Will somebody please move this???
Hey buddy. I'm sure that, to you, this is the single most important thing in the world right now, but the forum is for developers, new ROMs etc, not for this.
Please post this sort of question in the 'General' or 'Q&A' forums in future.

The STICKY thread [ROM]Shipped Desire S ROM Collection is the proper place for such question.
It will lead you to a filesharing website which will contain RUU_Saga_TMO_DE_1.30.111.1, which you can use with any downgrade guide around if your version is higher.
The thread is reported for move to Q&A

Hi all,
i just get my new HTC magic phone which is vodafone branded (vodafone bootscreen and vodafone application).
Is there any solution to upgrade the software as to remove the bootscreen and any vodafone tag ?
I read some threads about this but it is still unclear for me.
Many thanks for your help. ++

Someone should delete this thread as it has nothing todo with 'development'.

Hi, you will need to root the phone to be able to install a new ROM and therefore remove the vodafone branding.

No need to install a new ROM to get rid of the vodafone branding.
Search on google for: splash1 magic
It is possible to push a new splash1 without rooting (i did that on my UK vodafone)

Hello folks,
I am ready to S-Off my Sensation. As part of ikhzter's awesome guide I was looking to get the stock ROM for the H3G UK Sensation, but I see that it is not listed here. My question is this...
If I were to follow the guide, and then CWM backup my phone after running a factory reset, can I extract or convert the CWM backup data / image to RUU format, so that it can be used the to restore S-On (if I choose to at a later date), again as part of the guide?
If it is possible, I'd also like to share the stock ROM with community.
Any pointers greatly appreciated

Any luck creating an RUU for the H3G Sensation?
I am so keen to try custom ROMs it hurts! But if there is no RUU to return my phone to stock if anything ever goes wrong then I can't afford to take the chance
Does anyone have the H3G UK RUU? Or any method to extract/create one from my phone?
Sensation H3G UK RUU
Hey there,
I had another read of that thread you posted. Many pages down, there is actually a link for the H3G RUU! The OP just hasn't updated the the list on the front page, annoyingly.
Here is the link to the file -

Hope this helps!

Hi all
The speaker on my phone is crackling so i suspect I'll need to send it back to htc for repair. In preparation for this I figure I\ll need to return the phone back to its original state.
Before someone gives m the smack down, I have tried searching but couldn't find a thread.
What do I need to do? Im running a custom rom (Endy 3.5) at the moment.
How do I check the hboot version?
anyone got a link to the RUU for T-Mobile UK ?
Do I need to S-ON the phone?
all comments appreciated. Thanks
Yes you need to S-ON. To check tbe hboot reboot to bootloader, you can do that from the power menu(in your case).
Search for the RUU in Football's thread in the Development section.
I don't believe you that you searched the forum.

Whatever/however you do, make sure you change your misc_version first, so you don't run into a bootloader loop (like I did). Details here.

Im glad I had you laughing all night, doesn't take much does it?
Phone is back to stock and of to htc.
Well, the purpose of this thread is to update the HOS that most operator from latam brought to us, why? Because we cannot use some of the ROMs that are barely found for our HOS because we need 4.0.4 as base. I've been reading about flashing the proper RUU but after browsing the web I was not able to find that RUU for our devices, they left us alone. Now, I think that there is a possible way to update our HOS, if there are other HOS from every region that got that update, we could take a part of those files and try to flash it into our devices.
Now, I'm newbie about this things of developing, but I can try to flash all files and test the ways if possible, but I don't want to brick my phone, so my question is if is possible to flash the hboot of another RUU (from another HOS s3) and in that way, we won't have the restriction of the hboot anymore and meaby we could try some ROMs like TrickDroid 6.0.0 or the JB ROM from luxandroid. I've been reading and found that there is a way to extract all the content of a RUU and get the flashable files, but those methods were for other HTC devices. Some of the files that are extracted from a RUU are the hboot file, which could be flashable, and that's what I would like to try.
TL;DR: Can I flash a hboot extracted from a RUU that is not compatible with my device's CID?
Also, sorry for my english, I hope you could understand it
If this is a question, then why you post in on development section?

If this was your answer, then why did you bother to do it? I'm trying to get this working, but first I need to know if is possible or if someone already tryed it before a brick my phone.
flashing hboot manually is impossible as much as I know
I moved this thread to Q&A/Support because it has nada to do with development. As long as you don't develop something, stay out of that section.
Hi friends, very good morning to all. I'm new to the forum and came to ask you some questions. I am owner of a HTC One S (S3) sold for Movistar Venezuela. I bought about in November, the first time I came. after being somewhat bored with my phone lol I decided to root, which went quite well and I had no problem whatsoever. root after having it I realized that there were greater things he could do, so I decided to go back to the Stock Rom, and to try to do this I came across the official RUU Movistar Venezuela is not anywhere. to be with the desire to go back to my stock Rom. I began to search the HTCDev page. operator operator that I came across is a RUU claiming to be the same model that brings MovistarVE officer and access the link clearly says "villec2" as identified our HTC One S with S3 processor. My question is this.
1. Would it be that this Rom is the same with that come our HOS (S3) MovistarVE?
2. If you install this RUU and block our bootloader stay Not impossible for the SAT see what we did with our HOS (S3) VE?
those are my questions.
I personally do not verifying this because I do not feel as qualified as to make it and rescue my phone in case of Brick. I say this to see if any of you with more experience if you do the test. I leave the picture where you see the RUU in HTCDev page.
Thank you.
excuse my bad English. I do not know speak very well
The HtcDev page is showing kernel source download, its not RUU
oh, did not see that
