for GB.
Thank you for help.
Mike.

But then what?
This is all Darkierawr's work putting this together. He asked me to release it if I have time as he does not. So I tested both files by Odining back to stock, rooted and flashed the BML then the MTD version from there. If you see Darkie around make sure to hit a thanks for him.
The MTD version will convert you from BML also and that is a big thanks to Toadlife for his conversion script.
So this is a flashable of the odexed full stock prerooted of the FC19 leak. Big thanks to Whosdaman for getting the tar for us.
The FC19 modem is here: http://d-h.st/eU1
For Odin installation of modem - Odin 1.85: http://d-h.st/i1Q
This was rooted with shadowkernel so thanks to Bbelos!
The FC19 leak had the Sprint Connections Optimizer conspicuously missing so was this a backup plan? Who knows. Check it out if you like.
BML version:

MTD version:

Neither I nor Darkierawr are responsible if you brick your phone, partner breaks up with, favorite show gets cancelled, a dingo eats your baby, a tornado takes you to Oz, or of course the Zombie apocalypse!

Odin is still definetly the way to do it.. coming from fc09 all the apps came with but still have 4g randomly coming on plus random reboots and freezing up when scrolling through the market hopefully this fixes all that. would still love to have sound for boot animation and some kind of sutdown animation would rock... any chance??

Coming from Odin of FC09 on BML this has all stock boot ani and sound. The MTD kernel used has the flashing Android waiting for you to stick in bootani and sound of choice. A quick google will get you better answers but odexed means each apk in app folder and each jar file in framework folder is coupled with an odex file making it more difficult to theme or mod. Deodexed combines needed info into the apk files as well as in classes.dex. Then just the apk or jar file can be modded.

The only thing deodexed is used for is theming and modding.
If you're not going to be doing either of those flashing this should be fine.
How do we strip out the Sprint bloatware? Once it's rooted, can it just be uninstalled? Or will it come out with one of the uninstaller apps?
I think it's time to try something stock again- as much as I like ThunderHawk4, I'd really like my data to work correctly by itself all the time.
I have a personal [unproven] theory that different phones react differently to different ROM/kernel combinations. My first EPIC definitely played better with a greater variety than my current refurb. Maybe STOCK is easiest for some?
