[APP] Solar Charger - Hilarious - HTC Desire S

Award winning Troll Bait here. Just thought I should share the laughs I've had with this one. At first claims to charge your phone up by turning the screen into a Solar Panel! Designed to bait trolls who post crap reviews on apps before reading the whole description.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.szlab.solarcharger&feature=top-free
Send it to gullible friends. Wait for them to figure it out!
The most fun to be had though is with the reviews. They are hilarious. Some proper imagination here and my kind of humour. Worth installing just to put your own review on. Use your imagination! Here are some of my favourites;
Will on March 24, 2012 (HTC Desire S with version 1.1)
Amazing!
I was out walking my dog in the park when my phone gave me a low battery warning. I sat on a bench and used this app for 25 minutes. A mugger saw me with my phone out and came to steal it, but this app had done such a good job of charging my battery, I was able to use the excess charge as a Tazer and I zapped the mugger who collapsed and lost bladder control. This app fights crime as well as charge your battery!
Ollie on March 21, 2012 (Samsung Galaxy Mini with version 1.1)
:O unbelievable
The other day it was about 2am, and I was playing top trumps with Susan Boyle in the Pacific, when suddenly a ufo flew over our heads, so I got out my phone to take a pic, but - oh no - "<14% battery, please close." So, I loaded this app and was amazed. It is so advanced it could bend the light from my camera flash at the back to my screen and before the ufo left my sight my phone had charged to 100% and I took a pic of it. NASA is currently investigating it, and have issued all their staff with this app.
Sandy on March 18, 2012 (Samsung Galaxy S2 with version 1.1)
this is awsome!!!!!
i was running into power issues at home and was going to buy some solar panels for my house but i found this. i bought 50, £20 phones and connected them up to a central hub. On a sunny day it generates 1kwh of electricity. i can run my oven and cooker for free at THE SAME TIME! im thinking of buying 1000 more over 2 years and creating my own national grid in my neighborhood, now they can pay me for using my electricity. its a win win situation man! im going to be a very rich man thanks to you!!!!! .
Paul on March 23, 2012 (Samsung Infuse 4G with version 1.1)
Wow!
I was just riding down the sidewalk on my bike today and i accidentally flipped over my handlebars. I had minor spinal and brain damage, but with the remaining brain power i did have left i thought "Wow i really wish i could charge my phone using the sun." I found this app and bam! My dream became a reality. On a side note, i think i need to go get my spine checked out, i cant feel my legs.
Paul on March 19, 2012 (Samsung Galaxy S2 with version 1.1)
The best app of 2012
This app is amazing. I walked out of my house to check on my pet electric eel this morning but found it floating due to it losing it's charge. Luckily I had this app already installed on my SGS 2 along with a micro SD USB cable and was able to recharge him up in under 30 seconds, unbelievable! A true lifesaver!
David on March 18, 2012 (Samsung Galaxy S with version 1.1)
AWESOME
As a NASA scientist I am always looking for alternative energy sources for our rockets. This App can power a space shuttle for ALL the stages of take off JUST from solar energy. I am seriously impressed! We are now developing a way to reverse the energy flow so that we can charge the sun.
phillip on March 20, 2012 (LG Optimus One with version 1.1)
Super-Solar-Tastic!
This app is By far the most impressive accomplishment in the history of mankind! This app absorbed so much solar energy that it created an Aurora Borealis even though I was nowhere near the Poles of the earth!!!! It single handedly overloaded the city of New York and caused a power outage. Then it proceeded to power the whole city again By itself, integrating it's will into the master mainframe. An intelligent app that now seeks to control every aspect of the city. AMAZING!!!!
Christine on March 21, 2012 (HTC Thunderbolt with version 1.1)
Awesome App!
This app is a miracle...literally. I was walking to the bar last night when this guy was laying on the ground. I checked for a pulse but he was a goner. I remembered I installed this app so I put my phone on his chest and BAM, that sucker opened his eyes! He was so alive, he came into the bar and we drank like sailors all night.
Have fun!

good joke!
you can fool your friends with 'charging feature'

What phone have I seen?

Guys, pull up a chair and put your feet up, I'll tell you a story.
As some of you may know, by day I'm a commercial lawyer based in London, and by night I steal ice creams from little children.
Right now I'm working on a possible anti-competitive practise investigation, and so am working in Brussels for a few weeks. Yesterday I got to the Eurostar station in Brussels, all ready for my plush seated journey home, when I discovered the unhappy news that all trains were cancelled due to a fire in London.
Anyway, that's the context of my story.
While fighting back the tears of anguish at the prospect of spending another night in a 5 star hotel with free porn, I noticed that the smart suited gentleman next to me was using an interesting phone that I didn't recognise.
Now, you could say that I've seen a phone or two in my time, but I didn't recognise this one. And it was a nice phone, ie "trading in the One Ring" for it nice. My Precioussss.
This phone: it was roughly the size of an excalibur, ie large smartphone format. It had a blackberry style keyboard (ie not slide out), was quite thin, and curiously, was smooth chrome/silver on the sides, although the front was mostly black. It had a large screen, although I didn't see the OS, and again, oddly, it had a nipple joystick like the Artemis that lit up white-ish when he touched it, much like my own erogenous zones.
Anyone know what it could have been? Me wants...
V
Was it the BlackBerry Pearl?
http://na.blackberry.com/eng/devices/device-detail.jsp?navId=H0,C101,P203
sounds more like the blackberry 8800,
on the same site as above
Maybe it was a vertu ?

http://www.vertu.com/homepage.jsp?lang=en
Yes! It was the Blackberry 8800... Hmm, they did well on the sexiness of the design. I've just received an 8700 from work, and can't say I appreciate the design much, but the 8800 is definitely more Vertu then Casio design-school. Very sexy.
But I think I'll stick with HTCs for now... Blackberry OS =

My list of complaints

I'm so disappointed in this phone. I thought it was going be so much more. Here is my list of complaints.
1) It should have came with a toothbrush attachment so I can stick it on vibrate and brush my teeth with it.
2) There's no laser pointer, dog whistle, breathalyzer or pico projector in it. Those LG engineers are stingy.
3) It should have had a knife attachment so I can put it on vibrate and cut chicken with it.
4) It should have came with an etching attachment so I could etch nasty comments on the back of my friends Iphones.
5) When I say, "wonderphone powers activate" and slam it down on the table and say, "take the form of a dildo" it should just do it.
6) It should have came with a case................of beer.
7) Since it was released in stores on 4/20 it should have came with a big fat joint so we could be high as ****e while playing Nova on hdmi out and fantasizing about that android chick.
8) It should have a wallpaper of it eating iphones.
9) Since it's the alpha phone from the alpha quadrant it should know how to "fake it till you make it" and it should trick us into believing it's running honeycomb.
10) When my girlfriend calls it should splash random excuses and lies on the screen in case she asks what was I doing and why didn't I answer the phone.
11) When my car alarm goes off it should go off too and flash, "someones stealing your car" on the screen.
12) It should have fart noise cancellation - the anti "fart app" app so if I fart nobody knows it's me.
13) It should give sass to keep things interesting depending on how much sassiness I choose from the settings menu - no sass, sassy, extra sassy and super sassy.
If I choose super sassy I should get an audio confirmation from Mike meyers.
Example ME: "Phone, google search g2x review." Phone: "Say please."
14) It should have a set of wings and propellers accessory so I can just slip them on and tell it to go fly to a gps coordinate and come back with footage or I could just say, "find Mary, go boy!"
15) It should respond to me like the computers in star trek and address me as sir or mister.
16) It should slide up and down on my johnson while vibrating and playing an animation of my favorite playboy bunny - slding up and down on my Johnson.
17) It should double as a coaster. I've tried but it just gets moisture in it and then won't come back on. I've went through 3 already.
18) I should be able to scan a sandwhich and have it tell me how much calories it has.
19) It won't scan for life signs I tried.
20) It should have echo location and warn me when I'm drunk and walking at night if a cop car is coming or I'm going to bump into something.
21) When I'm spending special time with my girlfriend it should use the accelerometer to measure my thrust strength and count and compare it to a national database of males to see how I'm doing and it should filter out lesbians with strapons that will try to bloat the figures on purpose to hurt our egos.
22) It should have came with a kickstand ............. for my bike. It's a decent bike with monkey lights and bike speakers and I'm tired of laying it on the ground.
23) The battery should be from Chino not China, Chino not China, Chino...!! I don't know how old these batteries are and lithiums lose capacity right after they are made whether they get used or not.
24) You're killing me with the task managers froyo! Just end and kill the task when I exit it and let me exit it holy crap!
Wait a second, I didn't type that right because I'm doing 7 things at once.
25) It should taste good when I lick it
26) It should be made out of liquidmetal so it's indestructible http://www.liquidmetal.com/index/default.asp
unless you leave it on top of a very hot oven.
27) When I toss it in the air with a flip to catch it again it should say, "Weeeeeeeee."
28) it should come with an attachment that lets me use it to play spin the bottle and a cheating app that lets me make it point to the girl that I want.
29) Where is the zipbuds?
http://www.amazon.com/Zipbuds-DGA-T...LVS/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1303504291&sr=8-3?
geez
30) When I root it I should see Kunta Kinte on the screen http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Roots_25th_Anniversary_Edition.jpg
31) None of the compass apps lead me to hookers and blow

Actually if you know in which direction the hookers and blow can be found the compass can be quite helpful. You can even use the phone capabilities of the phone to order specific hookers or amounts of blow beforehand. (My favorite is Scarlett and an 8-ball, but I hear Sunny is good too but is always dipping into your blow)
EDIT:
This was one of the funniest things I've read all day btw.
Haha I love this list!

Thanks, Let's keep it up. I was lmao thinking up this stuff. Shows you how happy I am with the phone.
I have a night shift manufacturing job that's boring and I was thinking of these things at work smiling and laughing my ass off and I'm sure my coworkers we're walking by going "WTF is so funny, maybe Aaron's crazy."
you too
thought i was the only one who noticed all this was missing. guess it only comes with the tegra 3.

I've learned that BBQ sauce really helps with this. It sucks having to buy accessories for your new phone though, but I've found that the KC Masterpiece model is one of the best.

I think it should've come with a form of "4G" that has 200ms+ pings, locked to Bing search, and attached to a $100+/month contract.
(Sarcasm, just to put things into perspective.)
Thought this was another "my screen is bleeding and the power button is on top that's why im whining" thread. funny list. Haha...
I actually laughed @ no. 5 and 12.

Mine wasn't too hard root, but it took forever for it to flash the "My name is Toby" ROM for me!
32) It should zap mosquitos with High voltage that land on me, bug zapper fail.
It should make all my traffic lights green so I can floor it everywhere I go.
Awesome list man.
It should let everything I touch turn into Jessica Alba
33) It should have came with the ringtone, "Don't cha wish your cellphone was hot like me?"
34) Where's google Milky Way? geez I thought it was dual core
35) When I score with a hot chick it should project a hologram that gives me a high five
36) It should have came with 5g's
37) When I call it by it's pet name it should vibrate across the table to me
38) It should coach me on how to pick up women through my bluetooth headset
39) When I ahem *finish* it should say, "congratulations sir."
40) When a girl asks me if that's a phone in my pocket or am I just happy to see her it should not start the fake call app like it's been doing. There's no need to be an attention whore.
41) It should help me find meteors
42) When I buy apps for it, it should giggle, vibrate lovingly and give me compliments
43) It should climb up my chest and gently vibrate on my eyelids to wake me up
44) It should hack my ps3 and turn down the difficulty level on all the games to make me think I'm a better player than I really am.
45) When I get banned from this forum for potty mouth it should hack its way back on here and apologize for me.
46) There should be an option in the camera settings to see a picture - in a picture - in a picture - in a picture - in a picture so I can point my camera anywhere and see infinity.
47) When I bought it, it should have named a start in the sky after me as thanks.

Question (Q): Are there any threats to the Earth in 2012? Many Internet websites say the world will end in December 2012.
Answer (A):The world will not end in 2012. Our planet has been getting along just fine for more than 4 billion years, and credible scientists worldwide know of no threat associated with 2012.
Q: What is the origin of the prediction that the world will end in 2012?
A: The story started with claims that Nibiru, a supposed planet discovered by the Sumerians, is headed toward Earth. This catastrophe was initially predicted for May 2003, but when nothing happened the doomsday date was moved forward to December 2012 and linked to the end of one of the cycles in the ancient Mayan calendar at the winter solstice in 2012 -- hence the predicted doomsday date of December 21, 2012.
Q: Does the Mayan calendar end in December 2012?
A: Just as the calendar you have on your kitchen wall does not cease to exist after December 31, the Mayan calendar does not cease to exist on December 21, 2012. This date is the end of the Mayan long-count period but then -- just as your calendar begins again on January 1 -- another long-count period begins for the Mayan calendar.
Q: Is NASA predicting a "total blackout" of Earth on Dec. 23 to Dec. 25?
A: Absolutely not. Neither NASA nor any other scientific organization is predicting such a blackout. The false reports on this issue claim that some sort of "alignment of the Universe" will cause a blackout. There is no such alignment (see next question). Some versions of this rumor cite an emergency preparedness message from NASA Administrator Charles Bolden. This is simply a message encouraging people to be prepared for emergencies, recorded as part of a wider government preparedness campaign. It never mentions a blackout. ›Watch the Video
Q: Could planets align in a way that impacts Earth?
A: There are no planetary alignments in the next few decades and even if these alignments were to occur, their effects on the Earth would be negligible. One major alignment occurred in 1962, for example, and two others happened during 1982 and 2000. Each December the Earth and sun align with the approximate center of the Milky Way Galaxy but that is an annual event of no consequence. › More about alignment
Q: Is there a planet or brown dwarf called Nibiru or Planet X or Eris that is approaching the Earth and threatening our planet with widespread destruction?
A: Nibiru and other stories about wayward planets are an Internet hoax. There is no factual basis for these claims. If Nibiru or Planet X were real and headed for an encounter with the Earth in 2012, astronomers would have been tracking it for at least the past decade, and it would be visible by now to the naked eye. Obviously, it does not exist. Eris is real, but it is a dwarf planet similar to Pluto that will remain in the outer solar system; the closest it can come to Earth is about 4 billion miles.
Q: What is the polar shift theory? Is it true that the Earth's crust does a 180-degree rotation around the core in a matter of days if not hours?
A: A reversal in the rotation of Earth is impossible. There are slow movements of the continents (for example Antarctica was near the equator hundreds of millions of years ago), but that is irrelevant to claims of reversal of the rotational poles. However, many of the disaster websites pull a bait-and-switch to fool people. They claim a relationship between the rotation and the magnetic polarity of Earth, which does change irregularly, with a magnetic reversal taking place every 400,000 years on average. As far as we know, such a magnetic reversal doesn’t cause any harm to life on Earth. Scientists believe a magnetic reversal is very unlikely to happen in the next few millennia. › More about polar shift
Q: Is the Earth in danger of being hit by a meteor in 2012?
A: The Earth has always been subject to impacts by comets and asteroids, although big hits are very rare. The last big impact was 65 million years ago, and that led to the extinction of the dinosaurs. Today NASA astronomers are carrying out a survey called the Spaceguard Survey to find any large near-Earth asteroids long before they hit. We have already determined that there are no threatening asteroids as large as the one that killed the dinosaurs. All this work is done openly with the discoveries posted every day on the NASA Near-Earth Object Program Office website, so you can see for yourself that nothing is predicted to hit in 2012.
Q: How do NASA scientists feel about claims of the world ending in 2012?
A: For any claims of disaster or dramatic changes in 2012, where is the science? Where is the evidence? There is none, and for all the fictional assertions, whether they are made in books, movies, documentaries or over the Internet, we cannot change that simple fact. There is no credible evidence for any of the assertions made in support of unusual events taking place in December 2012. › Why you need not fear a supernova › About super volcanoes
Q: Is there a danger from giant solar storms predicted for 2012?
A: Solar activity has a regular cycle, with peaks approximately every 11 years. Near these activity peaks, solar flares can cause some interruption of satellite communications, although engineers are learning how to build electronics that are protected against most solar storms. But there is no special risk associated with 2012. The next solar maximum will occur in the 2012-2014 time frame and is predicted to be an average solar cycle, no different than previous cycles throughout history.
On NASA site..want the link ill post it..
I'm thankful that on the 21st all the believers will be awestruck that the world didn't end...the Mayan calendar did not say the world was going to end..and that I won't have to hear any of this 2012 bologne.
There you go.

*there (sorry it bugged me , not trying to be a grammar nazi)
Anyways lmao, with all that debunking knowledge, whoever wrote that failed to realize what an actual pole shift (the one that is being portrayed that will happen ) is ?it was never about the physical poles shifting.
Its the magnetic field lol.
Its real and were overdue for it.
I believe its starting to happen now as they've shown map data of magnetic field in specific areas shifting causing it to weaken as well.
But changes is so gradual (about a process of 100m years ) that it won't cause sudden harm.
Just clarifying.
I think the closest way earth will end ,which it prolly won't, is :
-Big solar flare/storm + weak magnetic field
: With the combination of weak magnetic field and a powerful and penetrating solar flare.
-Yellowstone eruption
; this is the real threat right here ,and not very impossible.
If you've been paying attention lately ,volcanoes around the world had been erupting and more forming. As if a sign of big activity below the crust.
-Asteroid/comet impact :
Also very possible, always been. If you've payed attention, 2 asteroids barely missed us this year ,with one passing between earth and satellites.
-Gammar ray bursts
Explosion from giant stars.if it points right at us ,even from a billion light years away ,will cause great radiation damage.
Kind of in the same thread level as space rocks hitting earth.
-Human Cause :
Biological warfare ,nuclear war, you name it.
Anyways. . I can never choose between those 2012 freaks or those skeptical fools who never pay attention to the world they're living in.

Hi, as a noob I apologise if I have posted this in the incorrect place, however, this is both a request for help and a reply to your question.
I have a medical issue causing me to leave the military. Without telling the whole story, in the space of 2 years after coming back from sea, I was wiped out twice on my first and second ZX-6 Ninja (idiot did right hand turn in front of me, second rammed me on my new one at a red light) then I was rammed from behind in my car by an idiot who decided to double the speed limit). Then I was rammed from behind at another red light by an idiot who hit the idiot behind me. Then I was ripped out of the passenger side of my wife's car after coming off the freeway, by another moron who then whacked me in the face twice with a piece of firewood, sending me unconscious. Total 13 surgeries, 2 broken hands, 1 broken arm, 2 broken shoulders, a broken neck, broken knee, broken nose and to top it off I have severe nerve pain in my dominant right hand, and due to meds I have collapsed multiple times and have dislocated my fingers diving off my balcony in my sleep. So to try and get some sort of safety device installed in my house that could detect if I fall DVA suggested a unit that relied on mercury switches, a transceiver, transponder and a physical connection to my home phone total $2000 and a waste of time as the thing goes off every five minutes when you lay down which I do due to constant headaches and migraines, so pretty useless. As a Military Communications Electronics Technician I could have built the thing myself using an arduino and some sensors. So having an iPhone 5 with every sensor under the sun I went searching the Apple App Store. Pointless nothing worked even with my jail broken phone that would run in the background and just activate when needed. So having had multiple android phones and I still have an Asus TF101 (rooted) so I did a search on Google Play and there are half a dozen apps that do exactly what I want (almost). So I grabbed a Samsung Galaxy Note 3, best I could find battery, sensor. Processor and Memory wise. It works a treat, except for 1. When its charging 2. In my backpack whilst I'm on the train (so no one nicks it from me) 3. When I'm driving 4. When I just don't feel like having a massive phone in my pocket and I want to put it down. Keeping in mind I have it in an Otterbox Defender ATM and I am considering getting a ZeroLemon case with 10000mAh battery. So I believe a secondary device wirelessly connected to my perfectly good phone (save for those examples above) which I can use to Stop Alarm Conditions (I am trialling an App called Fade and it is the best so far) when I have the phone away from me (in pocket, in car, backpack etc) now this App 1 Sends an SMS to my wife 2 sends an email to my Carer 3 Dials my wife, opens the circuit, she can hear what's going on if I am moaning or groaning or I'm making a cup of tea. My wife being a cop gets a pretty good response, the last time it was three cops and three ambos kicking me out into consciousness. Now with the selection of watches that are available now, I'm tossing up between the Sony SW2 and the Samsung Gear ( if someone can programme the thing to open a video feed from my wrist it would be awesome). Problem without having them I cannot try them out and figure out which is best.
Now I know there are pendants you can get (I doubt I'm going to have a heart attack and be awake to trigger it) . To me it just makes good sense to have a watch and a phone combination that can give me the security to know that if I collapse whilst looking after my daughter (she's not even 2) then my Carer or my wife can get to my home or have emergency services get here and secure my daughter. Then look after me if I'm still ticking. So that is my answer and question.
If this isn't a bad joke, Wow man ... My jaw is on the floor. What an unlucky streak you had. Well this might be the right time to acquire a new device in the form of a smart wrist device. This week at CES companies are announcing their new devices. LG already announced a wrist band type of a device which also doubles as a watch. The neat thing is with the special headphones it cones with it can monitor your hearth beats as well. http://www.engadget.com/2014/01/06/lg-lifeband-touch-heart-rate-monitor-earphones/ checkt it out. Also there will be more smartwatches announced this week. You can just pick one to your liking.
Samsung galaxy gear is nice with all the bells and the whistles but the problem is the battery life. SW2 has less but better battery life. But I believe there will be better devices hopefully very soon.

Cheers mate appreciate it. Your jaw is on the floor. I think mine is about the only thing I haven't broken. Having said that, I reckon I could write a book based on the last 5 almost 6 years. Trust me, I do not leave the house nowadays without good reason. I have also considered making a video on you tube so I don't have to continue to repeat the entire fiasco to every surgeon and specialist i hive to go to, not to mention lawyers.
Anyways, the Galaxy Gear, would suit my needs I think, that is if I can get "Fade" onto the watch itself. After doing a thorough analysis of everything out there at the moment, the Gear is the only watch I could find with its own accelerometer and gyroscope. Having said that, if that doesn't work it may be a pain to have to learn to code an app for the Gear to do it, firstly not sure if there is an SDK for it, secondly I wouldn't have the faintest idea how to replicate the algorithm that the designer of "Fade" has used.
Oh I also discovered , that the Gear actually does have a vibrate mode. Not one video I have seen or webpage I have been to has mentioned.it save one Youtube video I saw last night. Cannot point you to it because this form is telling me I have had to post 10 posts before it will let me quote URLs.

Thank you. Found out yesterday I am probably having another neck surgery. Find out if I will have another surgery on my shoulder, in a couple of weeks.
And you are right, it does sound like a joke. In the first accident my wife who was pillion landed flat on her face with my Ninja on top of her. I was trying to figure out why I couldn't get the bike off of her to check her vitals. Turned out my right hand was practical sitting where my elbow was. I didn't notice til someone pointed it out. My wife ended up with a strained ankle. I ended up broken everywhere.

Apparently according to a Fox news article Youtube is going to start banning all videos they consider 'conspiracy' as well as anything racist etc. Good that they are banning racism but apparently they will be banning anti-vaccine information and so I have to wonder if they will be banning anti-EMF videos like the one in the links above. It may be good to look at them or download them while you can.
Dr. Mercola (who has the largest alternative medical site on the Internet) will be doing and EMF Health Summit soon. You can find info here: https://www.emfhealthsummit.com - free to register and you will get immediate access to a number of downloads in PDF on EMF and how to stay healthy.

You can call tin foil hat stuff if you want but after looking into this there is overwhelming evidence of damage from EMF - both cellular and other EMF. Just today I saw this video about mass amounts of bees dying and being found on the ground some still spinning in circles in July a day or so ago. OK so you think it''s nonsense but below are responses from people all over the place - most in large cities where 5G is just getting turned on. Responses from people on Youtube to this phenomenon:

might be a combination of 5G deploy, GMOs, and chemtrails.
4G might affect them too. And to more abundance, we have those HAARP emitters working intermitently. It's not just an attack on the bees, but on humanity.

First there is Frequency Range 1 (FR1) from 410 MHz to 7,125 GHz (Digital Terrestrial TV is just between 300 MHz and 900 MHz) and Frequency Range 2 (FR2) that includes frequency bands from 24.25 GHz to 52.6 GHz.

I think that the 5G is doing more damage to the birds than humans. The birds get disoriented and they can't find the place where they are going and where should get back. Their mental compass gets disturbed by the signal. I don't know how much that effects the people who may be in the long term of using it. I read somewhere that Slovenia, Switzerland and some other countries ban the tasting of the 5G network.
